I wanted to take the time to share my experience with Uwalk, having now travelled with them on two group Camino trips in Spain.

I have had such positive experiences with Uwalk as a company, but I would also like to give a special mention to the wonderful representatives who looked after us — Diane on my first trip and Melanie on my second. Both were incredibly helpful, kind and approachable, and they went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt supported throughout the journey.

On both trips, the communication from Uwalk before and during the Camino was excellent. Everything was so clear that I never found myself wondering what was happening or where I needed to be. The organisation and logistics were also incredibly well thought out. The buses were always there when we needed them to get to the trail, the hotels chosen were much better than I expected, and I was genuinely delighted with the standard and locations. Even with moving between hotels during the seven-day trip, ( twice in seven days) the luggage transfers were completely seamless. I never had to worry about my bags or any of the practical details — everything was taken care of effortlessly.

What I really appreciated was being able to enjoy the Camino without having to worry about the logistics behind it. Uwalk took care of all the details, allowing us to concentrate on walking, meeting people and enjoying the experience.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Uwalk to anyone considering a Camino trip. They provide a fantastic service, with excellent organisation, communication and, most importantly, people who genuinely care about making the experience a positive one.

I have had two brilliant experiences with Uwalk, and I’m hoping to travel with them again next year. Thank you to everyone at Uwalk, and especially to Diane and Melanie, for helping make both Caminos so memorable.

An amazing experience made all the better by being in an organised group tour. It takes a lot of the hassle out of researching accommodation, etc., and I have made friends for life! Will definitely be booking onto a different route later this year or next year.

Excellent Camino experience. Everything was seamless moving from hotel to hotel. Nothing to worry about . Accomodation much better than I expected. A really nice way to do the Camino with no stress and good company.

A 5 day walk from Sarria to Santiago.

The itinerary set by uWalk.ie was terrible, there was no consideration given to either the 'Camino' experience or the 'Pilgrim' experience.

Bus transfers at the start and end of nearly all the stages, meaning there was no time to explore the towns visited on the walk, nor attend the pilgrim masses during the week.

With dinner included in the package, at which the food was terrible, there was also no opportunity to explore the best of the local cuisine during the week.

Would not recommend this agency, and suggest that you confirm the location of all accommodation proposed before committing to a package option.

It was an absolutely amazing experience. I loved every second, and our guide Vimol was brilliant. We couldn't have asked for a better guide! I will remember this trip forever.

Thank you so much to Melanie, Trisha and Martin for all their help, guidance and encouragement for my recent Camino trip. This trip was so well organised, I just needed to turn up and enjoy myself! Melanie was with us every step of the way and was so pleasant to deal with, she is amazing. I would definitely book another Camino trip through Uwalk as it takes all the stress out of planning a trip.

The experience with UWalk was fantastic. They organised everything. Dusty is AMAZING, such a testament to the company, his knowledge, personality and guidance are unmatched.
UWalk took care of everything, so all you needed to do was show up and walk! It really took the stress out of it and I can't imagine doing another Camino without them. In fact, I've booked another one for September, so I'm so excited to go with them again!

I just returned from a Camino walk organised by Uwalk. From the moment we arrived til we departed, I felt totally wrapped in superb customer service. There was a great focus on safety and enjoyment delivered by the two expert guides. One Guide led the group from the front whilst the other ensured all walkers were accounted for. Two professional, knowledgeable guides for our group who constantly checked on our well-being and provided encouragement to those who needed it at times. The hotels provided were just superb, and I could not fault the quality of the rooms or the breakfast provided in each Hotel. Martin, the owner, introduced himself to our group, and it was a pleasure to meet him as he was very friendly and unassuming. Mary Kennedy was the inspired selection to lead our group. She was charming, took time to acquaint herself with every person and made us all feel welcome and valued. Well done Uwalk, on a superb service. For me arriving at the airport and not having to plan/organise anything was the best part, everything from start to finish ran smoothly, the whole trip was very well organised - having somebody (Melanie) on site with the group was great. The UWalk team did an amazing job.

Travelling the Camino with the help and care of UWalk.ie was a fantastic experience. All the practical logistics, planning, and thinking were looked after by the UWalk team, so I got to jump straight into enjoying my holiday experience! The whole trip was a rewarding challenge and a joy to share with my fellow travellers. It was great to holiday with a group of like-minded people, flexible enough to be able to do your own thing if you wanted, and secure enough to make new friends and share the experience too!

I turned 60 recently and decided to walk the final section Camino. And I have to say it was the most amazing experience. I really enjoyed walking the route. First off, Uwalk arranged everything to perfection. Plus the group I walked with were really nice. Plus we met so many people on the walk who were equally amazing and helpful. Everyone we met on the walk, were all of the same mindset. To walk to Santiago de compostela. And while it was tough in parts, if like me you are half way fit. Anyone can do this, and yes I will most certainly be doing it again.

I can't speak highly enough about the UWalk team. The whole experience was seamless from start to finish. From their excellent communication through the booking process to the on the ground support they provided during the trip. Our group leader Melanie, was endlessly kind and accommodating. An absolute pleasure to deal with. I would not hesitate to book with UWalk again

Just back from walking the Frances way of the Camino with Uwalk, and it was such an enjoyable experience. The organisation of such a big group was excellent, and the guides were so helpful and friendly. Melanie was our Uwalk rep, and she went above and beyond for everyone and was always so happy and chatted to everyone throughout the week and kept checking in with everyone. I hope to do another part of the Camino in the future and would have no hesitation booking with them again.

If you are travelling with friends or you are a solo traveller,
I would thoroughly recommend UWalk ...it was such an amazing experience where I met great people who I listened and shared with along the path of the Camino...We had great fun, we sang and recited poetry and the laughter...and were looked after so well with the two guides, but most of all we supported and were kind to one another on our journey 💙"

How do I put the magic of the Camino into words?

40 strangers gathered together to walk a route that thousands of pilgrims have done before us, and we all had our reasons to be there. What happened along the way was a true reflection of Cara and her beautiful soul. As we walked through the towns and over mountains, we discovered something about each other, we shared stories and secrets. We laughed, we cried, we sang, and we held inner stillness with ourselves.

What emerged was a group who became friends. We shared something magical as championed each other, soothed our souls, and held space to find our own paths. Nurturing a new awakening within. The Camino is more than a challenging journey, it’s a self-discovery too

This was not a great guided walking holiday. It was a brilliant one. Everything went like clockwork, and our ever-smiling guide, Dusty Flanagan was just superb. He was always smilingly concerned that each and every one of the group had all their needs catered for. He’s a pro. A pro that loves his job. Vigo to Santiago de Compostella.
