Awful experience
Awful experience. Ordered a model on the 14th as a birthday gift for the 20th. It was advertised as in stock and offered next day delivery. 2 days later I was informed that they didn’t have it and needed to order it in. I asked them to confirm it would be here in time for the 20th or to refund me so I could buy elsewhere if they couldn’t achieve this. I was informed it would be here by the 18th at the latest. Nothing arrived on the 18th so I contacted them again on numerous occasions and was just ignored, with no replies. Finally got through to them and they had no idea where my item was so I asked for a refund. It’s now the 26th and I’ve still not been refunded or received the model. I’m £200 out of pocket, my son didn’t get his present and I’ve no idea when I’ll ever be refunded. Totally useless company. Was hoping to get back into the modelling hobby but having wasted so much time and effort chasing I’m completely put off. Hopefully reading this, they may finally give my money back before I have to take legal action.

We’re very sorry for the disappointment and frustration you’ve experienced. To clarify for transparency: your order was shipped quickly in good faith, but unfortunately DPD lost the parcel in transit. As soon as we became aware, we raised an investigation with DPD, processed your refund straight away, and also offered you a replacement car to make things right.
We completely understand how upsetting it was that your son didn’t receive his gift in time, and we sincerely apologise for the stress this caused. This is not the experience we want for any of our customers, and we will continue to do everything we can to ensure issues like this are resolved fairly and quickly.

Warning - these guys sell time machines!
These guys don’t sell models, they’re clearly merchants of time machines! As an older kid (38) I’ve recently rediscovered the love of Tamiya by using my kids as an excuse. Building a Tamiya TT-02 RC car from scratch has taken me right back to being 9 again when life was simpler!
The team at Voltage know their stuff and made the process of transporting back to my childhood super simple and fun. Thanks!

In shop
When I was on their shop which is really amazing with all the RC on display, I asked about first timers and what would be recommended for both me and my 7 year old, answered any queries I had and I then bought an RC for my daughter and they were very helpful telling me about it and things that can be done and if ever any issues to drop an email pop in and they would be more than happy to do what's needed,
Very amazing staff and the owner is a real gentleman that can't do more than enough to make sure you are happy.
