When I enrolled
When I enrolled, the sales representative specifically told me that my upfront payment would cover a full year of service from May to May. Only after signing up did I learn that this was not the case and that I had actually paid for a much shorter “season”—approximately seven months, not the twelve months I was promised. This was misleading and does not reflect what was communicated at the time of sale.
Despite completing the service period, my lawn shows no noticeable improvement, and it looks no better than it did before TruGreen began treatments. When I called to cancel, I was informed that my service would automatically renew without any prior notice and that additional charges would begin. I never agreed to ongoing, automatic charges, nor was I informed they would occur.
During my cancellation call, the representative attempted to place blame on me for the lack of results, suggesting that I should have contacted TruGreen during the season. I disagree. As a paying customer, I should not have to monitor the quality of a service I already paid for. The expectation is that TruGreen performs the job correctly the first time, without requiring the customer to follow up to ensure it is done properly.
This experience has been frustrating, misleading, and far below the standard of service I was promised and expected.

Have zero improvement in yard condition after 2 years of the service, weeds everywhere, patchy or no growth. Always on the upsell, never coming through with any quality on the original work. Aerated lawn with no warning, cannot even tell it was done, when asking to be removed from "upsell list", yes it is a thing was removed from all communication so was unable to prepare for work done. Save your money, do it yourself or find a different group.
Paint it green
So, I called trugreen about the plan i purchased from them with some concern. my lawncare is not giving me the results that I expected. Would they send someone out to take a look at my lawn. In the conversation with, I guess it was a manager I was told that if i only wanted a green lawn I should have had it painted green. Mind you I have paid in full for the year.Needless to say I will not be up for renewal.

Totally worthless and untrustworthy company
Can't agree more with the reviews left by others here.. totally worthless service and untrustworthy! They don't stand up on their own word! The service agents hardly spend any time on the yard (barely 5-6 minutes) and obviously the weeds were not treated well! They did the same on both the times and I discontinued their service. They told me that I would receive a credit for the amount I prepaid and then two days after when I enquired, I was given a different figure.. looks like they are trying to mint as much money as they can and don't care about their customers! NEVER TRUST THEIR WORD!

The worst
This company is a joke. I was with them for 3 years and my lawn got worse. I canceled the service over the phone (a chore) and 2 weeks later received an automated call that the technician will be there TODAY in 2 hours to perform the service!! Ridiculous. Stay away!

The lack of service unacceptable
The lack of service and lack of response has been unacceptable. I purchased the year long package and thought it would save me a few bucks, but now that they have my money they are not coming out and not responding to any of my queries besides with a generic “we’ll send somebody” and then nothing. Seems like staffing is an issue; until they get this resolved highly recommend to stay away.
