Ineffective, waste of money
I enrolled my son in four time4writing courses. He is a highly motivated student and dedicated significant time and effort to completing each course.
I have not noticed any improvements in his writing. Before signing up for a fourth course, I emailed his teachers from the four courses with some very basic questions. I received a reply from t4w customer service stating that my son “didn’t bother” to do his work and implying that he lacked the motivation needed to get any benefit from the courses he had taken. A grossly inaccurate and offensive response that proved T4W has zero concern for my child, and zero desire to keep our family as customers.
The program is not effective. Customer service does not care to respond to even basic questions with helpful, insightful input, and there are much better options out there, especially in the Covid-19 era.
I will be looking for other programs, I would recommend you avoid this program unless you have money to waste.

The course could actually teach…
The course could actually teach something instead of just having them read a lesson. The way this is set up you don't even need a teacher. It could be graded automatically. Not sure why it costs so much.

Hi Sarah, Teachers provide feedback on the written assignments; if a student would have gotten less than an 80% on their first attempt, the teacher will typically give feedback that will will help the student to get a better grade, and then ask for a revision. There are several resources at the top of the course, above Unit One which will help with navigation. The one that shows where to view teacher feedback and how to make revisions is called How to Resubmit an Assignment. In order to provide the most comprehensive and detailed instruction, we break down each aspect of the writing process so that students can truly grasp the various concepts. For example, the mechanics courses deal exclusively with grammar and mechanics, as these are the foundation for the more advanced courses. Paragraph and essay courses expect that a student will already have good strong mechanics; this allows them to concentrate on organizational skills , which will enable them to better communicate their ideas.

Unable to access the writing course I…
Unable to access the writing course I purchased. Unable to enroll my student. Continuing to work with Time4Writing to try and get my student up and running. If problems continue will most likely request a refund. Not a seamless process so far. Will review again if problem is resolved in a timely process.

Poor program
This program was a waste of money. My daughter was unable to submit assignments most days. She was blocked by a screen that says she was waiting for feedback. The teacher's feedback told her she had many mistakes and submit again with no offer of help to identify problems leading to all the mistakes. Teacher suggested she was not following instructions but she was having a hard time navigating the system. She got sad and discouraged. We came to the program because she needed help to learn how to write sentences. Time4writing was not helpful.
The layout is also poor with tiny fonts hard to read.

If you are within the first 14 days, we can often suggest a different course that may be more suitable to your student's needs.

Hi Kazuo, Most families appreciate the quick turnaround time; Time4Writing guarantees a 23 to 24 business hour turnaround time, which is faster even than many brick and mortar schools. Once a submission is made, we encourage students to move forward with any lessons and quizzes. Written assignments cannot be submitted until previous written assignments are graded so that students do not continue making the same mistakes. Once they have learned a new concept, it is important that they use it. If students try to finish the entire course making same mistakes, they do not retain any of what they have learned. We hope your student is learning new writing skills that will be useful throughout his or her life!

I am so impressed with T4W
I am so impressed with T4W. I tried it out last school yr and my son, who is dyslexic, loved it and did really well. He was able to catch up to his middle school grade level to be on track this yr. I am so amazed at how well the teachers worked with him and explained things so he could process them and in return answer the questions in a fashion that he was never able to do before. We are going to do this for a second yr and see how it goes where the work get a little harder. Thank you T4W we love you!
