Package left in unsecured location

Package was delivered, but dropped a distance from the house and mail box in an unsafe location near the roadside. When it was marked delivered I was confused because I couldn't find it, it was actually my regular postman from an-post, who drew my attention to it in the long grass near the gate of my house. Disappointed in the service, could have easily been lost or stolen, the least I'd expect is that it would be delivered safely to my door, rather than near the roadside for the drivers convenience.

Worst delivery company

Every time ups deliver there are problems, either find the adress or getting in building, but funny tracking number doesnt even show them being near the town. I have started not to order from companies that use ups, also customer service doesnt help there either.

This review concerns a failed delivery…

This review concerns a failed delivery due to an “address exception” that could not be resolved in time.

The delivery address provided was complete and included a valid Eircode. I received a notification from UPS stating there was an issue and immediately attempted to correct or confirm the address through their system. I also replied directly to their emails.

Despite acting promptly, the parcel was moved to return-to-sender without giving any realistic opportunity for the issue to be resolved.

The core problem is procedural:
– An address is flagged
– The customer is notified
– But the return process proceeds before any response can be actioned

This makes the correction process ineffective.

There needs to be a meaningful intervention window where customer updates are actually considered before a return is initiated.

As it stands, the system creates avoidable failed deliveries and unnecessary inconvenience.

I am extremely disappointed with the…

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by UPS in Ireland.

My valuable parcel was lost due to their fault. The last tracking update shows that it was scanned in Santry, Ireland, and after that it simply disappeared. The tracking status still shows that the parcel has not been delivered.

We opened a case to investigate the missing shipment, but after a week they closed it without providing any clear explanation. There was no real effort to resolve the issue — just a formal response.

What is most frustrating is that they refused to compensate for the lost parcel, even though it went missing while in their possession.

This level of service is unacceptable. A complete lack of responsibility, transparency, and customer care. I strongly do not recommend using their services.

Do I have to even touch one?

Do I have to even touch one?? It's a zero and many people hopefully may have experience a two but no, I paid 100 euro delivery charge and the company on the other side showed me the parcel was delivered and my side says it's in a warehouse awaiting a dispute from the receiver and in the receiver and heard nothing about it.
I cannot contact then it's always AI or chat bot etc and I don't know where I stand other than each day passes it costs me 250 for not fitting the part . Avoid this once reputable company at all cost absolutely awful and terrible service

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless. Paid for express shipping on 7th april, item was due for delivery on 9th. Never came and was returned to sender. Made sure that the company had the eircode which they had, they resent the item and ups tracking say they attempted delivery (cameras show they didn't). This was a week ago. No "reattempted" delivery and no tracking update in 3 days. Phoned and they said they can't do anything, file a claim. Went online to file a claim and it says can't be submitted. No other delivery company has issues with delivering to our address. UPS are a disgrace of a company.

Minus 10. Terrible service, website, app, and totally dyafunctional communication. Insisted that they had delivered a parcel which showed up more than a week later damaged. It took multiple attempted phone calls, emails, and involvement of the sender for them to even locate the damaged parcel, which they just showed up with. No acknowledgement or apology. Avoid.

If it was possible to give a negative…

If it was possible to give a negative star review I would. For 1 singular delivery (ir lack thereof) So far I have had to deal with:
1) Day 1 of fabricating a total lie that a delivery was attempted. Not only was I at home all day but I have a video recording Ring doorbell that easily proves no one even came near my home to deliver anything.
2) two days later, Day 2 of same fabrication with added "couldn't obtain customs fee payment. Well you can't obtain that payment if you only dream up your alleged attempts at delivery!
3) I continue chasing up my package only to discover that they are claiming to the retailer that they can't deliver unless I pay customs fee online or over phone. Problem with that is I have an email from UPS confirming I can pay cash on delivery. Understandably I am hesitant to pay any customs until I have the package! I am already out the cost of the order that I don't have.
4) After much time and energy wasted on my part emailing and phonecalls, they claim they will deliver on Tuesday28th April 2026 (the claims of attempted delivery are from the previous week). Because they won't give me an alloted time frame when they are going to deliver, I inform them I have had to reschedule an important appointment for that day in order to be home all day so they need to deliver and be true to their word.
5) at 3.40pm on 26th April I email UPS just to check that the driver is indeed going to deliver that day. As I have stayed in all day etc. I receive an email back advising me that my package is in fact not going to be delivered that day. Surprise surprise!!!!! Despite the fact I have an email from that morning stating that they handed my package to the driver, the new email states that didnt happen because my package is still in the depot.
It would appear I am supposed to spend the rest of my days in my home awaiting delivery of a package that will never come! This package contains 2 birthday presents for my husband so it is not only time sensitive but so disappointing that he won't have his gifts. Utterly horrendous company.
UPS tracking number is 1ZJ40Y81682 1885586. For all the good that is!!!!! I have of course lodged a complaint with the originating online site advising them to change their courier because they will lose business as a direct result of using UPS.

Lost package...

Really disappointed with this experience. My order is marked as “delivered” last Tuesday after being delayed and bounced between Finglas and Roscommon, but I never received anything. To make it worse, the delivery location is showing as “N/A,” so there’s no indication of where it was supposedly left.

Tried to follow it up, but it feels like UPS aren’t bothered dealing with a lost package and would rather just mark it as delivered and move on. No proper explanation, no accountability.

Would not recommend based on this experience.

Complete Service Failures and Poor Customer Support


I scheduled a parcel collection on the 22nd, receiving confirmation emails on both the 21st and 22nd. No one showed up. no call or explanation. The entire day was wasted waiting, despite having paid for the service.

On the morning of the 23rd, I called immediately to resolve the issue. I was working that day, so I had to rely on my partner to wait for the collection. I was given a new collection reference and guaranteed the parcel would be collected between 9am and 2pm. I made it very clear this timing was critical due to my partner working night shifts and needed to rest before a 12 hour shift starting at 8pm. I was reassured it would be handled.

No show again. So I called and they insisted if I just waited one more hour the driver will absolutely arrive. Despite needing the sleep my partner waited for that extra hour and no one came.

Bare in mind I ordered collection because I don’t live close to any UPS drop off point so after 3pm, I had no choice but to call again and reschedule for the 24th. I explained the entire situation in detail and was assured, once again, that there would be no issues and it would definitely be collected.

The 24th came. Once again, no one showed up. Shock.

I called the 24th to discuss the issue. despite paying for the original collection, no refund or compensation was given for a service that was never provided. Which I can only presume is an ongoing issue. The lady on the phone hung up mid conversation, I had to call back because she told me she’s sending someone out after the weekend. Waiting on the phone line for longer than usual coincidentally.. out of the multiple times I called before it was a very short wait time.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Missing the return deadline because of repeated no shows and empty promises. What should have been a simple collection has turned into days of disruption, and inconvenience.

Every update had to be chased, and every assurance came to nothing. I ended up doing the drive to drop off my parcel at an access point and even then had issues, I put my email in for a receipt that I never received.

I would strongly caution anyone relying on UPS for collection or drop off you simply cannot depend on them. Here’s to hoping my package actually arrives at the destination.

Why?

Why do ups keep sending messages to say they will deliver between certain hours and don’t deliver. Iv waited in 3 days this week for two deliveries and I’m still waiting for a parcel. Worst delivery service in Ireland

One star would be pushing it

One star would be pushing it. Conflicting information given from every single staff member in regards to rescheduling (is or isn’t possible) in regards to phone numbers (some say their couriers call people, others say they don’t) their website says they will attempt delivery again however this is after they phantom deliver some thing without calling you and just pretend to “attempt deliver” but their customer care says they don’t allow delivery again after a failed attempt. And to drive to finglas 😂😂😂 absolutely disgraceful , worst I’ve ever come across Ross

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service. Claimed address wasn’t given fully so delivery incomplete. When I rang, they repeated the full address back to me. Sent half of the package to another town half an hour away and had to go collect it. The other half of the package was sent back to the sender with the excuse of incomplete address even though they had the full address. Rang customer service spent an hour on the phone going back and forward being out on hold. They claimed it was in the depot and could be sent back to me. Got a pathetic email back an hour later claiming it had left the depot when no tracking was updated. In the end, was told by the supervisor they had no record of my previous phone calls and the package had left the depot centre and nothing could be done. Will never use this service again

Here we are again, 100% ignoring delivery instructions

Here we are again, delivery 1ZG222086827802268 abandoned on the side of the house under the sign instructing the delivery services to "ONLY DELIVER AT THE DOOR AND RING THE BELL". The same happened with deliveries 1ZW19R076897988210 and 1Z6A7T696843294841. It's a habit of this particular driver.

Missing parcels

I panicked as soon as I knew it was UPS delivering our packages, not had a good experience off late , they used to be ultra reliable but that’s been totally eradicated, I’m sure there are good people working there but as of now I’m awaiting 3 of the 7 packages that we need to build our chicken coop and two have been rescheduled and one apparently delivered somewhere even though we both work from home , driver had 4 packages on board but only left 2 and drove off with them , now it’s turned into a mess , I’d strongly avoid any dealings in the future

This company has the worst delivery…

This company has the worst delivery service.
I strongly recommend avoiding businesses that use UPS. Despite having our full address and contact details, deliveries are often marked as “attempted” without any real effort—no call,sms, no proper attempt, unlike local couriers who actually reach you. When I contacted UPS customer service, they dismissed the issue, saying they don’t provide drivers’ work phone and won’t change their process. It’s unacceptable to charge for a service they consistently fail to deliver. If more people avoid UPS, they might finally improve.

COMPLETE DISSATISFACTION with UPS…

COMPLETE DISSATISFACTION with UPS Shipping.

I have been waiting for my package (Tracking: 1ZY2YT410402215032) since 08/04 and STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT. Customer service is EXTREMELY POOR — no one can give a clear answer, and I keep getting vague responses and delays.

First, they said delivery wasn’t possible because my building has no intercom. HOW is that possible when ALL OTHER delivery companies manage to deliver without any issue?

I then changed the address to my workplace — a COMMERCIAL BUILDING WITH INTERCOM — and STILL no delivery attempt was made.

Now they say I have to collect it, but NO ONE CAN TELL ME WHEN it will be available at the collection point. This is completely UNACCEPTABLE.

I am traveling today and needed this by lunchtime. The item is VERY IMPORTANT, has an EXPIRATION DATE, and must be refrigerated. I now risk losing it due to THEIR FAILURE.

No one knows where my package is or when it will be available. ABSOLUTELY DISORGANIZED service.

I would NOT recommend UPS Shipping.

I would give zero stars if I could

I would give zero stars if I could. Terrible company. I will actively avoid companies who use UPS and have emailed to tell them will no longer be using their companies for this reason. Every time there is an issue. Package is always at least three to four days late using the reason security clearance needed. This is absolute rubbish. There is no security clearance needed for my property. Get a message to say delivery attempted. Again absolute rubbish. Phone lines awful, talking to robot when eventually gets a human, keep repeating the same line delivery was attempted. Absolutely appalling company.

Very dissapointing

How does this company survive on the market is beyond me. From parcels missing, not delivering the parcels, parcels handed over to the wrong person and hours wasted trying to get your package either on the phone with customers service or having to collect it yourself from a depot. I cannot believe such a company operates in this day and age. It is my first bad review about a company in hopes they'll either make some changes for the better or companies will stop using them. Extremely frustrating and time wasting :/
