Our tour guides were very professional yet personable and very knowledgeable and full of good and interesting information. Everything went as scheduled and all the details of the tours were just as expected! We truly enjoyed our time with each of our 3 tour guides and driver.

Tom planned multiple fun tours for our family in both The Netherlands and Belgium, as well as helping with transportation and hotel recommendations. There was great communication for each tour and we had a fantastic time! Jackie was our guide for several of the tours - and she was awesome! She really went out of her way to make the whole experience fun for our teen daughters.

Tom and his staff were very timely, knowledgeable, and friendly. We booked 5 different tours through Tom and all were equally enjoyable. I love working with small personable companies.

On behalf of my family, I want to thank Tom and Jeroen for an amazing all day tour. Everyone on the tour (there were 6 of us) enjoyed all the stops. The kids really loved the windmills and stops at the cheese, clog manufacturing, and Marken were equally great. Lastly, we really appreciate Jeroen for all his research on our ancestors from Akersloot and the stops he created to visit the town, church and homestead. What Jeroen provided was a lifetime experience for all to us...Thank you!

Toms Travel Tours aims to please their guests. Three couples travelling together suggested our interests of touring the Dutch Countryside, and Tom put together an itinerary for us and toured us around. He is a wealth of information, we learned and saw alot in the time we designated for him. He is also very punctual in returning emails, picking us up at destination and keeping the tour ontime and running smoothly! Many thanks for sharing this day with us....

We booked three tours from Amsterdam: 3 hour walking tour Jordaan/Amsterdam, Guided visit to the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum, Royal tour Delft and Hague; one tour from Gent: Elegant Ghent Tour; and one tour from Bruges: Charming Bruges. All were excellent. In particular, our Amsterdam guide, Joyce, had excellent in-depth knowledge that was particularly useful in the museums we visited with her: the Van Gogh museum, Rijksmuseum, and the Mauritshuis; and in the Royal Delft museum in the Royal Delft factory. She was able to go beyond what was written on the displays and give further context and meaning, as well as identifying optimum ways of navigating throught these sometimes crowded museums. Mieke in Gent was obviously well-known there: people kept on stopping and talking with her. And Hendrickx was very useful in Bruges.

Tom picked me up at my hotel for a countryside trip that was a delight. I’m a farm kid from California’s Central Valley, an agricultural area with many rivers and canals. He found the last tulip field standing and we chatted with the farmer; at the Beemster Cheese factory we talked cows with an employee; the inner workings of a windmill were a fascinating look at an advanced water-moving device designed in the 17th century. In short, it was everything I wanted in a 5-hour tour. The Dutch countryside is lovely, and Tom helped me enjoy and understand it. Couldn’t recommend his company more highly-plus, he takes photos of you enjoying the sights and shares them.

I just wanted to thank Tom for all his help in setting up an awesome itinerary for my wife and I. We did not know what to expect and were absolutely delighted. The special tours to the two art museums, highlighted by getting us tickets to the Vermeer exhibit, made the trip. A few comments-

Stan did a nice job with our short walking tour of the central area of Amsterdam. He shared the amazing history with us.

The canal cruise with Capt. Brian on the Elisabeth was perfect. He was great and the boat absolutely beautiful. Way better than cruising on one of those large boats. We deeply enjoyed it.

Timm was awesome. We had her for two days, day 1 for tulips and windmills, Day 2 the Hague. Anything she could do to accommodate us she did and she was very informative. We really enjoyed our time with her , especially our walking tour in the Hague. She grew up there and really knows it. She is top notch.

I don’t think Tom could have created a better itinerary for us and he did so last second. I strongly recommend Tom's services to anyone who is going to the area. We did not know what to expect from our three days in the Netherlands and my wife and I agreed because of using Tom's services, it far surpassed our expectations and was ideal.

Tom was helpful, accommodating, informative, and entertaining. We toured Keukenhof Gardens with him and he went our of his way to to make sure we had a wonderful day. A professional photographer, he took many lovely photos of our family that he generously shared with us. Tom provided a wonderful tour.

Amazing! At somewhat last minute, my husband and I decided to visit Amsterdam for a quick weekend. I tried to book tours on my own, but failed miserably - Anne Frank House was fully booked and I wasn’t sure how to plan or navigate with what little time we had. So glad I found Tom and his tour company. Everyone - from his drivers (thank you, Sally) to his incredible guides - Jeroen, Chris & Alex - were fantastic! Smart, kind, funny, professional, knowledgeable, flexible … I could go on and on! Tom seamlessly handled our “drama” - 5 hour plane delay, missed Anne Frank House tour, which Tom miraculously was able to rebook for us the next morning. (This was the one thing my husband really wanted to get to see!). Tom put together the perfect itinerary for us - from walking through old city, Keukenhof, windmills, museums, canal boat tour, etc. And, don’t forget to ask Tom for restaurant recommendations! Our dinners were fantastic (Daalder Atelier and Seafoodbar). It was truly the perfect weekend!!!

My husband and I were with an alumni group who traveled through Netherlands and Belgium in April 2022 organized by Tom's Tours. All of the guides were fabulous, efficient, helpful, polite and fun. The accommodations in the various towns were extremely attractive and comfortable. Tom arranged a gourmet lunch in a field of tulips.... lovely. After three weeks of touring, we felt refreshed and enlightened. We would highly recommend Tom's Tours for your next adventure.

Our group of 26 classmates and spouses just concluded a fantastic 19 day trip organized by Tom. Every detail was perfect; every guide excellent; every custom experience executed flawlessly. He exceeded our expectations and there was not a single glitch. His choices of guides, hotels, restaurants and "extras" were wonderful. I can't imagine a better tour operator, particularly for a complicated custom tour for a large or small group.

I contacted Tom's Travel Tours almost a year before we travelled to Amsterdam. I always had quick and informative replies. I was requesting to travel to the war cemetary in Bergen Op Zoom. Tom arranged this and a gave suggestions of other tours we could do. We chose a walking tour as well. Our guide, Jackie was wonderful! She was very knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. She helped me locate my uncle's grave in the cemetary and looked up some info on the battle he was in. She showed us other parts of the cemetary that I wouldn't know was there. She also took us to Camp Vught, a concentration camp we requested to see. My son had a slight injury and she made sure he was comfortable and the walking wasn't too hard on him. We did a walking tour with her the next day and she showed us things we wouldn't have found on our own. Some very nice courtyards etc.
I would highly recommend Tom's Travel Tours. Very experienced and wonderful to deal with. I hope to return to Amsterdam one day and will contact Tom when I do!

We had the best time with Tom, who looked after all our family to make sure the kids were happy and had the best experience. It was an absolute highlight of our trip not only to Amsterdam but also Europe! Highly recommended especially for families!

Our half day tour with Tom was an ideal way to see Amsterdam. Tom’s local and historic knowledge was just what we were looking for as we wandered around the sights of Amsterdam. We saw many of the main attractions but also lots of the less traveled routes and the pretty neighbourhoods not far from the centre of town. Toms English was excellent and we thought the addition of Tom taking photographs for us was fantastic. A great guy and a great tour.

We did three tours with Tom's Travel Tours. Rijks Muesum, Moco Muesum for the Banksy exhibition and a bicycle tour of North Amsterdam. I could not recommend Tom more highly. He put together the tours at short notice and the service and attention was perfect. We were a family of 4 with 11 and 12 year old children. Museums were great especially the Moco but the highlight was the bicycle tour which Tom himself guided. The kids loved it. The pace was perfect. The route was varied and interesting at every step. Tom even took photos which he sent on afterwards - truly memorable day. This is a really personal service - informative, relaxed and the perfect way to see Amsterdam. We wanted a private tour for our family trip to Amsterdam in late August. We found Toms Travel Tour, and decided to do a walking tour and countryside tour. What a great decision that was. The walking tour was very informative yet entertaining for my kids. Tom took the time to learn what the group enjoys and gear the tour towards that. My mother loves flowers and my kids love animals. Tulips were not in season, but we enjoyed the gardens on quaint side streets. We also went to a community farm where the kids were able to pet goats and roam with the other farm animals. It was the highlight of their trip. The trip to the country side was spectacular. Tom took us to places that weren’t packed with tourist which makes it more relaxing for us. I especially love learning about the windmill and being able to see inside it. We were one of the 2 families visiting this place at the time so no lines to get up and down. Tom is also a photographer for travel magazines. He took pictures for us during the whole trip and sent it to us. A very nice added bonus that we weren’t expecting.

Exceptional day. I booked a private tour with Tom, with my family July 2019 in Amsterdam. We ended up riding for 7 hours at our request, and had a great time. So smooth, so easy to spend a day with Tom, and the photos were fantastic. I travel a lot, I bike a lot, and I have no critiques. I highly recommend. He is a pro and is a thoughtful tour leader.
