Beautiful cottage in tranquil countryside, everything was perfect and our host was brilliant!

A lovely welcome from Debbie and Darren and a great lodge. It was equipped with everything you need for a holiday. A covered hot tub and separate games room stand out and this is a secure and safe location with only two lodges. Great for chilling!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was even nicer that it looked on the website. It was really close to Corfe Castle and many other must see sites. It was lovely to relax in the conservatory in the evening watching the sun set and the deer and hares in the fields at the back. Plus a steam railway at the end of the drive

Very easy to use, holiday cottage was as described. We had a nice time. Nothing negative to say. Would use company again.

Went on your holidaycottages.co.uk website to book a weekend for 2 adults and 2 kids in the Lake District. We were looking for a very basic cottage in a less touristy area (not Windermere, Ambleside etc), out of school holiday season. I could not believe the prices you are charging for a 2 night break!! A complete and utter joke; way more than your average family can afford. I don’t know how you get any guests at all.

Easy to book the holiday and paying was straightforward with a reminder when to pay the ballance. Castle and Cobbles was in a perfect location. The town of Richmond has plenty to offer with everything within walking distance of the cottage. A lovely base to explore North Yorkshire and beyond.

The weather and the location

We had a fabulous time in the Lodge, no shortage full equipped.
Down the road we could see Millenthread near Looe.

Beautiful immaculate lodge in a fantastic location. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Could not ask for more, even the welcome pack was delightful.

The property itself was brilliant, but that has been reviewed elsewhere. I found the interactions with holidaycottages.co.uk very easy, straightforward and informative. I did not encounter any issues so the entire booking process took place online with information received by email.

We all loved the cottage, the owner has thought of everything to make guests stay as comfortable as possible.
Everything in the cottage was great quality and all of the extras were very much appreciated.
The garden was nice especially as the weather was great, the beach was a five minutes walk away and there was a very nice pub across the road.
Great walks from the apartment and helpful information from the owner.
Only a five minute drive to Silloth or Maryport for supplies.
Our dog had a great time in the garden, on the beach and in the empty fields.
We cannot recommend this place highly enough.
Oh and the beds were super comfy as well.

The hut was just as fab as the pictures. The views were great and the nearby village had good facilities. Parking easy peasy and great security on site. The only slight downside was noisy work on another building nearby. Great welcome pack and the place lacked for nothing. A good stay location as a base for meeting friends near Totnes and a bit further afield in Tiverton area.

Have had several cottage holidays through the years, but this one was by far the very best. The wonderful location, furnishings, comfort, were truly the best. Would love to return...but it's a very long way to travel from Dorset! The visit to Powis Castle was amazing. What a beautiful location.

A lovely lodge in a great Village. Local pub great and very relaxed.

Booking was easy and when I had a couple of queries I was quickly connected to a person who answered my questions in a pleasant, friendly manner. The house was great and the owners were very helpful too. The whole experience was extremely positive.

The Old Stables in Braunton was small but perfectly appointed for our holiday. Everything was clean and tidy and we were greeted by Debbie on our arrival. The property is close to the main high street but far enough away to be quiet at night. I would highly recommend it!

Super holiday home, really comfortable and had everything we needed. Only downside was the sloping ceilings upstairs, you had to be careful getting out of bed and standing upright in the en suite but it was fine when you remembered!

This was our 3rd stay at the little forge and I hope it won't be our last. The hosts are really friendly and accommodating. The information we received about our booking was lst class it was easy to book and the updates and travel info was great 👍
