Great gift from home

Extremely expensive express delivery 10 days late
Paid €30 for express delivery took 10 days after due date to arrive. Was a surprise birthday gift abd was very late. 2 stars based on the person dealing with it was very pleasant however delivery fee was not refunded and I had to send additional gift.

Thanks a lot for your feedback and I do apologise for the delay in the delivery of your box. Just to give a response, the €30 fee also covers the customs charges that are incurred on arrival in Canada, so that the recipient doesn't need to pay. That is the reason for the slightly higher price for Canada.
The reason for the initial delay was because the courier was not able to access the building of the address given as it may have needed an access code, they tried to call the recipient and there was no response. We then needed to get more information from you about the address so the courier could complete delivery. The recipient would have been sent an SMS text message on the day of delivery too and a message when delivery had failed.
After giving this information to DHL, the box was left on hold by DHL Canada (when information about an address update are given it can take 48 hours for it to be processed and given to the depot in question). In this case the information took longer than expected to process and we have given this feedback to DHL directly as we needed to escalate it to supervisors in Canada in order to get the box delivered, 4 days after the information was provided to them. I appreciate that this delay was frustrating and we need to make sure that the service quality in Canada is kept at the highest level and I do apologise for the inconvenience caused by this delay.
We do depend on customers to give us all the information needed to complete delivery efficiently and in some cases we need the recipient to assist if the address is a private building needing access codes etc. Unfortunately, this was the initial reason for the failed delivery attempt.
I would stress that this is a rare occurrence and we would love another chance to send a box for you and we'll reach out to you via email on this.

Fast reliable good value gift box
Been sending goodies to my daughter in Toronto with Paddy box for few years now. Always good service , delivery tracked and no custom issues or charges. Good value and reliable. Highly recommend Paddy Box. Sent the ‘not before your dinner’ box and it was a hit!

Have ordered boxes in the past and are a great gift but there was a problem with DHL couriers in France, had sent a box before with no problems but for reason this time it seems they couldn't contact the Irish number and even though there was someone at home both days of delivery scheduled they said there was nobody home!
Not great customer service, a bit slow coming back and I'm still waiting on a refund.

Delivery attempt on Weds before Easter my aunt rang the company and was told they would be no more deliveries until the next Tuesday- you should use a different courier company my surprise was ruined.
