My usual garage closed down and this is the first time I used Vehicle Solutions. I needed an MOT. Amazingly, my car was being MOT-ed immediately on arrival and on time. The office and waiting area were pleasant and so were the people I was in contact with. While waiting, I observed an unprecedented level of efficiency with customers, in general. I will be back, best wishes and thank you very much.

I have had several problems with this garage. I had a cracked expansion tank for the cooling system replaced, but the cooling system had not been bled properly, so had to sort the problem out myself. On another occasion I had two boot struts fitted by this garage. One of these struts shattered whilst my car was park and strongly suspect that it had been damaged during fitting. As my car is a hatchback with a heavy lid, if the boot had been open when the cup of the strut failed I could quite easily have been killed. I am also unimpressed with being charged a full hour for just a few minutes work. The last time I visited this garage I was disgusted by the staff behaviour. I am totally aware of the garbage that has been put online and it is being monitored, so we are totally aware of whom has been posting.

Year 1 - 4 stars for my first experience with them (year one). Richard himself came to pick up my vehicle, replaced battery (with warranty) and took it in for MOT. Delivered it back as expected passed with MOT showing on dashboard. Could not however find keys which they took as they delivered it whilst I was working shift. Took a few days for them to drop them off, but would have been quite happy for them to leave keys wheel well.

Year 2 - absolute nightmare. Booked MOT and bodywork, which I was quoted for. (They wanted £500 up front = paid cash)

Deliver car and get "courtesy" runabout (paid for and booked) ... Assuming for the duration. After the weekend they want their runabout back, but still no MOT.

Drive past and car just standing outside. Nothing getting done. MOT due date comes and goes and now I cannot drive it back.

Mentioned the battery they gave me within the year was no longer working and had to have jump start daily.

Then excuse with warranty (they say battery is holding charge ... It's was not!) Finally get that paid out.

Then get car delivered back, nothing done, driven without MOT but lovely guy who collects their runabout.

Monies paid held ransom until they "make sure there are no scratches on their car"??? Didn't I pay insurance monies? Luckily photos taken before and after.

Long story short. Extremely shocking service year 2. Suddenly they don't have time to do the job because they are suddenly very busy.

Guess my money (cash) was not good enough. Or perhaps my car was too old. Who knows.

Got battery refunded "as a measure of good faith" ha ha

Yes very "sweet" on the phone and in person (most of them)

At first all seems well. The customer care was welcoming. The chap i spoke to on the phone was great. Upon picking the car up begins the spiral down.

They had left the car running for over an hour and a half prior to pickup. They explain the battery was low, even though the battery was checked and is fine. Even still, turn the engine off after 5 mins. That'll be fine.

Someone there had managed to snap the spare wheel cover in two, and just chucked it in the boot without any mention of it. Only whilst i was going over the car, did i notice it. What really pi**ed me off was the fact they emailed me back saying "the chap who worked on the car believes this was already cracked." They did replace it (with an eBay second hand one) eventually. I am 100% sure the original was not damaged at all before going in.

The alloys were not balanced correctly resulting in me having to go back again to have them rebalanced. I had a time slot which i thought they would do it in whilst i was there. Took over an hour to balance them! Apparently a weight had come off. When it was re-balanced, they had left all the sticky black stuff on the alloy, ruining the new look of the alloy. Spent 15 mins scrubby hard at it to get 50% off.
And still there is a slight vibration at speed. I suspect to be balancing again. I'll be taking it to a professional garage to get them balanced correctly as i'm wasting my time and fuel going to and fro. They have also not put the key back in to get the caps off. Only found out when i got back to put the wheel on myself.

The alloys were dirty on initial inspection which after cleaning i picked up on a small defect (shown in the image). Subsequently i had to go back "again" to drop the wheel off and put the spare on whilst they resolved that issue. They did a patch repair on it but now i can not get the alloy properly clean. Like the lacquer isn't on it.

I'm just annoyed that i've spent £420+ and received so much hassle. I personally wouldn't recommend them based on my experience.

Pretty sure when i was waiting at reception, i saw they had a sign saying they have 5 stars on trustpilot.....Hopefully i am wrong on that.
