I ordered aubergine seeds , Black Beauty, and for some unfathomable reason none germinated. I've been growing aubergines for years and was using a propagator set at 25°c. Maybe they were not moist enough.
Anyway, I emailed Vital Seeds and a replacement packet was there the next day.
Impressive!

Have been using and buying Vital Seeds since 2018 when I read about them in a newspaper article by Alys Fowler ‘Prepare for Brexit with home-grown seeds’. Since then the company has moved from strength to strength expanding their organic seed stock.

Their organic seeds are reasonably priced and of good consistent quality. Their packaging is paper and cardboard easy to dispose of in home composting. Vital Seeds postage and packaging is well priced and amazingly speedy. Customer service is great. Website is good and I look forward to the regular email newsletters from Fred, Ronja and team that are full of information, sowing details and local detail.

These guys are just lovely to do with. Their ordering system is very efficient...I like their green ethos..the packaging is great...the design of calendars is a delight. There is nothing I do not like about these people ..the when to plant updates and other growing info.is very useful for me being a relative newcomer to the world of growing your own. I’ve been ordering seeds from vital seeds for a few years now variety is fantastic. The seeds themselves are noticeably more reliable than seeds. I’ve got from other bigger seed companies. The emails are informative and not pushy. I love the descriptions on the website and the different tomato varieties are unusual and delicious!
