The Hearing Care Partnership
I was booked in with James Burt for a hearing test at one of the places he’s based Luna Optical on Gloucester Road in Bristol. I am now the proud owner of 1 hearing aid, it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done! I’d been struggling to catch what people were saying and often had to have the subtitles up on the TV, l often didn’t hear the door bell. I was frustrated and so were my family at the amount of things I failed to hear.
I initially went to see James for a hearing test, to discover my ears were full of wax! James was so nice and professional, he booked me in for wax removal, he was gentle and kind during the treatment as I was a bit nervous but it couldn’t have been better.
A week later I went to have a comprehensive hearing test and hearing aids were ordered for me to try out. Two different types of hearing aids were ordered for me to try out. We walked around the block and through a busy Cafe and shop to test them out, to see which suited me better. The whole time I was put at ease by his relaxed friendly manner, though boy does he know his stuff!
Buying hearing aids privately isn’t cheap but even though my hearing had dropped significantly in my right ear, I still was above the threshold for NHS aids.
It’s amazing the difference it has made to my life, I never realised how tiring struggling to hear was. I can now relax and enjoy conversations, watch tv with the volume down and I always hear the doorbell. Thank you James! I highly recommend.

I recently had a hearing test carried out by James Burt. The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. James was professional, friendly, and very thorough. He made me feel completely at ease and took the time to explain everything clearly and carefully. The level of care and attention was excellent.

James Burt is an excellent audiologist. My 83 year old dad can now hear and enjoy things. He has complex hearing loss and previous expensive hearing aids had not really helped. This is the first time he can hear properly in years. James took care and time to find the right device and settings, and has changed my dad’s life.

Attended the Bristol branch on Gloucester Road for wax removal and impressions. I was seen by James Burt and was very impressed with his professionalism and he made me feel very at ease. Highly recommended!
