30,000 mile service - Bedford

Worst customer experience in a very long time.

Complimentary service wash and vacuum not provided as we have no time to do it with so many cars booked despite the fact that you are to pay in excess of £300 for service and MOT, leaving car for eight hours and most importantly it was offered at time of booking. Check in service staff really off hand and blunt. Overall very unimpressed.

Also beware the serial upselling on their service contract (six attempts so far) and the quote of £350+ of extras (after a complimentary health check) that are ‘not required but would be good to do while the car is here’ taking the proposed bill to over £700. Is this a joke?

Avoid this place at all costs.

My van was with Vindis Van Centre for two weeks and absolutely no meaningful work was carried out. Instead of diagnosing the problem, they spent the entire time blaming other van centres and even tried to suggest that I had somehow interfered with the vehicle myself — despite there being no evidence whatsoever and them being the only workshop that had actually inspected it.

The communication throughout was extremely poor. In particular I dealt with someone called Tyler, who I found to be rude, unprofessional and consistently passive-aggressive in his responses. Rather than trying to help resolve the issue, the attitude I received felt defensive and dismissive from the start.

After two weeks of delays and excuses, I removed the vehicle and took it to an independent specialist. Within a very short time they were able to identify a serious issue involving three engine mount bolts sheared off inside the engine block, something that had apparently gone completely undetected while the van sat at Vindis.

The whole experience has been incredibly frustrating and costly. I have now had to escalate the matter to The Motor Ombudsman due to the way it has been handled.

Based on my experience I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. I will certainly never be using Vindis again.

Vindis Huntingdon, fantastic experience

I had a fantastic experience with Vindis Huntingdon and couldn’t recommend enough. James had contacted me about upgrading my car which, unbeknownst to him, I had been desperate to do already. He found me a new Golf which met all my needs and fitted my budget. His service up to and on day of collection was great. He was very friendly and approachable. Would not hesitate to recommend!

Incredible service from Alistar Lord.

Incredible service from the service department. My car went in for an oil leak, I asked for a health check while it was in, a few issues were identified, I dealt with a gentleman called Alistar Lord, his service was superb, the issues found were explained to me properly, I was given a very clear break down of parts and labour etc, he wasn’t pushy or anything, gave me time to work through it in my head, I happily agreed to the work, I was updated daily, and the work carried out was superb. No issues at all! Thanks Vindis and thank you Alistar

Went into the Bedford branch to see what a new Tiguan has to offer.
Four members of staff standing at the sales counter chatting.
Someone finally, after an awkward few moments, said hello!
Tole him i was looking for the new Tiguan, to which he pointed out the nearrst one, and then carried on with the group chat!
Customer Service, very poor and i felt like an inconvenience, so promptly left and decided against this as a potential purchase.

Many things were poor about my experience. This was typified by the fact an 'Urgent issue' was flagged for replacement bonnet latch handle (internal) at cost £134.76!! (these cost £8.99 on Ebay and take a few seconds to fit). And this is despite the offending item being a known issue that is easily knocked off its fitting and which, when given the car back, I found after a few seconds of looking under the drivers seat and fitted in a few seconds more. Customers comments are ignored and treated like fools, very disappointing.

Visited the Vindis VW garage to buy a Golf, was introduced to Lionel the Sales Executive. As I am deaf I took my partner as I have problems hearing in the showroom and on the telephone. I stated that I use email if I had any queries after the initial vehicle order form, as I have difficulties hearing on the telephone. I have sent various emails to Lionel and other Sales staff for a response over the last week. After a few days I sent follow up emails to confirm the information on the order form and the PCP process that Lionel offered. Lionel stated that rather than us having to wait 19 weeks, he may be able to source a car from another dealer and that he would come back to us within a couple of days. No follow up emails or status report, I have been left wondering about the service at this garage after forwarding my email to various sales staff at the garage with no response.

BMW From now on!

Left me high and dry and didn't want to fix my car because its a few years older. Only interested in selling me a new one. Now i am struck with a broken car they cant be arsed to get involved with. Cheers Audi. BMW for me from now on.

The contract was not honoured in full. The vehicle prep was also poor. I was encouraged to sign documents ahead of time. The prime driver was for them to close the sale and then there was zero customer service. Put simply I complained. The sales person did not respond to my emails. The sales manager subsequently promised to rectify the issue straight away. After two weeks I contacted him by email. Again no response. I would not trust this company again.

DO NOT BUY FROM NORTHAMPTON AUDI

Bought a used approved Audi Avant, from VINDIS NORTHAMPTON AUDI which turned out to be a sub standard approved car as after 3 months & less than 2,000 miles the car had to go into another Audi dealership & they carried out a health check. The car required over £2000 pounds worth of repairs to bring it up to an Audi used approved standard & I was advised not to drive the car.
Vindis Northampton Audi would not support in anyway after many calls & emails, most of which were ignored
I will be taking this further i..e trade & standards/motor ombudsman

Stay well Clear, shocking!!

I had a better experience buying my last kettle than at this place. They talk utter rubbish and treat people like idiots so i have gone and bought a BMW. Much better service, no rip off tactics and why would i pay anyone an admin fee to process the paperwork for the car that i am buying. You pay your staff, not me thanks!!

Vindis group embarrassment

Following my last review on 05/12/25.
I successfully diagnosed and sorted the ACC fault by replacing my battery and VW Milton Keynes (Marshalls) re calibrated the ACC with no problems and agreed that VW Vindis Bedford should have diagnosed this. Yet again this has proved what an embarrassment Bedford VW must be to CEO Jamie Vindis - Mr Vindis i appreciate you do not care but this dealership is utterly shameful.

Go elsewhere to avoid being missold

I am extremely disappointed with the experience I’ve had at Vindis Audi Huntingdon. The salesperson I was dealing with told me he was eager to meet a sales target and assured me that a specific vehicle was available. He provided photographs and confirmed that the car would be mine once I paid the deposit.

After the deposit was taken, communication from him stopped almost completely. I have since been informed by his manager that the car I was told I had secured does not, in fact, exist, and that they are attempting to locate a similar vehicle supposedly still in transit to the UK. This is wholly unacceptable.
I entered this transaction in good faith, expecting honesty and professionalism from a dealership operating under the Vindis name. Unfortunately, the experience I have had falls far short of that standard. I will be escalating my complaint to Vindis Head Office, as customers deserve transparency and accountability. Mis-selling of this nature should never occur at a reputable dealership and customers do have protection.

We bought two family cars from Audi Bedford and upon going to upgrade realised the sales agent totally mis sold us both vehicles and this is now not possible . Staff don’t get back to you . Spoken to like we are stupid . Wish we’d never bought these cars

After sales Vindis VW Cambridge
Bought a VW approved used car 12 months old.
After 10 days I discover the number of previous keepers is more than I was told, several warning lights are on and an oil service I'd been told had been done hadn't been.
Sales executive was fine to deal with and he apologised.
Problem was when matters were passed up the chain. VW Customer Service passed the matter back to the dealer to resolve. 2 days later I received a phone call from the sales manager. He did not really acknowledge the issue regarding me being given incorrect previous keeper history. He did state he would arrange for car to be booked in for diagnostics and a courtesy car to be made available. He would discuss with head of business whether an oil service would be done as a goodwill gesture. I asked for contact details for the head of business.
It took an additional 4 days before I was contacted regarding booking in the car for diagnostics.
No contact received regarding an oil service as a goodwill gesture. Clearly didn't think it appropriate but couldn't be bothered to tell me.
Ignored my request for contact details of the head of business.
I need to hope I have no further problems with the car.
I'll do my best in future to avoid Vindis VW Cambridge.

Denny at Vindis Audi Huntington handled our transfer over from our previous Audi to our brand new hybrid , can’t fault the service the manor in which he conducts himself. Very happy with the service hence staying with Vindis now for our 7th year. No fuss no hassle just straight up service

I am extremely disappointed with the service at this Audi dealership. My car has been sitting in their workshop for two months waiting for repair. The vehicle is still under warranty, yet the situation has not been handled properly.

Despite the long repair time, I was not offered a replacement car. The lack of communication and poor customer service are unacceptable. This is not the level of service one would expect from a premium brand like Audi.

Very frustrating experience. I would not recommend this dealership based on the way my case has been handled.
