Plumber went above and beyond. Happy customer.

Phone calls to say time might change (could be earlier) kept up to date with times.

They charged us £198 for doing absolutely nothing, they came to our house (charge no call out fee but charge crazy amount for everything else) noted that the leak was below the stop valve so attempted to switch off the property water supply via the stop tap- couldn’t do this and still charged us the full hour and left us with no solution.

An absolute waste of time

Whilst we acknowledge that this is out of their hands charging us this amount when not providing a solution is unfair and too pricey

Extremely disappointing after-sales service

I contacted Local plumbers on last Friday for a cistern issues and thereafter being promised a same-day plumber. Unfortunately, they were unable to attend and later rearranged the appointment for Monday.

The plumber attended on Monday and replaced the toilet cistern, for which I paid about £200. Shortly after he left, however, we noticed water leaking from the pipe underneath the toilet.

I called that evening at around 8pm but could not get through, so I assumed it may have been outside their working hours. I then sent a polite WhatsApp message, including a video clearly showing the leak, simply asking them to come back and rectify the problem.

I followed this up with a call the following day, only to discover that my number appears to have been blocked. I tried contacting them from another number and, after they seemingly realised it was me, that number also appears to have been blocked.

I find this incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. I have not been abusive, unreasonable or asked for anything beyond what I paid for — I simply want the plumbing work completed properly and the leak caused or left following the repair to be addressed.

£200 is not an insignificant amount of money, and a customer should not have to chase a tradesperson after a repair, only to seemingly be deliberately avoided and blocked when reporting a problem.

I would have been perfectly happy to resolve this privately and give them the opportunity to put things right. Unfortunately, the way this has been handled has left me with very little confidence in their customer service.

A very disappointing experience.

Was a great service. Firstly the receptionist you call and discuss what is wrong was very nice and explained their pricing system very well and he got it booked in for 2 hours after i called.

The plumber came on time and before that called to let us know he was coming. When he came he listened to what was wrong and fixed the problem within an hour. Was very impressed and he was a lovely guy.

Highly recommend when your in a tight spot

They took my money which was £200 and just left the property without carry out any work at all, they said nothing they could do about it, basically i feel robbed by this company, do not use them.

The plumber attended earlier than the appointment time (very good), he was very friendly and polite and did the repair to my complete satisfaction. Highly recommend this company.

The engineer turned up very quickly. He was personable and professional and carried out the work efficiently and effectively. I am very pleased with the work done.

Everything was explained on initial phone call regarding costing, plumber arrived as agreed and also explained what needed to be done and the full cost of work carried out, acted professionally and being able to pay by card is much better than cash.

I received fantastic service after I (foolishly) drilled into a bathroom pipe while hanging a cabinet. There was no judgement from either the office I called or from the plumber who arrived (within an hour) to fix the problem. Well worth the money I paid for the service, the plumber, and the speed of repair. Pipe was fixed within 15 minutes of the plumber's arrival.

This was a very difficult job which included pulling out a very heavy Belfast sink and replacing worn out mixer taps.

The gentleman who came was very helpful and friendly. I am disabled and he was careful with my walking. And he solved my problem! Thank you The Local Plumbers.
