Thank you so much to Tour Tribe for arranging such an amazing trip to Albania. Everything was perfectly organised; from punctual schedules to a fantastic tour guide. The itinerary was seamless, and every detail was thoughtfully planned. I really enjoyed the experience, especially being part of a small, well-balanced group. Thanks again!

I had a lovely time

I had a lovely time with Tour Tribe. I always get nervous travelling alone but this is a caring team and I did not feel alone at all. In fact, I made several good friends. My room mate was a wonderful woman and the transfer guide, Omar was amazing as he was standing immediately at the exit and helped me get a SIM and to exchange money.

The cars we had, the trips we did and especially the food - everything was top quality. I really enjoyed the food. They choose the restaurants very well and don't cut corners. I felt part of a family and look forward to more trips..highly recommend Tour Tribe. Really good for single people like me especially.

Fab people to travel with

Just a quick one to say really impressed with these guys. Very helpful, great guides, great hotels, fab communication and food was delicious. The whole group had an amazing time but the highlight for Jordan has to be the jeep safari and desert stay. Can’t wait for the China halal tour in September. Thanks Ghazala

Do not compromise your Salah going with Tour Tribe - They do not respect prayer times

Where do l even begin with this one?! Tour Tribe certainly lack experience & skills required to run a travel company. All the reviews by the fellow travellers that visited Egypt in Jan 2026 were honest about everything encountered as l had witnessed the same shambolic experience first hand. Tour Tribe can deflect as much as they like, but how many from the 9 ladies that travelled on this tour would go with them again, no more than 1. That is telling in itself.

We categorically deny the allegation that guests were prevented from observing prayer during this tour.

Tour Tribe curates adventure travel experiences focused on Muslim travellers. We do not travel with an imam to lead prayers; however, we facilitate prayer opportunities throughout the day where requested and reasonably practicable.

Each morning, adequate time was available before departure for guests to perform Fajr privately in their hotel rooms.

In the evenings, we returned to the hotel in time for guests to perform Maghrib & Isha privately in their hotel rooms.

During daytime travel, Zuhr and Asr could be combined in accordance with travel allowances. The itinerary included lunch breaks, rest stops, and on part of the tour, mosque visits. Guests were free to pray in any of these locations if they wished.

Only on one occasion at the Aga Khan Mosque did four members of the group chose to perform prayer. On other mosque visits and during scheduled breaks, guests were free to pray but elected not to do so.

At no stage did any guest request a dedicated stop for prayer that was refused.

Egypt provides widespread access to prayer facilities, and there were no barriers to any guest wishing to observe their prayers.

No formal complaint regarding restriction of prayer was raised during or after the tour.

We are concerned by the emergence of similar factually inconsistent claims following this departure and reserve our position in respect of statements that are demonstrably untrue and harmful to our business.

I would not recommend Tour Tribe Ltd

I would not recommend Tour Tribe Ltd. Found it to be disorganised, mismanaged and unprofessional. V stressful experiences with them.
I first travelled with them to the Maldives opening tour. Very poor standard of accommodation, inadequate food (not enough for everyone) & poor quality of food. Numerous complaints to sort it out. 2 ladies left immediately to an alternative accommodation (1 for dietary & 1 for accommodation). I am Diabetic and requested no carb diet, specifically, I do not eat rice, pasta, potatoes or white bread. But Nothing alternative was provided!!!
It came as a shock to Ghazala that the group would be split across 2 guesthouses. Some would have to walk 10mins from their site for meals. Eating & relaxation facility was a concrete yard. My room stank of drains & had to be changed. A very long walk to the Halal beach contrary to the info given (only a few mins from guesthouse). Beach Turned out to be rocky. No facilities in comparison to the non-halal sandy beach with state of art facilities. I found Tour Tribes promotional material using words such as Muslim, halal and sisters as an emotional blackmail. Expecting us to put up with poor & substandards as "We are all Muslim sisters in this together " quote. Its also expected that you should help and look after each other in their needs. I found that out at my expense. Abuse and bullying by a fellow Muslim. Even if you want some space and quality time on your own. I am all for supporting Muslim businesses but will not be taken for a ride.
I gave Ghazala constructive feedback in private & also offered to help her. Stipulating that we were professional and discerning women and she needs to significantly improve her services.
Prior to leaving for Maldives, I had paid deposit for the Egypt Tour. Without informing us she changed the date!!!!. Because she wanted to go to a wedding. How UNPROFESSIONAL! It caused us a lot of unnecessary stress and inconvenience. Having to reschedule our existing commitments.

The Egypt Tour was advertised as VIP & curated. Ghazala knew very well that it had not been curated as she was going to do it at our expense.
Evidently wrong info was also given about the Abu Simbel timings and the luxury train. According to her it was 4hr trip, when in reality it was 8hrs trip there and back. We asked to fly, to give us much needed rest. Again cheapest mode of transportation was used. Lots of issues with WiFi and refreshments on coaches.
Further wrong/misleading Info given about the train. Ghazala had posted a video, presenting it as the train we would be travelling on. Again I raised concerns about wrong info. What we were going to get was a tin can on wheels. You could actually see the tracks through the toilet pan! Again we should have flown and not wasted valuable rest and site visiting times. Consequently we missed the Nubian village & felucca ride. Ghazala repeatedly changed itinerary to suit her personal preferences. Showing no regard for the stated itinerary. Her time keeping was appalling poor throughout the trip. Total disrespect for her paying customers.
Ghazala has no regards to dietary requirements for others or herself. She is also diabetic. I told her that I carry relevant/necessary food whilst travelling. So as not to create a medical situation or even inconvenient fellow travellers with sugar level concerns. She thought it was a good idea but never planned/organised herself. Consequently, she was the only one requiring a pit stop as her sugar levels were dropping!!!
We did get VIP treatment on the return journey - a full day visiting sites in dusty Luxor, followed by an overnight train & then taken directly to GEM museum & then to the airport. NO SHOWER FOR 2 DAYS. That's Tour Tribes definition of deluxe service!!!
There's a pattern emerging here with Tour Tribe - the cheapest accommodation & the worst service.
It was the historical sites that saved the day & its not because of Tour Tribe, the sites have been there for thousands of years and readily accessible by others.
I acknowledge that the guides were good.

Maldives clarification
• Accommodation – The stay at Alisara Guest House (9.1 rating: Booking.com) was communicated to all participants before travel, including photos and links. The itinerary (https://tourtribe.co.uk/booking/maldives-christmas-escape-2/) explicitly described a local three-star guesthouse experience rather than a resort stay. The accommodation delivered matched what was presented, and photos and videos from the tour publicly reflect the property.
• Dietary arrangements – Meals were organised with local hosts on a remote island where supply is naturally limited. Fish, eggs, salads and other options suitable for diabetics were provided daily. When group concerns were raised, catering was adjusted promptly and resolved during the tour. Photographic evidence reflects the food provided.
• Location and access – Guests were informed in advance that the guesthouse was approximately an eight-minute walk from the beach. Optional golf buggy transport was arranged and available throughout the stay. Photos and videos show beach access and conditions.
• Facilities and environment – Public beach facilities and island infrastructure are determined locally and outside operator control. Tour media accurately reflects the beach quality and the variety of multiple stunning beaches on Thoddoo Island, majority of which were sandy beaches.

• Scheduling – Tour dates and itinerary logistics were communicated in advance, and participation decisions were made with full awareness of the structure. You were given a full refund after tour dates were changed but you chose to join the trip last minute. Communication records are retained.
• Transport realities – Journey times, traffic conditions and optional excursions reflect local operating conditions that cannot be guaranteed or controlled. Tour footage reflects the travel environment encountered.
• Accommodation and upgrades – Transport and cruise arrangements were secured within supplier availability. Where limitations arose, upgrades were provided to maintain tour standards. Visual documentation reflects the accommodation delivered.
• Facilities and itinerary flow – Overnight transport and access to facilities followed the published itinerary. Photos and videos reflect the sequence and conditions experienced.
- Shower - showers were available in the cruise in the morning before check out, that night there was a sleeper train and the next day there was the GEM museum visit (requested by the group and accommodated last minute) and then flight home. The train was in the itinerary and you have signed that you read and agreed to the itinerary and the terms and conditions.

We categorically reject the allegation that religion was used inappropriately, coercively, or as justification for decisions. Our tours are organised professionally and participation in any faith-related activity is entirely voluntary. Religion is respected as a shared cultural context, never used as leverage or pressure under any circumstances.

We also consider personal commentary regarding private health or unrelated matters to be inappropriate and not relevant to the delivery of the tours. Such issues are personal and do not reflect how the tours were organised or conducted.

We do not accept claims of misrepresentation or neglect. Both tours were delivered in line with the information provided and the practical realities of each destination. Photos and video documentation accurately reflect the accommodation, activities and overall experience. Our priority remains delivering transparent, well-organised tours, and we stand by the information provided above.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I would not recommend this travel company and would not travel with them again.

The itinerary was poorly designed and appeared to prioritise cost-cutting over a meaningful cultural experience. Several scheduled stops were free sites, while key attractions such as the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) were excluded from the core itinerary. Following insistence to include GEM in the itinerary, we were required to pay $68 each to attend (initially quoted at $50), which supposedly included transport — despite transport already being booked for that day.

The sleeper train was misrepresented. Ghazala shared a video of a cabin and, on her itinerary, described it as a “berth cabin,” neither of which reflected reality. The sleeper train appeared to have been chosen to avoid the cost of hotel accommodation.

On the return journey, after a full day in dusty Luxor followed by a 12-hour overnight train, we were taken directly to GEM and then to the airport, with no opportunity to shower or freshen up. This falls far short of any reasonable definition of a deluxe or premium service.

During the trip to Abu Simbel, the bus provided was significantly less comfortable than expected. There was a stray nail under my seat, which caused a cut to my leg. There was no first aid kit available on the bus. Later that afternoon, Ghazala did bring me antiseptic from the boat reception, which I appreciated, but this situation should never have occurred.

The itinerary was repeatedly changed to suit Ghazala’s personal preferences, often at the expense of the group. She pushed for a night visit to the Nubian Village, despite it needing to be visited during the day to be worthwhile, which the local guide confirmed. After a group vote to drive past one of the shrines (which Ghazala confirmed in the WhatsApp group), she entered it at the last minute anyway, leaving the rest of the group waiting. Conversely, she showed no regard for the itinerary when it came to the felucca boat ride, which we ultimately missed.

Train times and journey lengths were misrepresented, directly resulting in the missed felucca ride and Nubian Village trips. Promised unlimited Wi-Fi, soft drinks, and hot drinks were also not provided. Ghazala’s timekeeping was consistently poor throughout the trip.

This tour was marketed as an opening tour offering a premium, VIP, curated experience, which we did not receive. An opening tour should not be at the customer’s expense.

Overall, the experience did not match what was advertised, and I would not recommend this company. The ladies in the group made this experience tolerable.

The itinerary was shared in advance, including which attractions were core inclusions and which were optional excursions. Visits such as Abu Simbel were intentionally optional, as not all travellers wish to participate in this early morning activity. The Grand Egyptian Museum visit was added following group request, and the associated cost reflected entry fees and local arrangements. Transport on that day was coordinated to accommodate the revised schedule.

The sleeper train experience — including accommodation format — was communicated prior to travel. Overnight rail journeys in Egypt differ from hotel accommodation and are chosen by many travellers specifically for the experience. Facilities are consistent with regional standards and expectations were outlined beforehand. Due to late deposits from some travellers, we were unable to secure the newer outbound train carriages as originally intended. To address this, we upgraded the cruise component from 5-star to 5-star deluxe at our own cost to maintain the overall quality of the tour.

The final day schedule followed the agreed itinerary, which included overnight rail travel and direct onward sightseeing before airport transfer. While hotel-style shower facilities are not available during rail travel, this structure was known to participants and was designed to maximise sightseeing time.

Regarding the Abu Simbel transport, we take safety matters seriously. We were not made aware of any ongoing hazard at the time, but we are pleased assistance was provided promptly once the issue was raised. We continuously review partner standards to ensure traveller safety.

Group itineraries sometimes evolve based on timing, site conditions and collective decisions. Because the Grand Egyptian Museum visit was incorporated at group request, the final day lost the scheduling flexibility that would otherwise have allowed the felucca ride and Nubian village visit to be completed. Adjustments are made with the intention of balancing safety, logistics and the overall group experience.

Connectivity and onboard amenities can vary depending on local infrastructure and transport providers. While we strive to meet expectations, these elements are subject to regional limitations.

This tour was offered as an opening experience at a reduced rate, with travellers informed that refinements may occur as operations are optimised. Our intention is always to deliver a well-organised, culturally meaningful journey in partnership with licensed local providers.

I have just returned from the Egypt…

I have just returned from the Egypt tour promoted by Tour Tribe as ‘a journey of a lifetime’ ‘premium, Cairo & Nile trip’, ‘not DIY, Curated & VIP experience…’
I am afraid the tour was far from premium, it was poorly organised, the hotel in Cairo although described as 4* was substandard & old, the sleeper train on way to Aswan was appalling & disgusting with very poor WC facilities. It was a 15 hours journey, leading to the group missing key parts of the tour that was promised, such as the Nubiun Village & Felucca boat.
Throughout the trip there was poor time keeping, Ghazala showed no leadership skills, kept hiding behind the tour guides/third parties. Our contract was with her not any third parties.
Many times she kept defending the poor service by saying it was a ‘pilot/opening tour’.
This is not acceptable.
Tour Tribe charged premium rates for a substandard service. Tour Tribe was cutting cost at every opportunity.
Tour Tribe only paid for the cheaper excursions or took to free places like the masjid. Any excursion which was over £15 had to be paid for separately. Key sites which Egypt is renowned for such as Abu Simbel Temple, Grand Egyptian Museum were not included.
There was no hotel on the last two days of the tour as Tour Tribe wanted to cut cost by saving on hotel expenses, which meant no shower/washroom for 48 hours for the group members.
The only thing that made this trip bearable were the fellow travellers, the tour guides, the cruise & the ancient history of Egypt.
I have travelled with many muslim groups before & always support muslim businesses but I will not be using Tour Tribe again. I did not get what I paid for.

This Egypt trip was offered as an opening tour at a reduced rate, with travellers informed in advance that, while carefully planned, minor operational adjustments can occur. We continue refining our processes based on real-world experience.

The Cairo accommodation — Triumph Plaza Hotel — was clearly named in advance so travellers could make informed decisions. We also hold photographic records confirming that the hotel met the locally rated 4-star standard described. International hotel classifications vary by country, and expectations can differ accordingly.

Regarding the sleeper train, due to last-minute deposits and booking timing from some members of the group, we did not receive the newer carriage originally expected for the outbound journey. The updated carriage was provided on the return leg. We further addressed the situation during the tour by upgrading the cruise component to a higher standard. Facilities were consistent with what is typical for overnight rail travel in the region and were understood beforehand.

The itinerary — including optional excursions such as Abu Simbel — was clearly outlined prior to booking. During the tour, the Grand Egyptian Museum visit was added at the group’s request. Incorporating this additional activity meant the final schedule was no longer a relatively flexible day. As a result, the time window required to complete the Nubian village visit and felucca ride was no longer available within safe logistical limits.

Visits to mosques were concentrated largely within one day of the Cairo programme. The remainder of the itinerary focused on guided Egyptian historical sightseeing, cruise activities and cultural experiences.

The final days followed the agreed itinerary, with shower facilities available during the cruise. Overnight rail travel does not include hotel-style amenities, which was understood at the time of booking.

We respectfully disagree with the suggestion that standards were intentionally reduced. The tour was delivered through licensed local partners, experienced guides and curated logistics, and we maintain full documentation of what was communicated in advance.

I travelled with Tour Tribe as a first-time solo traveller and relied on their guidance when booking my flight because I didn’t know how to do it myself. Unfortunately, the baggage allowance was not clearly explained, and I only realised shortly before travel that the booking was hand-baggage only with lower airline limits, which resulted in additional unavoidable costs at the airport.

While the trip itself ran, the lack of clear communication around practical details for someone inexperienced was disappointing, and when I raised this afterwards, it was not addressed.

This company may work well for confident and experienced travellers who book flights independently, but if you are a first-time traveller or need assistance with travel planning, be absolutely sure every detail is confirmed in writing before you pay.
