Really happy with my donation since I'm confident many new trees got planted because of my donation

Scam app. I finally got 25k points to get a pair of shoes. Which mind you took me three years to save up for it. But just before I reached the amount of points needed, they lowered the price of the voucher so the shoes were no longer free. Bad app!!

Great idea, unsatisfied outcome. Treecard feels useful, but I’m always skeptical about apps like these. I treated this as the “play for real money games” I think the app is just there so people can feel good about themselves and act like they can make a difference. And they probably could if there was more work out into it. There are many bugs that come up daily. My account got lost around a year ago and I had to restart. I was pissed but I eventually got back to my old progress. There was little to no help when I tried to get my account back. Also, when you order things, it’s very hard to track or get information on the package. I have ordered two things from Treecard and they arrived but I constantly thought I got scammed. Many other people didn’t have good outcomes with ordering packages either. The idea of planting trees in the world is great and is probably the reason I haven’t deleted the app yet but I’m not too sure I am making that much of a difference. Still a great idea, but unsustainable as of right now.

This is such a rip off!! I was scammed and now I can’t get a hold of anyone to get my money back for trees I did not order ! They ripped me off more than $500!

I’ve quite liked my experience so far.
I do like to hike and the numbers don’t match, but I don’t mind because at least it’s something? Feels cool to be able to walk to plant trees. Love that. I purchased a plant once and it came and it’s a cute little succ that’s been thriving.

Bad star reviews can kill a start up business! Come on guys!

Up until a week ago, treecard was only counting about 50% of my steps each day; they just decreased to only counting around 30% of my steps each day. I had submitted a bug report to them about this last year, and they replied months later acknowledging that they only count a small percent of users' steps and saying "there's no current fix" for that error.

They work hard to make you think that each virtual tree you earn (one per 10k steps) is an actual tree planted, and bury the info that you have to earn multiple virtual trees to plant just one real tree.

Overall, treecard feels very much like a scam and I'm glad I didn't sign up for their card at all, just tested their steps counting/tree planting. I'd caution against using their refurbished tech program given how many folks say they got actually scammed out of their items/reward points/money.

I’m not sure they even do what they say they’re doing. But I needed to cancel because I can’t afford it anymore. I am an avid hiker and my numbers do not match how many steps I have actually taken. So that was disappointing to see. Anyway, I go to close my account and then the entire app freezes. I close it down and try again and the app opens to a white screen. I try to contact them any way I can find and have no success. Then I contact my bank but they can’t help bc it’s an ACH withdrawal and not a debit card withdrawal so the only way I can cancel is buy getting a hold of them, which I’ve been unable to do. It’s frustrating. Then I finally got the app open and signed back in and it’s like I started all over from scratch. So I can’t tell if my account was closed or not. I never got an email saying it was. So nothing makes sense. I can’t even “cash” in on the steps I made because the app wiped all my info.

I was extremely excited over using the app and supporting ethically responsible companies. Unfortunately, this company is not overtly concerned a pit providing positive customer service. I placed an order for a money tree and a monsteria on February 19. I waited two weeks before I contacted their customers service and wad told that someone would get back to me. I was finally emailed on March 4th stating what my tracking number was and that USPS was the cause of the delay. Again I waited a week and didn't receive anything. I reported the problem to paypal and asked that they investigate. Finally on March 11 I was told that there was an issue with USPS and that my packaged would be arriving asap. I was notified on March 18 that my package was lost and that they would be shipping me another two plants. On March 19, the money tree plant arrived destroyed. The plant has fallen out of the pot and the roots were rotted. Again I contacted the company about this issue and the fact that I had not received the monsteria plant. I also stated that I would like a refund and that I would return any plants that I received. Their response was to send me a tracking number that stated that the plants are awaiting pick up (dated March 11). I have escalated the issue to paypal and hope that they can get me my refund that I clearly asked for. This has been nothing but a waste and a hassle. I thought I was doing something positive by supporting this company. I was wrong and will never support anyone but local plant nurseries.

This app does not work properly. Despite being synced to my Apple Health app, it fails to collect 30-50% of the steps I make in a day. Their customer service tells me to do all ok the things I’ve done already to make it function, but after weeks of problems, I start to wonder if any of their “engineers” are doing anything to fix it or if they actually even exist. I so happy I haven’t opted for any of their accounts & spending tracking options. The last year of negative reviews about folks being charged mysteriously or itemsnever sent or accounts being randomly & arbitrarily shut down.

Amazing idea that never happened. :( When a company makes big promises and doesn’t fulfill them 😓. i am honestly sad. i was on the waiting list for years hoping one day i could get the wooden credit card and work everyday to conserve nature. i don’t know if they sold the company or whatever but i just found out there’s never going to be a treecard now i don’t even know why its called that, i guess its like a fitness app now. But based on the reviews it doesn’t look like that’s working. Sad environmentalist wishing everything wasn’t always greenwashing. 2-stars because I was still inspired but just no follow thru.

I just checked my Child Support card. Somehow they got a hold of that number. They attempted to charge me 83.88!!! There’s NOTHING I’ve authorized for that much!

Scam! Horrible customer service. I purchased some clothes through the app. Next day I received notification that one piece won’t be shipped but I will get refund in no more than 7 days. After 10 days still no refund. I contacted them and they said thank you for the patience refund should be on my account in 5 days… Now it’s been 3 weeks and still nothing I contacted them again and now they are telling me to contact my bank because they refunded it 3 weeks ago which is BS. My bank told me that they never refunded anything.

Had a really bad experience with their product and team. Tried to claim my reward points that I was saving for almost a year and when I tried to, they removed the reward. When I asked if I could still claim it, I got zero response. Their reward center has worsened a lot since they started.

Scam. They were charging $15 a month in not twice a month to no knowledge of me or option to cancel. No one on their support team tried to help me

I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Treecard. I am incredibly sad to say so, as I felt really good about doing something so simple to help the planet, and was having a lot of fun with the rewards I could get for getting my points. As many here have said though, they closed my account, and when asked why, stated that they could not tell me. I had not even been very active using it the last month, and cannot think of a reason why they should have reason to cancel it. I was in the middle of a Succulent Box subscription, which has now been cut short as well. My recommendation is, if you do decide to proceed with getting a Treecard, wait a few months before reviewing to see if your account gets closed with no explanation, too.

This was advertised in UK social media, I originally signed up but my position in the waiting list never moved (169,148). I recently rejoined over a year later and the number hasn't moved. The website and app has little bugs that prevent then being navigated properly. And I think they are now/always were US focused, so even if the queue ever moved, I don't think I'd be eligible. But their app/site doesn't mention operating countries.

I have been using TreeCard for a couple of months now and am really impressed. First, I love the primary premise of the card (which is made of beautiful wood) to reverse the effects of deforestation by using merchant fees to plant trees every $50 you spend along with other activities like each time you walk 10k steps. But what makes it even better is that you earn points for every tree planted which can be redeemed at a 1 percent cash back rate for statement credit or other great rewards. Along with this is interesting gamification that let's you grow and harvest the trees for more points. The app even has a savings feature (pots) where you can get 0.5 percent all the way up to 3 percent interest on your saved funds if you meet a spending threshold each month. The Support is also fantastic and I appreciate that the app doesn't promote credit cards or other financial products and sticks with its purpose of promoting being good stewards of our environment. And another great feature is you can debit funds onto the card from other accounts instantly with a decent limit rather than having to wait days for the funds to transfer in.

The only quirks I have seen have been 1) It seems to be because it is a British bank and I live in the US, a handful of store's card readers or apps register the card as a prepaid card so you can't run it as a credit as you normally would be able to do for a debit card. 2) when you redeem rewards the rewards can take up to 30 business days (even for a statement credit) to arrive which seems unnecessary long. 3) This is common for debit cards without a checking account so not really a quirk for TreeCard but you can't have multiple users or cards on the same account which would be very nice to have.

But overall this is my go to card and I have had few issues that have always been resolved by Support. If you want a fantastic card that gets great cash back for a debit card, doesn't have fees or push loans, has great Support, and helps restore Creation look no further.

I have been using Treecard for almost a year at this point. It works great, I can cover all my everyday needs and even use it while I am traveling. The best part is that I have planted over 400 trees with them! Knowing that my spending helps our planet is a true game changer for me. Their app also looks great and has a ton of information about their tree-planting initiatives.
