The company handling my replacement

These guys have been so helpful through my claim. I was provided progress each step of the way. They selected a reasonable replacement device, however the team considered my needs for the right replacement. I am glad this company provided the service for my device.

Insurance company claim validation

I was asked by my insurance company to send some items that had been damaged by either an electrical surge or lightning strike during a storm. Value checkers arranged collection. Confirmed within 24 hours that items could not be repaired. Provided an estimate to the insurance company of the replacement cost and when I attempted to purchase one of the items I found the valuation was less than I could purchase the item for As it was a progressing claim I didn't expect to be able to increase the value but asked the question anyway. Value Checkers then replaced the item rather than me receive a cash settlement and again I received this within 48 hours. They also kept me updated both by email and text with the steps involved with their assessments. A very positive experience

Claim went smoothly until the end

Claim went smoothly until the replacement item was being sent. I was advised it was being sent on a specific day. I arranged someone to be at home for that day. I was not sent any tracking information. I had to request this they sent me a tracking number for someone else’s delivery from January. When the information came through it hadn’t been collected by DPD which then delayed the delivery and this was not communicated with me which was disappointing with how well they handled everything prior to this.

Smooth replacement following assessment on behalf of love it cover it VC-4300-620 - 76979

I undertook a review of both Love It Cover It and Value Checkers following the failure of my laptop and proceeded with a claim through Love It Cover It due to their clear documentation process.

The claim was approved, and Value Checkers were appointed to carry out the inspection. The device was collected by DPD on Monday and delivered to their facility on Tuesday.

Following assessment, it was confirmed that the mainboard had sustained damage as a result of liquid ingress around the heatsink, which had affected the core functionality of the device.

Value Checkers advised that a report would be submitted to my insurer, after which a decision would be made. By Thursday, I received confirmation that a replacement had been authorised. The replacement unit was subsequently received by the repair centre and is scheduled for delivery to me on Saturday.

Throughout the process, communication from both Love It Cover It and Value Checkers was consistently clear, timely, and professional. The efficiency of the claim—from collection through to replacement—was particularly notable.

Given the modest monthly premium of £8.99 and an £80 excess, the overall level of service provided represents a high standard of customer care. I would also like to specifically acknowledge Attiah Somenthal at Value Checkers and Sophia at Love It Cover It for their professionalism, responsiveness, and support throughout the process, which contributed to a smooth and well-managed claims experience.
