Had missing items in my order tried to get help very unsuccessfully customer service is appalling now it seems I'm out off pocket I've spent alot of money with this company never complained once with previous orders that didn't have the amount of fish that I paid for but this order is the dearest one yet disgusting service

Placed an order in advance for delivery the following week (complying with the site’s requirements).
Received an email four days later to say part of the order wasn’t available and they’ll dispatch everything the following week (particularly annoying as an unexpected trip caused me to pass several good fish shops that morning).
I send three emails and a WhatsApp message requesting they send whatever parts of the order they could on the original date as it wasn’t possible to be at home the following week.
When they finally responded, they had missed the delivery window for the initial date and I could either accept the new date or cancel the order
As we were in the midst of a family emergency, I had to cancel the order and requested a full refund.
A few days later, whilst now away (and still dealing with the emergency) I see emails from a courier company about an attempted delivery and then another from Tropical Fish Co...
They had accidentally sent out the order and were now requesting that, as I’m not around, when the item is delivered, that I ask a neighbour to take the box in, put the fish in a tank or bucket of dechlorinated water with a heater over the weekend. When I return and I can either send them back the following Monday (the earliest courier availability) or I can keep them and they’ll (generously, in their opinion) give me a 25% discount!
Do your neighbours have a spare aquatic heater?
I saw this message the following morning (Fri) by which time the courier company attempted and failed to make the delivery and I could rearrange delivery for Monday. Concerned that the fish would then spend 4days in transit (and obviously not at 24c). I then spend 30 mins trying to contact the courier (without success) and a further hour driving towards their depot to see if I could collect them in person, before the weekend.
Fortunately, TropicalFishCo emailed (whilst only halfway to the depot) confirming the fish were being returned to them they would now issue the requested refund.
I fully appreciate that things can go wrong, but this was totally avoidable and plain irresponsible of them to let this package be sent out. Whilst this simple order turned into an incredibly stressful and frustrating waste of time for me, I’m sure it was worse for the livestock.
The offer of a 25% discount – I should be invoicing them for the inconvenience!
Was nervous about ordering livestock online and doubt I'll be risking it again.

Delivery was on time and the fish were excellent I shall definitely be using this company again 😄

I bought four round tailed paradise fish from Tropical Fish Co. A species hard to get hold of. Tropical Fish Co not only were able to supply them as detailed on their website, but the price was good and more importantly they arrived happy and healthy. No issues. I was kept informed of their arrival date. Will definitely buy from them again!

I cannot speak too highly about this company. Over theyears I have purchased fish from many companies but this is one of the best, thay make sure that the fish you purchase from them are in good health and deliver quickly to make sure that fish arrive in good condition, should you have any enquiries they are pleased to help.

I ordered 3 different fish from Tropical Fish Co, but only 2 arrived.

They then proceeded to ignore my Email and just refund the missing fish. This wouldn't have been an issue but they didn't refund the delivery charge, and they didn't communicate back to me, they simply ignored me and refunded the money for the fish.

If Tropical fish Co cannot get a simple order correct then i simply cannot trust them to get a much larger order correct.

i then went to Aquatics to Your Door and ordered a 37 fish order and was pleasantly surprised they managed to get the order completely correct and they delivered within 5 days.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH TROPICAL FISH CO!

there is always a better company.

Very poor packaging one bag had burst and had very little water in it fish were half dead only lasted two days in the tank. There was no sticker saying live fish just a sticker with fragile on it 🤷‍♂️

Fish arrived in exceptionally good health which is the main thing. Very good price too.

A fantastic shop where you can buy various species of fish online with home delivery. The fish are healthy, have vibrant colors, and are very well packed for the journey. I highly recommend shopping here; for me, the service, shipping, and fish descriptions are 100 out of 100.

Had a bit of a mess up with delivery probably more to do with courier.. but this issue has been quickly resolved with no problem and hopefully all works out this time.. but great service and great selection of fish... always a nightmare for me to get deliveries as im in northern ireland but they have been amazing!!

There is not fast answer in terms of order comuniction , and tge most disappointing fact is that the fish u received are not what u ordered. And yes tgey do specify on the website that pictures are AI based but still. Be aware they are selling not the right product. #1184

Never again will I be trying to order from these just going on there website all AI generated pictures
So slow to respond to any questions and then cancel my order coz the fish was not ready
I had to keep emailing them for updates
4 weeks later just got my refund

I had a very good experience with Tropical fish Uk, and very pleased with the service and customer communication.
I made a mistake on my order and had to cancel on last minute and change the fish. They were very helpful and helped me to solve my problem.
The only negative I need to mention is that delivery date was 5 days from my order. Although I know it is hard to dispatch live fish.
