I have had two level 3 surveys done by Walker Dunn for two different housesand I would recommend them to anyone.
I found them to be really responsive when asking for a quote and getting the survey booked in. I got a text message to tell me the survey had gone ahead as planned on the day and had the first survey back in 3 days and my second survey was back in 2 days.
The surveys are the best i have ever had. They're really detailed which gives you the confidence to decide on the next steps for the property purchase.
They weren't the cheapest quote I got from surveyors but they are worth every penny. If i was to purchase another property i'll definitely be using Walker Dunn again.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone purchasing a house.

Brilliant thorough and accurate survey

All very easy to book but would have liked to been told a date before being asked to make a payment.

Very easy to organise survey. Approx a 3 week wait for an appointment, but it was during a very busy time in the summer. Report was very detailed; easy to understand and it was very clear in terms of points we needed to raise with the vendor; quotes to obtain etc. Report arrived less than 48 hrs after survey conducted. Very happy and would use again.

I didn’t have much faith in surveyors when I was trying to find a good one, but this company really surprised me. They completed the report within 3 days, and the Level 2 survey we requested was very detailed.
The price was also reasonable for what we got.

Happy with the fast responsive service, but for £700+ the illegible spelling mistakes on the report were totally unacceptable. Also under valued the expected valuation price after getting the total plot size 20m2 smaller than it actually is !

Fast efficient service and easy booking process

Dreadful, don't allow them access. Their surveyor got it so wrong. I bought off-plan as a new-build by Gleeson Homes in 2004. It is a well-maintained and presented apartment in a prestigious area. Incredibly, the Walker Dunn surveyor erroneously dated it as 1950s and listed all the possible faults that could be hidden in a 1950s building (e.g. asbestos!). She also stated the floors are suspended timber with tongue and groove floorboards, whereas the floors are actually screeded beam and block construction with laminate or carpet coverings. Unsurprisingly, my buyer pulled out as W&D refused to acknowledge, apologise to the buyer or me, or correct the errors after they had been brought to their attention. Unprofessional.

Straight forward very swift day I asked was day I booked was day I got the survey date -1 day earlier, quality, transparency and efficiency.

We paid full price for half a survey ! The person who did the survey said he couldn't inspect the roof due to it being 'dull' and 'overcast' although we were told they use 'binoculars' and a few other tools to assist. These days you could even use your phone to take a pic...then zoom in to see any faults needing repair. They advise us now to get someone else in to inspect the roof at extra cost to ourselves. When we paid them for this service. Not impressed!

We commissioned Walker Dunn to do a Level 3 survey on our behalf and their attention to detail was excellent, capturing all the issues that the property had together with photos and suggested remedies which was a massive benefit to us as it gave us that peace of mind, knowing what we were expecting with the property that we are purchasing.

Highly recommend these surveyors in carrying out the surveys for you and would most certainly use them again in the future.
