Couldn’t give a negative star review or…
Couldn’t give a negative star review or I would. Absolutely the worst product purchase process of my entire life. I hope this company burns to the ground.
Absolutely horrible customer service…
Absolutely horrible customer service seriously considering canceling my order.
Lost a customer.
My experience was actually really good...until it wasn't. I purchased a car through vroom and I chose to be financed through them as well. Everything went great for the most part. I got a 2020 Kia Forte GT-line. When they delivered the car they called me and said they would be at my house later that day which was a little irritating because I was at work and I called multiple times to let them know the day that would work for me but instead they delivered it two days early and I wasn't able to be there. Luckily they were fine with handing it over to a family member. After I got the car I immediately noticed that the infotainment screen in the car was damaged. They did not tell me about that and they did not list it on the posting for the car. It was bubbling up on the right side which I found out later was due to heat and the only way to fix it was to replace the entire screen. That was a bit annoying because they basically lied to me by not disclosing that information. Other than that I loved the car and I was really happy with it. So.. two months down the road I unfortunately got into a car wreck and the car was deemed a total loss. My insurance paid the value of the car but they did not pay the full payoff amount so I have 5 thousand dollars left remaining. I went back to vroom and picked a new car. I chose financing again and they said I was approved right away. I was really excited because I had just gone through something horrible and I was out of a car. Come to find out.... I was not approved and that was a lie. Not sure why they told me I was when I really was not. One of their sales agents (name was Jose) gave me the run around for like 5 days or more making me think it was going to work out but then he just stopped contacting me. So I got ahold of him and he said they would not finance me unless I paid off the 5 thousand dollars. I asked if it could just be added on to the new loan for the new car and he said no which is crazy to me because finance companies do that for people all the time. Then he said I might be able to be financed through someone else but the next time I talked to him he said the only other bank that would finance me was asking for 4 thousand dollars for a down payment, which I am not able to do either. I was a really good customer for them and I made my payments on time but they would not help me out at all and I think that is messed up. Needless to say, I went through someone else and got a 2021 Kia Forte GT-line. It is a newer nicer car with much lower miles for a better price. Sucks that they lost my business because they could not work with me after I got into a car wreck which was already devastating to me. Hopefully vroom reads these because they should be able to help their customers a little bit after something horrible happens to them. I won't recommend them to anyone.
Vroom is more worried about getting your money, not about delivery of vehicle!!…
Vroom is more worried about getting your money than delivering your vehicle. Had delays due to battery not working, then the emission and still no vehicle!!! I do not recommend purchasing a vehicle from Vroom! They are very casual about everything after documents are signed!
Vehicle was delivered 6-5-22
Vehicle was delivered 6-5-22. It’s now 10-26-22 my truck is sitting in my driveway still not registered due to title problems. Absolutely terrible experience my recommendation would be to buy someplace else
I wasted a week of my time on Vroom
I wasted a week of my time unsuccessfully trying to sell my car to Vroom. On Sunday I filled out their online forms to start the process. The forms asked me to indicate whether or not the car had ever been in an accident -- it had been, a minor fender-bender, but the damage was professionally repaired. I stated that it had been in a fender-bender. No problem, evidently; Vroom gave me an offer immediately of $21,000 for my car, which was a far better price than either CarMax or Carvana, so I accepted the offer. The next day I received the contract via email, which contained a paragraph saying that by signing, I was stating the vehicle had never been in an accident. So I called Customer Service to say that I couldn't sign that contract, and could they please send me one that did not contain that particular language. No problem -- they'd get that done and a new contract sent to me within two business days. Well, two business days elapsed and no contract. I spoke with one rep who told me to wait a while longer. Then I called the next day and asked what was going on (this is now four days after filling out the online form) and was informed that Vroom would not be buying my vehicle due to Vroom's policy of not buying any damaged vehicle. I wasted a considerable amount of my valuable time on this process. Why didn't Vroom's Web site simply tell me "Sorry, we can't buy your car" ? And the most aggravating part was that the "Customer Service" rep simply couldn't understand why I was unhappy with the experience. I requested that a manager call me back, but I'm not holding my breath. Obviously, I recommend you avoid trying to sell your car to Vroom. CarMax is more expensive (both for selling and buying) but I have *never* had a bad experience with CarMax.
I Checked Vrooms online price on a 2019…
I Checked Vrooms online price on a 2019 GMC Savanna Van. Vrooms selling price was $41,000. I then checked what Vroom would give me if I sold them my 2019 GMC cargo van with less miles in as new condition, Vrooms offer was $12,000!!! What crooks!!! Carvana and Carmax both offered me just over $29,000 to buy my vehicle. I have the printed documentation from all 3. DO NOT DEAL WITH VROOM OR YOU'LL GET SCREWED !!!
I would not deal with this company what…so ever. TERRIABLE Needs to be investigated and shut down.
I would not deal with this company what so every.
They are running a BAIT AND SWITCH scheme using the Reservation Money $249 and keeping it. They notified me at my Hub that a contract was being sent to me within 24hrs to sign to purchase the car and sold the car during that time frame. I put insurance on the car even at that time as requested by VROOM My HUB. Then waited for two days for a contract. Then upon checking My HUB, I learned car was sold to someone else. I contacted them and discussed this with them. I requested the reservation fee to be refunded back. They refused to do so. Not only that I lost some of the money for the insurance I placed on the car, requested by vroom. I've placed a complain with the Federal Trade Adminstration and the BBB. I've got all snap shots and documents to prove my point.
In a simple nutshell Vroom baited and…
In a simple nutshell Vroom baited and switched. Went through the whole process to purchase just to be told the vehicle l was interested in was too old for Vroom lenders to finance except one that presented terms much more then l originally was able to do.
If Vroom is going to offer cars that are more then 10 years old ok but don’t suddenly come back with an offer no where near the original offer.
6 lenders only one would consider my offer. Let me point out my credit score was very good.
Original offer was $3000. Down and approximately $225.a month for 72 months. Suddenly changed to $5200. down and $276. Each month for 54 months. Not looking for the excuses don’t advertise how easy it is to buy from Vroom then pull the old switcheroo because of the year of the vehicle. What burned me the most was being told if l wanted to purchase a newer vehicle no problem.
Won’t be using Vroom’s website again.
SHAME
Be very cautious before you do any…
Be very cautious before you do any business with these guys. They took my money and then it was impossible to get a hold of anyone you get a bunch of worthless people that work from home who have no balls no one to turn to to ask a question they don’t know nothing half of them don’t speak English be very cautious go to a different dealership We bought a car from Carvana and it was a smooth transaction I’ve ever had in my life I’m warning you this is a major warning be careful dealing with these guys
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Do NOT believe the reviews that said they had a great experience, that’s what I did and I will forever regret using vroom. Made my first car buying experience absolutely horrendous.
* customer service is obnoxious. Expect 4-6 people calling you throughout the day.
* I already started the process and I still had representatives calling me to get me started on steps that I already completed.
* For an online dealership, their website is trash. They’d send me links to different forms and there were several occasions where the website would say it was down or I was sent a faulty link.
* I was trading in my old car and they had to draft up my deal summary multiple times due to them forgetting to add things on… for example my trade in car.
* The easiest part about the whole process was putting my down payment on the car… which doesn’t surprise me at all
* After paying, they send you an email saying you’ll receive your contracts overnight or within 24 hours. I received my paperwork over a week later.
* They claim that within 10-14 days of purchase your car will be delivered. I finished my purchase February 2nd and received an email saying my car has an estimated delivery date of February 25th. Which was over 3 weeks away and they claim it’ll only take 2 weeks at most.
* I decided to wait until the 25th. I was already frustrated with the process. On February 16th I get a call that morning and tell me my car is being delivered at 11am. I was happy to get my car right at the two week mark, but I was annoyed that I was only given a couple hours notice for my delivery.
* I was happy to have my car, but I was extremely upset that my car needed an oil change right away and my wipers were broken. So I had to spend money on the car right from the start.
* I got an email on Feb. 26th saying my title and registration were being processed by my states dmv and that I’d receive an email with a tracking number. They claim the process time can take up to 12 weeks. My temporary tags expired April 8th, I made the decision to risk driving with an expired temporary tag due to it being my only transportation to work and in hopes that my plates would arrive soon.
* I emailed them on May 5th (2 days shy of 10 weeks) to check in. I was going to apply for an extension on my tags through vroom. They emailed me a couple of days later saying that was no longer a possibility in the state of Texas. They said they could get me a rental car, but that I would have to pay the deposit. I personally did not want to get stuck driving a rental car while the car I am paying for sits in my garage
* After multiple calls with vroom about where my plates and registration were, I chose to go into my states DMV to check on my plates and registration. I went in on May 31st. When I got there they told me that they received the paperwork 2 weeks after I received my car and that the paperwork wasn’t complete so they sent it back and they hadn’t heard or received anything back. They reached out to them for me and told me that they’d hopefully receive something soon. I then had to pay $30 to get an extension on my temporary tags.
* FINALLY, on June 24th (1 day shy of 17 weeks) I received my plates in the mail. I didn’t receive a tracking number or anything, but I literally felt like I could cry… I was so relieved.
* Overall this process was beyond horrible. It took 5 1/2 MONTHS to finish the whole process. Customer service was a nightmare. No matter how many times you reach out to get answers it won’t do any good. They are just as confused as you are as a customer! I thought I read enough reviews before deciding to give Vroom a chance, but I was wrong.
Varoom is awful!!!
I had the most terrible experience with Varoom. They kept sending me paperwork to fill out and I did so. and sent it back. I would get an email asking for the same information I just submitted, the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. After trying to jump through all the hoops, and sending in my deposit, I got a email stating they were going to list the vehicle for sale again. I called and was told you should not have gotten that email. Well I did !!! After close to a month they still could not give me a delivery date. If I could give a rating of minus stars I would.
Think twice about Vroom...
I am writing this for my son-in-law, who is not allowed to post a negative review per Vroom's non-disclosure agreement. Although not my own personal experience, I had a front row seat and feel the need to share what happened. My son-in-law writes: "I had a very bad experience with Vroom. First, the car was delivered about a week early with no notice it was coming, and I had to race home to catch the delivery guy. Then, it turned out the car needed a bunch of mechanical repairs. I got very reasonable estimates from my local mechanic, but Vroom took several weeks to agree to pay for the fixes. Its customer service was poor as I was assigned one customer service rep after another who were very slow to respond (if they responded at all) and they kept asking me to re-submit information over and over. I finally had to get a supervisor involved to get it done. Then, after Vroom finally agrees to pay to fix the broken car it sells you, it makes you sign a confidentiality agreement to get the money, so that people don't go around telling everyone what a bad experience you had."
Registration 2017 challenger scat pack…
I bought a 2017 challenger scat pack from vroom 8 months ago. I was able to drive it 15 days. Now I’ve been in a rental 7 months and they’re threatening to sue me because they can’t get tabs or license plates for my vehicle. I’m paying on a car that sits. Vroom has done nothing. I have called a total of 126 times and been on the phone with Vroom for 112.4 hours total. Nothing has been solved. I’m suing. I make $566/hr now you’ll be paying me my hourly wage plus some, Vroom. DO NOT but from them. I beg you. Buy anywhere else online.
"We believe buying a car should be fun, easy and affordable..."
If you have ever experienced Vroom.com's customer service, and then you see their tagline you will either chuckle, roll on the floor laughing, or you will get very upset at the contrast between the two. My experience with Vroom.com is not different from the hundreds of reviews here, and the hundreds of thousands of people who had attempted to get a car from them. I applied twice for the same car, and after being approved by the bank they canceled the transaction twice! Now, I get a call from this guy who spoke perfect English (now mind you, I am an immigrant myself and English is my second language, but the guys at customer service, geez weez!) and told me "Oh I am sorry I am contacting you to let you know we are unable to continue with our deal" When I asked what was the reason this was his answer, I kid you not: "Oh I have no idea. I really don't know the reason but we can't carry out our deal" So, save your time and stick with Carvana or your local dealers, these guys at Vroom.com don't know their derriere from their elbow.
Buying was way longer than you say…
Buying was way longer than you say customer service is crap all they do is lie to you. Response time is terrible. Sold me a vehicle with no title then asked me to pay a missing title fee. Vehicle came unwashed dirty and needed several thousand dollars in repairs that I’m still fighting the company for. Including brakes, tires, front end suspension is shot and needs an alignment. Over a month went by from the time I placed the down payment to actually receiving the vehicle. I will never buy again and make all friends and family aware of the problems with this company! Buyers beware!!!
Horrible Customer Service
You may find that the vehicle you want is on Vroom. And you can't find the vehicle cheaper anywhere else. If this is you, just remember there is a reason why. DON'T DO IT!
Waited and waited and waited
Waited and waited and waited
Customer service was okay but then some aspects of it were terrible
Paying for things
Money comes out of bank but supposedly doesn’t clear on their end for a week
Then they send us out paper work with my last name completely wrong
While we had them sending us out revised contracts we are receiving emails stating that we have limited time to return items like jag our fault
A whole month goes by and finally they are ready to ship vehicle
Took almost 2 weeks just to get to hub and my wife and I just decided to pick up the vehicle our selfs because we’ve waited so long .
Finally got through that nightmare
And now they are sending more emails saying they need this and that for registration which should have been done a long time ago
Today I had some wheel shake on the highway so I figured hey I’ll look at it before I just wait a month giving it back
Pulled front driver side tire off and sway bar linkage is almost falling out because it’s missing a nut . Are you kidding me
We have son that is about to be born . Reason we bought a 4 door wrangler
If he and my wife were hurt due to y’all’s negligence I promise I would ruin yall
Safety should be a main factor is selling new used vehicles
We’re paying 60k for something falling apart . Shame on you. I owned a 91 Honda prelude that was in better shape Your business will eventually fail and I have no empathy on you .
Vroom had the car I was looking for
Vroom had the car I was looking for, but in hindsight I would've preferred haggling with local dealer. Vroom doesn't negotiate. I put money down when price dropped but the paper work was written up with the higher price. It took multiple calls for them to get it corrected. I asked where the car was physically located but didn't get an honest answer. Thought I could save shipping fee if it was fairly close. They repeatedly threatened to put the car back on the website even though the delay was completely their fault. I asked that the paperwork show what I had already paid but tooks weeks for that to happen and was told many times they don't list the down payment. Most of the people I talked to could barely speak English. I called customer service asking for a supervisor and was told more than once they don't have supervisors. I was told 3 different dates when the car would be delivered and it didn't come on the 3 dates. Instead I received a text it would be at my house in 30 minutes. Luckily I was home. The delivery driver didn't speak English and couldn't understand my questions. It arrived a filthy mess with low tire pressure and appeared like it had been sitting outside for a very long time completely neglected. There was little gas in the tank and more dents/scratches and flaws than listed on the website. Buying and receiving the car was a very frustrating and disappointing experience. Note to self-never again and tell others to avoid vroom.
DONT BUY OR SELL FROM/TO VROOM
The selling experience was absolutely hands down the worst. Customer service reps can’t or won’t update you. They say they will talk to their team and get back to you, which they never do. The car was picked up and it took two weeks before getting paid, not 2-3 days as advertised. They even advertised the vehicle for sale on the website way before sending payment and customer service told me they had no record of receiving the car, unorganized. Don’t be like me, Do your home work before doing any transaction with this company. You will find out they have been kicked out of the Better Business Bureau due to so many complaints, which they refuse to address and they have a lawsuit filed by the Texas Attorney General for deceptive business practices, 100% accurate. BUYERS AND SELLERS BEWARE, if you don’t you will be sorry.
