This was my first visit to Townhouse, and I couldn’t be more impressed.

I had a mani-pedi with Michaela and Zaina, and they were both absolutely wonderful. Such friendly, professional, and incredibly skilled individuals! They made the whole experience so relaxing with great conversation and attention to detail.

The salon itself is stunning. It is beautifully designed, spotless, and with such a calm, welcoming atmosphere. Everything about the visit felt thoughtful and high-quality.

I genuinely had the best experience and would highly recommend Michaela and Zaina to anyone looking for a little self-care treat! I will definitely be back!

I applied for a job on indeed and heard back relatively soon which is excellent and I was very excited. However when asked to call to talk more about experience after they had apparently tried to email me which I hadn't received at all they gave me times. I said I could call after 2.45pm on Tuesday and waited all day for it and no call whatsoever after being told I would get a call then so I emailed them back this morning asking if they were still interested and if they wanted to call and they said they can call today. After waiting all day yet again no call until I get an email saying I didnt get the job because it had been taken and the position wasn't available. This was un professional after waiting 2 days to hear back from Townhouse. Its rude and not fair to me. This is Chelmsford Townhouse so I wont be reccomending them or going for any treatments there or applying for any jobs there if this how there business wants to act.

I have been to Townhouse several times for a Luxury Gel Manicure at the St James salon. Been super happy until the last two times.

After one week of getting my manicure, the gel just started peeled off in sheets, taking layers of my natural nail with it. I was abroad on my hen-do and there was nothing I could do but deal with scabby looking nails and peeling gel polish that kept catching on my clothes and hair (tore one nail horribly).

The first time I put it down to a one-off and let it go. The second time, my nails were left brittle, thin and paper-like. I got the nails done April 4 and by April 10 they were peeling away. Again, it happened after only one week. This time I really hurt coming off.

When I raised the issue I was offered a credit towards a removal and reapplication, but given how my nails have deteriorated since the offer and that this had now happened twice I simply do not trust the salon to do a good job and declined. I have requested a refund (that’s two botched manicures at £64 a pop) but I only wanted asked to be refunded the last one, but they don’t do that apparently.

To make matters worse, I am one month away from my wedding and my nails are in a terrible state. I decided to cancel my bridal nail appointments for me and my friends at the Town House. I won’t be going back.

My nails really hurt and are just falling apart. I don’t know if it’s the product or application. It’s a shame because the ladies working there are super nice.

Hema was so lovely! She did my bridal nails and made them perfect!! She completely understood my vision and made my experience feel so special!!

As always the attention to detail was great! Staff are always so friendly and Kayla does a great job with my nails. Knowing exactly what treatments, shapes and colours I usually get. Thanks again! I’ll be back for my regular manicure.

Nai was wonderful from start to finish. She was so welcoming and helped my find the colour I was looking for. She was relaxing and made the experience amazing.

Amazing service! Wonderfully relaxing and informative throughout the whole process. Catherine and Cherrie were very gentle and a joy to chat to. The massage at the end was absolutely perfect. Will have to come back in the summer and try out the extra shiny chrome gels!
