This is my 2nd order over the years for new glasses since high street opticians want to charge me £300+ because of my prescription! I got a new pair of gorgeous designer glasses, with the lenses thinned within an inch of their life for less than £100. Not to mention any communication with this company has been super speedy, helpful and polite. I'll be back when I break this pair :D

I purchased a pair of Oakley Holbrook RX prescription glasses from The Glasses Company in October 2025, expecting a premium product at a competitive price. What I received was a nightmare of poor quality, incompetence, and complete disregard for customer satisfaction.
Within a week of receiving them, one lens popped out while I was simply cleaning the glasses. A few days later, both lenses fell out again after a minor drop – clearly a defect in the frame or lens fitting, especially given the curved design of the Holbrook frame that their own staff later admitted can cause retention issues.
I emailed their support, and they instructed me to return the glasses for inspection and repair (at my own expense – £10 for tracked delivery). They confirmed receipt, blamed the frame's design, and promised to order new lenses and glaze them "more securely."
After weeks without my essential glasses (I'm a bus driver and rely on them for work), I received them back on 17 December 2025. To my disbelief, the left lens was completely detached inside the package – the exact same problem, unrepaired!
This is not just a faulty product; it's a total failure of their "repair" process and quality control. I've now been left without usable glasses for over a month, incurred unnecessary costs, and received no apology or proactive resolution.
I followed up with a detailed complaint email demanding a full refund (including my return shipping costs) and a prepaid return label. That was days ago – complete radio silence. No response, no acknowledgment, nothing.
The Glasses Company may have cheap prices, but you get what you pay for: shoddy workmanship, unreliable repairs, and abysmal customer service. Do not risk your money or eyesight here. I'll be escalating this through consumer protection channels and warn everyone I know to steer clear.

I have been waiting for my glasses that were ‘in stock’ and guaranteed delivery within two weeks for now over two months.

The telephone number on website does not work and you can only email. They tell you they will reply within 48 hours. The truth is they may reply to an email, but most of the time they ho ignored.

I have asked for a refund and still awaiting a reply.

I would avoid completely.

Quality product at a good price, great communication. Second purchase and it won't be my last. Highly recommended.

Purchased my glasses frames at a great price

When I bought my glasses from TheGlassesCo last year, the whole process was fine. My frame, however, broke recently, so having visited local opticians and not got a satisfactory fix, I contacted TheGlassesCo. They took the glasses back with no questions asked and replaced the frame extremely promptly. Excellent service, much appreciated.

There was no order confirmation email. I had to email them to check if the order had gone through. I changed my original frames order and they did that with no problem. Then communication went dead again and I eventually chased up after leaving it for 3 weeks. Within 3 days of that I received my order.
I then wanted to return the item and phoned up in the late afternoon. I got straight through. I was told that on the website it states that custom lenses cannot be refunded - just the frames. I was told therefore I would receive ⅙ of what I originally paid.
I ordered complex varifocals, so would probably be less risk - in case they're unsuitable - if just ordering cheaper, simple single visions.
Always check the small print.

Worst customer service and delivery took more than what it promised. I dont recommend this company at all. Will give u confusions, items not available are still on the site, not even marked as "out of stock" or sold out.

Quality of the expensive designer glasses was suspect from the start and after just over one year one of the lenses snapped in half and fell out. Was told I had to pay more to get it fixed as they only had a one year warranty. I guess you get what you pay for given it was cheaper than some other places. Avoid - not using high quality materials.

Didn't get the frames that I ordered. Promised me fast delivery they said my frames were posted all lies would not buy from them again

Extremely poor service from The Glasses Company. Ordered some Ray Bans with prescription lenses via the website to receive an email a few days later to say that the frame and colour ordered has been discontinued. I asked for confirmation if an alternate colour was available to be ignored for several days despite, numerous chase ups looking for clarity on the situation and if I'd need to order elsewhere.

It was not until I stated a chargeback would be issued if I did not receive a response within a reasonable timeframe that I then received an email 2 days later saying 'apologies for the delay, our team have cancelled the order'.

No attempt at resolution, no response to my original question regarding an alternate frame/colour.

This was my first time ordering glasses and my experience with The Glasses Company will ensure I do not attempt another order again in the future.

My advice - avoid and go elsewhere.
