Just what I've been looking for
Time4Writing is just what I've been looking for: A professional quality writing class with a real live teacher who motivates my high school student to write and gives him immediate feedback and an actual grade.
It's easy to find all the available courses. All the basics are there, from grammar to research papers. I'm able to choose any level based on what I think my student needs.
My son was assigned Mrs. Doss, who was his teacher throughout the course. She gave him lots of positive feedback and useful critique. Whatever she counted off for, she explained, and gave him a link for further reading. He was also able to email her directly and ask questions.
Other things I like about Time4Writing are the reasonable cost, the ability to buy extra time if needed- (the first extra week is free), and the flexible schedule that allows the student to pace himself.
I highly recommend the writing courses on Time4writing.com.

I am appalled by the way you craftily take parents money and squeeze children into a time constraint learning experience. You do not accommodate, except for cash. Our children are not merchandize. Your business is unfortunately not a school but a club. Please refund back my money?

If you are within the fourteen day MBG, we will be happy to issue a refund, otherwise we can help you determine a schedule to get your student through the course. Time4Writing is on a winter break right now, so they cannot actually look into your student's progress until after Jan 4, 2021. All enrolled students have received pro-rated extensions to make up for the holiday closure.
It is simple and easy to choose.

The courses are designed to teach some of the grammatical and mechanical basics of English writing, as well as organizational skills for paragraph and essay writing. My 4th grader started with Time4writing with Elementary Paragraphs with Mrs. Rush. I thought the course was useful, and the feedback was positively constructive. I would have preferred more assignments during the 8 week course, but that is how the course is structured.

Thanks so much for the feedback. We actually encourage students to open the next assignment and begin thinking about it while waiting for grades. Submissions are closed until the previous grade opens so that students are able to apply any feedback from previous assignment into the new. We don't want students to continue making the same mistakes; frequently if they apply the feedback from the previous assignment, students can eliminate the need for further revisions.

My 8th grade son struggles with organizing his thoughts (he has amazing ideas, but they look like a tornado hit them). Well, he just completed "Middle School Paragraphs" and WOW! His paragraphs are more organized and he doesn't hate it as much! Thanks

Great Homeschooling resource during Covid-19
Great set of courses that teach various levels of writing fundamentals depending on where your child is at. Both my 7th grader and 10th grader are doing the courses as part of their homeschool. They both do them diligently, but the assignments sometimes take a little bit of extra time for the teachers to mark, which is required before the student can move on, so luckily there is the free 7day extension, otherwise it seems like the courses are not easily completed within the 8weeks. Overall I strongly recommend Time4Writing and both my kids are moving on to the next course.

There is a 23-24 business hour turn-around time, so I like to encourage students to try to log in every day (Monday through Friday) at about the same time each day. If they submit everything up to the next written assignment each time they log in, most of the courses can be completed in 6-7 weeks. Most of our courses begin with the basics in the form of a review or introductory assignment, so they do seem easy at first. We encourage you to try to complete the first two units within the first fourteen days and ask the teacher to let you know if this course is the right one for your student. Once she has had a chance to review your student's work, the instructor may recommend a different course; we do allow one transfer within the first fourteen days. Very nice program.
This program is one of the best things I've done. I fell like a heavy burden has been lifted. Plus, for some reason a real teacher's comments are more impactful than mine.
Also, in the short time I've used it I can see my sons confidence increasing. His scores make him feel good about himself. Well worth the investment.

My recent experience with Time4Writing
My experience with Time4Writing has been excellent. I have enrolled my two daughters in the High School Mechanics course that helped incredibly to improve their orthography and grammar. Everything that was promised before the start of the courses, was done. I really don't have any downsides to mention, and I already enrolled my girls again for the High School Paragraph Writing courses. I highly recommend this website. Many thanks to the teachers for their amazing job.
