Just been into the Norris green to pick…
Just been into the Norris green to pick up a prescription for my dog. Prices doubled! New owners apparently. Not only no out off hours service they send you the pdsa. (Not a good experience when your dog comes out with an anal infection after a dirty thermometer+£340) the vet used to be good my animals an there pet plans are going to another vet now. 1with out of hours service. Disgusted in the new owners a new prices. Reading the latest reviews looks like a not the only unhappy client! GREED
Should look after existing customers
I have been going here with my older dog for almost nine years and my other dog for six years. I was on the pet plan and went to collect flea and worming treatments as required. I always had text message reminders monthly for this and for upcoming vaccinations. When I went recently I was told my dog had missed their vaccination booster by four months (included in my pet plan) and had to start the course again, which I now had to pay for! I was surprised by this as had no reminder. On checking the vaccination record, I realised this was right. However, had not checked this myself due to previous reminders. When asked I was told they were “changing systems” and a reminder is “a courtesy thing” Not happy at all with this response and walked out, cancelled my pet plan and now looking for somewhere else. I never requested reminders, but felt it was a nice touch and admit I became reliant on this. You should have notified customers if not offering this service anymore! Bad customer service in my opinion!

Great vets!
I’ve been coming to them for over two years now. I registered my cat with them and my puppy 6 months ago. They are extremely loving and caring towards my pets - their advice is always genuine and great. From booster jabs and check ups to my anxious cat and puppy eating half a chocolate cake! they’ve been supportive and helpful. they also have decent prices - a lot less than some of the other companies out here!
i’d 100% recommend them to my friends and family.

Only interested in money !
A while ago, they were ok,walk in clinic which was very convenient for many people I suppose. Prices were also very good…
A good strategy to get clients! Than boom! No more walk in, only appointments, which you can not get very soon, prices exploded! A written prescription as an example, from £10.50 suddenly became £22. Appointment prices doubled! One of my dogs have a history of eye ulcers, so I know she will get it when I see her symptoms, I went to them, been given antibiotics and been told I MUST come back in one week. When I called and told them my dog if fine, I have been told that it is an EMERGENCY and I have to come in so they can check if she is ok!! I know when my dog is ok and when she is not! So, I had to change them after 2-3 years with them, because I just had enough. And this are just a few things that are wrong with them…

Keep clear ...money grabbers
pooch suffered with yeasty ears...was told they would do a ear scrape to identify what was what...I knew it was yeast infection as he's had it before anyways...thinking it was being sent away to be tested I agreed NO they just put it under the scope...rang the same day to tell me he needed putting under to do a ear clean + bloody taking as he was going under ..nearly £300 they wanted....got a second opinion from another vets...didn't need being put under for ear clean...didn't have the infection that this Vets said he had ....the lady vet that I saw there was just interested in ££££ for what they could get out of me........Will Never go this vets again they are not for the animals they are just in it for the ££££

At all cost the laziness and unprofessionalism of this practice is beyond belief. I’ve never been somewhere so horrific. Myself and multiple friends have had bad experiences, resulting in their pets, almost dying.

I am disappointed
I am disappointed. I really do feel it's just money. My bill came to £250 for a blood test and 24ml gabepetin. I am shocked 24ml cost £45. Your prices have shot up. I bet this is more expensive than gold. I won't be using you in future.
AVOID
They give a price which is valid for a month. When I tried to book in the appointment it was delayed on their behalf. Then they could miraculously fit me in one day AFTER the quote expired and wouldn't honour it and tried to tell me the prices had changed and increased from £79, to £139!
Waited days for someone to call back to see if they would honour the quote and I eventually gave up waiting and have now booked into another local vet, with a quote of £80 and a booked appointment appointment. Totally unorganised and The vert has gone downhill. I've been registered here a few years now and they have seen and operated on 4 of my animals. I'm unsure if reception staff have changed or management but something has gone wrong and it is reflecting through the practice and the way in which clients are treated. All they seem interested in now is money, not the welfare of the animals. Such a shame but I wouldn't recommend using these at all anymore. With their price increases, they no longer compete with other affordable vets with a much better service.

Avoid this people
Avoid this people. I’ve been there twice and would never go again. Prices terrible, customer service disgusting. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! When my dog needed emergency treatment the first question was - can you wear a mask at your visit? I have a shaking screaming dog in my hands and you are asking me to wear a mask first! Went to Pets at Home Chingford Vet. They are the best people ever and always happy to provide an emergency service to my both rabbits and my dog.
P.S emergency VET request after pandemic! Disgusting customer service! I make sure not of my friends use your practice. Glad few already left

to my end of life request for my elderly toy Yorkie.
The vets carried out the dignified euthanasia with total care and compassion. On a Sunday morning.

At first great but I’m not sure any…
At first great but I’m not sure any more. Cat was foaming at the mouth kept him in very good care. Cat sent home where he sneezed constantly and then we pull a 15cm piece of grass from his nose. £700 down and somehow they didn’t see this! It has now taken 13 days and counting for them to fill in my insurance firms! I have chased the insurer has chased. No response to email and phones keep cutting out. Therefore I wouldn’t recommend as I am seriously out of pocket and the communication is dreadful when you want them to do something but happy to take your money! Shame vets were nice but the administration is poor.
COMPASSION
show of compassion Sadly we had to say goodbye to our love cat Pedro. It is an awful time but this vet show so much compassion and was very professional. We were given time, and even offered a cup of tea. But most of all was the time and patience shown to our lovely cat who deserved the best and got the best. I am pleased that we came to you. Not just the vet but the reception staff were kind and offered their sympathy. The follow up service was also very good.

Cannot do Pet travel documents! Called this vet practice and asked…
Called this vet practice and asked whether they can produce paperwork for pet travelling abroad. Had been told they can. Travelled 25 miles to appointment. On the day they refused to change the port of entry from Dover Eurotunnel to Dover Port. Called DEFRA and was told they should have on the spot as it makes no difference. They gave us AHC and forgot to inform we also need EHC. Then turns out practice is not registered with DEFRA for a year and VA is the actual manager. This manager then called and gave me wrong advice on travel stating that blood test is also required. I checked with DEFRA and it wasn’t. This cannot be worse. For travel documents don’t bother unless want to waste money and time. Absolutely irresponsible management.
Not a very good experience
Maybe I was unlucky as the other reviews here seem OK. However, I tried to book an appointment via the phone, I was told to go online and register. I went online and registered and then called back to book an appointment and was told that there aren't any places available, they aren't really interested in my custom right now, they are busy enough and that I should go to another VET. Astonishing.

Best vet in Warrington
I take my cats here. Best vet in Warrington by far. The vets and nurses are so lovely with the animals. They are very professional and thorough. The reception staff are always welcoming and caring. Also you can always get a quick appointment and charges are less than other vets in the area. Sara especially is a truly kind, thoughtful, professional vet. Give them a go.
Sadly, I feel this practice is in the business of selling products and procedures as a priority.
I cancelled my health plan as I was extremely disappointed with the service. I paid Pet ins £16.25 per month which worked out 48.75 for 3 months, almost £200 per year, which is mostly for flea treatment and 1 worm tablet (1/2 every 6 months). Whilst I understand that did include two visits a year no charge and anal glands expressed and nail cutting service, I still think it’s an expensive service for a tiny chihuahua when the service is poor! Within 11 months I had to contact practice twice as to why I hadn’t received his treatment. Reason for the first time was one system had my new address and the other computer system had my old address. The last reason I was told was for some reason there was a suspended notice showing against my delivery which prevented a notification going through that the prescription needed updated and the practice couldn’t figure out why! This was just not acceptable and not a beneficial service worth paying for.
Sadly, I feel this practice is in the business of selling products and procedures. I am unhappy with the practice ‘over charging’ for products as I paid £32.07 19/10/22 for 6 tablets for a skin allergy which I found I could buy online for 0.06 each (albeit with a vet prescription but still shows how much profit is made) and 1 x Douro mousse which I could also buy online for £12.21. I understand as a business they must ‘make money’ but surely you should advise clients that the items could be purchased much cheaper online!
Also, I was quoted between £480- £600 + to receive dental care for my tiny chihuahua which would include him undergoing an X-ray to see extent of problem of his gums but they would only be able to determine the cost if he had the xray but it would have to be under anaesthetic. I was really upset that this couldn’t have been done whilst he had already had anaesthetic late September 2022 for another procedure, I paid the practice for as it wasn’t covered by my insurance. I did ask for the dental procedure xray etc. to be done whilst he was under anaesthetic in Sept 2022 but was told no as it was a different procedure yet during that procedure, they extracted 2-3 teeth! I don’t understand why anyone would be willing to put him through it again within only weeks of him having it for the fact is he is a tiny dog, under 3kg in weight. I can only surmise it is for financial gain and not worry about the risk to his health.

We have had nothing but excellent service from The Vet in Southampton. Our dog has had 3 operations there now and the attention has been first class. Her 2 nd cruciate ligament operation went far better than her first which was carried out by a so called specialist in Winchester. Nothing but praise for sll the staff.👍👍👍😃😃😃
