I would 100% recommend doing the Camino if thinking about it, and having Uwalk look after nearly everything made it such an enjoyable and stress-free trip. The Uwalk staff went above and beyond what is expected in order to ensure everyone is looked after and knows the daily plans of the trip with regular contact throughout the day. From the initial booking process to being dropped back to the airport, every need was catered for and always with a friendly smile from Uwalk staff.

I booked my Camino trip with the hikepsych and UWalk back in January/February 2024. I didn't know anyone going on the trip, but I hoped that I would make new connections, get some exercise and enjoy the towns/villages and local cuisine.

It surpassed all my expectations. Our group were so lovely and empathetic and great craic. Ranging from 30+ to 65ish. I have made lifelong friends on this trip. It was such a therapeutic & fulfilling week.
Uwalk and our guide Martha were great to deal with, from the initial booking to recommending places to eat, etc. The accommodation was lovely. 2 of the hotels were far more luxurious than I was expecting, and the 2 others were a little more rustic and dated, but spotlessly clean. Getting bags transferred to the hotel made it a far more enjoyable experience. Having completed the Portuguese camino in 2023 with my partner, staying in hostels and carrying my 20kg bag, I'd highly recommend getting the bags transferred. So much more enjoyable.
I've made life long friends on the trip and we've organised regular hikes around Ireland since the camino.
Also most of the original group has signed up again to the UWalk & hikepsych hiking trip to Austria in September 2025. I can't wait!
I'll definitely check out UWalk again for future group trips. I would love to see a trip to Madeira as a potential option.

We recently travelled as part of a group with Trisha Lewis and loved every second. The entire trip right through from booking until we flew home was excellent. We were so well looked after every step of the Camino, the family run aspect of Uwalk really shone through. I look forward to travelling with ye again. Buen Camino, Tina.

I did the Camino in June 2024, and I used the UWalk.ie service. It worked seamlessly, no problem with my backpack transfers, and the accommodations were excellent. They were very nice and helpful when I was booking the trip. I would definitely recommend UWalk if doing the Camino.

Walking the French Way of the Camino with all of you was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life, and not just because I now have calves of steel and an irrational fear of cobblestones. Trisha and Melanie, you two were our fearless leaders, motivational speakers, part-time therapists, and GPS systems (with fewer recalculations).

To the 102 amazing women: what a force you are! Every laugh, shared snack, beverage and song, and deep conversation made the miles feel shorter and the memories so much richer. You proved that when women come together with a mission (and decent walking shoes), anything is possible.

Jim, thank you for ensuring Paul was not blessed art thou amongst women. And to my dear husband, who not only walked beside me but somehow still loves me after seeing me sweat, limp, and occasionally curse in three languages, thank you. You’re a true Camino warrior.

This wasn’t just a walk, it was a wild, wonderful pilgrimage of friendship, reflection, and a whole lot of carbs. Thank you all for being part of this extraordinary journey.

I booked with Uwalk as a mature person joining an organised group for the Camino. The whole thing was very well done and the group were lovely. Going to book again for the walk through Portugal.

We had a great experience on the uwalk camino Santiago. Welcome meeting to get our bearings, very informative. Our bags transferred each day and good accommodations.

I recently completed the final stage of the French Way of the Camino with UWalk.ie. I found the staff so helpful and they answered all my questions expertly. My route was from Sarria to Santiago. I stayed in typical 2/3 star accommodation. All of the accommodation was spotless with very comfortable beds. Each morning my bag was transferred and was waiting at my next stop. My trip was seamless every step of the way. I have no hesitation in recommending UWalk.ie and I look forward to my next stage of the Camino with them. Miriam Owens

Do not use, use an alternative company as there is no support once you have paid your money. Accommodation is below par.

We booked a 7 night trips on the Camino Frances with Uwalk (part of Navan Travel). The cost was €575 each to share a twin room including breakfast.
We were told that accommodation would be "popular family run hotels / pensions along the route".
For some of the night's this was the case but for others the standard of accommodation was very substandard. On one night, our room was a very small double in a modern apartment that we had to share with strangers. There was no reception, we'd to call the owner when we arrived using the number we found on the door, then wait till he arrived, go to another apartment to collect our bags before going to another apartment to stay in. We then found out, other people we didn't know, would be sharing the apartment. They arrived into the apartment, quite drunk about 1am and made a lot of noise and then proceeded to shower. The sound proofing was non existent so we were not able to sleep well. The following morning we'd to walk about 400mts to find the cafe where we could have breakfast and we were charged extra to have a croissant!
On another night, the "pension" yet again did not have a reception or breakfast room. The room was dark and dank with a small window with a view of wall, the toilet door didn't close, there was no hairdryer. If we had booked directly the night we arrived via booking.com it would have cost us €42 for the twin room.
Also we'd been told that most of the rooms would have a bath (and to bring epsom salts). On 2 nights out of 7 this was the case.
When we contacted the uwalk agent to tell her we weren't impressed with the quality of the accommodation she just kept repeating that we were staying in "popular family run hotels / pensions, typical of the area"!
This is certainly not the case. There are many many other places to stay that are far superior for the money we paid. The places uwalk booked are only typical of the area if you want to stay in the rock bottom places!
