I bought a Varon VH-2 Home Oxygen Concentrator for my partner's use (COPD/Asthma). It had been opened but was unused. It was taken out of its packaging on the 19th June but was unused. My partner died on the 20th June. Varonin's Customer Service was singularly insensitive, suggesting the following in their tardy response to my wish to return the item: "In accordance with our refund policy, we only accept returns due to quality issues; please understand that products which have been opened and used may affect their resale value. If you confirm that you wish to return the item, a 20% handling fee will apply. You will also be responsible for the return postage costs. Alternatively, you may resell this device to someone else. We will refund you £100 as compensation. Would you be willing to accept this proposal?" This differs somewhat from the returns policy attached to the invoice I received.

My advice is to steer clear of this mendacious and unhelpful company.

I purchased the VARON VL-2 portable oxygen concentrator specifically for travel use, but the actual performance was terribly disappointing.
During my trip, no matter how I adjusted the settings, the machine provided almost no noticeable oxygen flow. My blood oxygen levels barely improved — it felt like the device wasn’t working at all. For a product marketed as a lightweight travel companion, it completely failed to deliver on its promises. The battery life was also mediocre at best.
Even worse was the customer service. I contacted support multiple times, but received no reply for days. When they finally responded, it was in the middle of the night, making communication extremely inconvenient. There has been no real effort to resolve the issue.
I deeply regret buying this product and would not recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable portable oxygen concentrator for travel. Please think twice before purchasing.
