Having had several pairs of Van Dal shoes, the latest two were extremely disappointing regarding their build quality. A very stylish pair of trainers have soles disintegraging and coming away from the tops on the first couple of wearings. The latest loafers have wear issues on the inside with only a few wearings. Not sure I'll look at Van Dals as my first port of call in the future.

Excellent customer service. Alex was very helpful when I discovered that the delivery of my order was going to my old address. He immediately arranged for the parcel to re-called and redirected to my new address. It took a few extra days, understandable during the Christmas rush, but my purchase arrived in good time.

I have purchased van dal shoes many times but the experience I had with this shoe is very bad.
Just before covid lock down I purchased navy wedges with a white trim. I have worn them once for four hours The lining is shredding, as is the trim. They were full price , I an very disappointed .

I love Van Dal shoes. The quality is excellent. It’s great to buy a pair of shoes that are a D or wider and they do half sizes so you get the perfect fit every time! The website is easy for ordering; and I really love the loyalty scheme giving discounts off future shoes. Thanks Van Dal.

I wore some Van dal shoes Ihad not worn for some tie and it appears the sole and the inner linings are all completely corroded. The sole is mushy. I went ontothe road and allthe grit suck in the sole and then the sole started to peel away. Ithen noticed allthe lining had also corroded. very surprised as Ihave often bought Van Dal, they are not inexpensive, but Ihave inthe past been satisfied.

I ordered extra wide fit Van Dal sandals from Charles Clinkard. When the shoes arrived they most certainly were not extra wide fit the shoe bed was less than 9cm.
I had to pay for the return of the shoes. Why is it not possible to have a standard fitting guide for footwear or when you contact the manufacturers and suppliers are they not able to give you the footbed measurements etc.

The quality of these shoes is spectacular; in the US, they would be $300 per pair. On top of that, Van Dal Shoes offers what I cannot get in the US - small sized extra wide shoes in a variety of professional as well as cute styles. I have gladly paid international shipping a dozen times now to order from their UK retailers. Extraordinary - 'hope they start selling in the USA soon.

The special heels on my boots had collapsed - boots only worn for special thus the problem it seems. Heels made to be biodegradable ?
Van Dal politely explained all and gave me a good discount on another pair. I then had to change the new ones - too narrow a fit. All done in a polite, prompt, efficient manner.

Great customer service when my computer locked me out of my account.
Customer service dealt with the fact that I had opened a second account on my phone to complete a purchase before rushing off for a hospital appointment.
They then helped me to consolidate my records and set a new password on the main account.
Even though VanDal are no longer made in U.K. the quality remains.
A good range of wider fitting shoes.

Quality in their shoes,& service.I ordered a pair for my wife and entered a discount code for a 15% discount this wasn’t accepted,so I carried on and paid the asking price.I sent a email asking why,they pointed out I had entered a wrong code,but gave me the discount as a refund.Very rare this happens.

I write this review on behalf of my mother who bought some shoes from VD a while ago. Due to her medication and hospitalisation, her feet had swelled and she could no longer fit into them.
The service she received after sending the shoes back was SUPERB - they credited her account with the full amount and were absolutely charming about it .
If only other retailers were as helpful as Van Daal!!!!!
One happy and returning customer that’s for sure .

Nice looking shoes, quality isn't great, service is non existent!

Great range of shoes at a good price. After trying on in shop, ordered the same model in another colour, very comfy, fit well and good classic design.
Came well packaged, on time and in perfect condition.
Shall be ordering more, once these wear out!
Also liked the bear paw slippers very comfy, hard wearing and again a good price.

I got two pairs of shoes from this brand. One a lovely pair of burgundy trainers and the other was a pair of slippers Kozitoze. Both pairs unfortunately were not good. About the trainers, I love the way they look, however, the design is very uncomfortable because the shoe height at the ankle is very low, it feels like the feet is not supported. But most importantly, the shoes slip on a wet floor. This is the worse part. I expected better quality for the material used in the soil. Well on these shoes I have been very close to falling on my back several times. I have to walk holding from the walls if the floor is wet. About the padders, just the second time I wore them, they got unstitch from the back, that happened to both shoes. I just feel a bit let down by the brand. I do not recommend them.

After spending over half an hour looking at ladies shoes and sandals and selecting several pairs in my basket I telephoned the office for two reasons the first was a request for a size chart that was not published on their website like others to ensure I had selected the correct size for me and the second was to ask how much it was for international delivery to Portugal. I did not wish to order the wrong size and have the trouble to return them. I was advised by the gentleman that they did not have a size chart and that was why they did free returns which in my opinion seemed a waste of time and error for both client and company. He said he would get a technician to email me the sizes as soon as they could, I am still waiting after several days and it does not appear that I am going to get it. The second one which I found astonishing was that as they only used Parcel Force and they were apparently not delivering abroad during the Covid 19 pandemic, he would not give me any further information and the only option I had open to me was to have them delivered to someone in the UK and for them to be sent on by a different carrier. During this difficult time many companies have turned to the internet for business and adapted in many ways to serve their customers, why couldn’t Van Dal look at another carrier and charge for this service I’m sure others would be happy with this outcome. I have had Van Dal shoes before and have always been very happy with them but I shall now look elsewhere. However this has not stopped Van Dal consistently bombarding me with emails offering discounts and shoe selections but there is no way I can buy them. With that said I will be unsubscribing to their website. Very unprofessional.
