Awful dealership
I went into the Nissan dealership in Ilkeston on Monday with a view to purchasing a new electric Nissan Micra. After standing around waiting for assistance inside the showroom I asked a member of staff for help. She was snippy and miserable and I was told they were very busy and no one could help me (even though there were various salespeople milling around) and I could ring for an appointment. I left. Awful place. I’ll never go there again. Nor will I recommend it. I went straight to Stratstone in Derby and bought a new Mini.

I’m very sorry to hear that you felt disappointed with your visit, and that the interaction left you with a negative impression. This is certainly not the experience we aim to provide.
Unfortunately, your visit coincided with the final days of March, which is one of our busiest periods. At that time, all of our sales team members were assisting customers who were collecting their new vehicles, which meant availability on the showroom floor was extremely limited.
We did explain that there will be a member of staff available within half an hour and have offered you the option to arrange an appointment for a dedicated member of staff to assist you properly, but we understand you chose not to take this option. While we always try to accommodate walk-in customers, there are occasions where all team members are fully engaged, which is why we recommend booking appointments to ensure you receive the time and attention you deserve.
We’re truly sorry that we missed the opportunity to assist you on this occasion and that you chose to purchase elsewhere. Your feedback has been noted and will be shared with the team to help improve how we manage busy periods and customer interactions.

Purchase of a new Nissan Qashqai…
We recently bought a new Nissan Qashqai from Nissan Vertu at Ilkeston. The service we received was excellent. Matthew was the person who helped us through the buying/part exchange process - he definitely had the patience of a saint dealing with us and particularly my ever changing mind on what I wanted!

Great buying experience.
I reserved a car online Sunday morning. Went to the dealer first thing on the Monday. I was greeted by Matthew Hall who guided me through the whole process. Which resulted in me being able to collect my new car the following day on the Tuesday. Again Matthew processed the collection and gave me a detailed run down on the car I had bought. The whole process felt very comfortable and was a very positive buying experience.

I couldn’t be happier with the service I receivedfrom Matthew Hall From start to finish, he was incredibly helpful, patient, and understanding. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all my questions without rushing me, and made sure I felt completely comfortable with my choice.

A great experience. Matt was really helpful, had lots of advice, showed us a couple of cars once he knew what we were after. Great costumer service and a wonderful car
I had a positive experience overall. While buying a car, there were a miscommunication and misunderstanding to purchase over the weekend from the head office staff. However, it was handled professionally from the garage and resolved perfectly. I’m happy with the outcome and appreciate the effort made.

Easy and stress free experience
From the first contact with the team at Ilkeston to driving the new car away was a stress free process.
Communication with the team via telephone or email was very straight forward and informative.
Nothing was to much trouble and nothing was forced upon you, yes all products were explained but that was how it was left.
Overall it was a pleasure to choose my car from Ilkeston and would not hesitate in going back there
