So far ONE STAR.
I paid for a premium $$ and ran an automatic scanner/removal tool. Scanner removed some of the malware but my website is still infected.

Asked for support... and after 12 hours nobody responded. They emailed me info so that I could post my problem of Virusdie Facebook Community Forum.
After 10 hrs nobody even approved my post. Looks like the FB community is dead.
Still waiting for help. If they do not respond in 24 hours I'm going to report FRAUD on my credit card.

Update:
Now, I've been hanging on for over 24 hours with no sign of assistance. This isn't just poor service; it's a complete abandonment of responsibility. I'm left with no choice but to flag this as potential fraud on my credit card and sound the alarm to the relevant authorities.

And you bet I'll be broadcasting my dismal experience with Virusdie across the internet. With over 85K followers on my social media, I'll make sure everyone hears about this fiasco and steers clear of your services. 😤

Almost many find it as if they put the malicious file by hand. However, in some cases, it may not find every file. There were false positive results in the database for a long time, I did not encounter the last update.
I have been providing security services for a long time and the following requests must be included.
1- Fix all file folder permissions in one click.
2- The option to search for files other than php from the search section.
3- Detecting modified files in Wordpress core plugin and theme file.
4- Instant scan option for changed files
5- Option to cancel scanning.

Well, what may I say. 5 stars to old user interface, and just 3-stars for the new user interface (I mean, Virusdie generation 5) so far.

In short. The old UI enriched with cool features and it is stable, meanwhile, the new cool features like database scan and cleanup, new group management, facelifted dashboard - available for the new UI only. And that is beta, and even earlier stage, I feel - something the alpha IMHO now. So green but so wet now.

I believe the team ‘looks improve the 5th gen UI beta soon and upgrade that to stable one or eg. cos I really need all those features asap!

Performance.
Yep, that works. As declared. No more no less. Yep, GUI really easy even for beginners.

Thx guys. Not too many times I may say that something really works properly, these days. I mean, the all entire IT industry, in a big way.

support is very slow opened a ticket 2 days ago and still no reply, it is nothing serious so I can wait but still sucks! if it was something more serious I would have literally been pis.. off. These days, how quickly you reply to customers, is very important and it tells a lot about how you are committed to your product. Kinda disappointed, lately I have been in contact with the support of other similar products and it was excellent! they replied within 15 min even on weekends.
need tolower this to 1 star as the automatic scan is not working again, this seems more of a beta product...
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT???? i can prove i purchased the product. Your reply shows me your cs is very poor and kinda arrogant saying that the problem in not on your side, this is not the way to handle problems!

SO IF THE AUTOMATIC SCAN DOES NOT WORK IS MY PROBLEM???? or if we have to change the password because the software does not recognize it anymore??? nice attitude
instead of insinuating such things, try to improve the product that we CUSTOMERS pay handsomely for!!! instead of making stupid insinuations

This platform is excellent. I needed help when I had nothing else to do. My site was attacked by malware and I scanned it with VirusDie, it pointed out several threats and weaknesses that could lead to a new attack. After the cleanup, I contacted support and Andrew, the Senior security expert helped me with some fixes. Now everything is back to normal.

One of the best web-security suites available on the market - an extensive and highly accurate anti-malware engine and an easy to operate firewall makes a killer combo. Even though it stands out in the crowd still, it's fairly new compared to its other counterparts hence a lot of features are missing right now and yet to be added. Will revisit when those desired features are successfully integrated. Peace!

Virusdie is a good solution and easy to integrate with a perfect UI

So why do I give low stars?
I have scanned many sites and is not satisfied with its report and reliability
In most cases the malware is still there, redirection happens, malicious code is still injected in the database and we got those in ********* {name stripped so no one thinks I am marketing them} but those are not detected in Virusdie, so we have to double-check the site with other scanners or clear it manually

Perhaps I am wrong for most of you but for me, It may take some time to trust this product.

I am a large scale Wordpress web host and manage a LOT of Wordpress websites. I am constantly looking for security related tools to help mitigate against the constant onslaught of attacks to my Wordpress clients' websites. When I found VirusDie, I knew I needed to get it.

One more thing that I will say is that this isn't the be-all end-all for Wordpress Security. But this is one more layer of mitigation in the context of a larger security protocol. And it's a good one.

First off, I wouldn't trust "a susan's" recent review. It's strange to me that such a great product would get such a low review. This is probably competition wanting to intentionally harm VD's reputation. Sad.

Anyway, on to my review. VD is fantastic. I got lucky and got a lifetime deal through Pitchground, but it's still a fantastic tool for detecting malware in WordPress and protecting your site(s) via firewall. The UI is pretty good, could maybe be better in some respects but it all works well. Support is good and I get responses typically the same day. And scanning/detection wise VD has saved me countless hours notifying me of vulnerabilites so I can patch them quick, and accurately detected actual malware to allow me to quickly and efficiently clean it up.

Their team and development also appear to be very active and I'm frequently seeing updates on improvements to the platform and other cool updates like their recent team get togther which was really cool to actually put a face to the program and project.

Bottom line, I'm super happy with my purchase and use of VD and would recommend it to anyone. Similar tools are very expensive and/or result in heavy server load. VD is/was cheap for me and works great for my 140+ websites I manage.

UNTRUESTED for malware scanning and removal

We have 100+ sites on Virusdie

- Firstly their UI stucks in loading our site lists,
- Secondly they do not have any data filters or export option to ease the customer so its real pain when you have sites more than 100+
- No real database scanner, so malware can peacefully exists in your database and do the stuff
- Malware cleaner will not work when your site has huge number of files
- WAF only provides the blocking on particulate page or from any IP
- Malware detected by sucuri free scanner in JS can never be detected by Virusdie
- Many malwares are undetected so uncleaned
- They have many features but with high number of sites we can not use them easily
- API is not available until you claim to be their partner and its paid, however the basic API should be there to ease the customer tasks but in 2021 they still believe on manual work
- Suppose if we have to disable WAF on all sites then we have to do it one by one which can take a day for an employee, so its not really saleable for big businesses, same goes with the other features

- LASTLY, we never rely on virusdie because there are free scanners like wordfence and there are paid once as well like MalCare and Sucuri, which still detected the virus which virus die could not

So we are using multiple scanners as their DB is not updated or it takes time to update the signature of new vulnerabilities.

When a new virus comes or vulnerability is exploited in specific plugin, all virus scanners updates the DB on priority but virusdie doesn't do any such thing

Virusdie has the very active team. They listen the customer and update their product quick.
The scan is very good, found ton of shell script and malware.

I hope they will improve the firewall more too.

I will use Virusdie on all mine and client's website
