After Sales Problem.

After buying a guitar that I later found had a factory fault I contacted Waltons and spoke with Isabelle the manager that day.
They didn't have the same model bit with Tony's help and patience I left very satisfied.
Reccomend Waltons for service and after sales. 5*

A very positive experience

Went into there Blanchardstown branch today as I had an issue with tuning my guitar. Young guy was kind and very helpful. Had my guitar tuned in no time. Will definitly give them business if I need my guitar strings changed.

Tried to buy a Yamaha piano from them…

Tried to buy a Yamaha piano from them online. Purchased it ,as three were indicated as being in stock. Once it was being processed and they took my money I then bought a stand and other items from other retailers. Next day I received an email to say I was being refunded as they had none in stock ! There still says there are three in stock on the website ! And the other items I bought are on the way so I am stuck with them! Terrible, terrible online experience. Never again.

Honestly from a drummers perspective it…

Honestly from a drummers perspective it has absolutely nothing in the shop. Needed a hi hat clutch and a pair of sticks. They had about 7 pairs of sticks in the shop all the same size and they didn't have a hi hat clutch. Other times I've been in the shop looking for XLR cables and they had none left apparently. Absolute joke of a shop.

Bought a guitar pedal as a present

Bought a guitar pedal as a present. Almost a full week goes by and not one email confirming the delivery or tracking number. When I sent an email to support asking for an update, they tell me it’s out of stock. Took almost a full week just to tell me it’s out of stock and they’ll refund me. No wonder Irish music shops are closing all around the country, because they’re absolutely useless.
Shop at thomann or Gear4music instead.

**checked their website again 2 weeks after this happening and they still have the out of stock item for sale on it.

Brilliant customer service from start to finish

Brilliant customer service from Walton’s. We got in touch with Niall who provided outstanding support and advice. We were looking to get a small/travelling harp for our daughter. We knew the model we were looking for but had a couple of queries Niall helped us with. The harp we wanted to purchase was out of stock but Niall organised the order and shipping from France very quickly and efficiently as we were under pressure to get it. He reached out a couple of times with updates and the communication from the start of the process up to the delivery was absolutely perfect. I would 100% buy again from Walton’s and would definitely recommend this shop based on the support Niall and his team provided us. Delivery was free of charge and again, communication was brilliant. Eamonn arrived at the agreed time and ensured the harp was perfect before leaving. Fantastic customer experience overall.

Shite products

i asked for a amp cable and they didn’t even let me choose which one i wanted and they weren’t very friendly. They give you tiny little receipts so its easy to lose. the cable broke like a week later

I'm not the kind of guy to write a review but I feel I have to I drove all the way from Waterford today to buy a guitar with all i can say is the customer service was the worst I've ever seen wasn't once approached by staff I eventually asked they guy had no more interest in helping me ,second guy approached looked like he was hung over from last night which is not the customers fault ,I known waltons has great name but if they keep the staff they have they won't have a business, i came out of the shop rageing after driving for 2 half hours to get there ,I'll never return not hope looks fantastic when you walk in I was all excited but that quickly left my body ,
I went home spend 2k on line for my dream guitar

I went into the store to buy a guitar for my son i honestly haven't a clue about guitars but the man who was working there unfortunately I didn't get his name was excellent. He gave me great advice and could not have been more helpful. I will definitely go back

Lacking in quality and thought.

Bought an intermediate 3/4 violin for a child learning to play. Basic item. Seemed fine. Took it to class later, the violin is really terrible quality, bridge too high, tension too high, the strings are terrible quality, it's really hard for a child to play.
Bought the equivalent line from Thomann. Perfect.
Q: why even sell a child's violin that is too tough on little fingers? Did you not test it for purpose? You're happy selling really bad quality stock?

Avoid this Vendor

Since May 2024, I have emailed, called, and submitted via their website a return request over 4 times using each method. I inquired about information to return a Bodhran case that was the wrong size. I have not heard from back from Waltons. The phone number from the website is forever busy. This is horrible customer service and I do not encourage anyone to use this vendor, in case your run into a problem with your order and need to get a response from Walton’s.

Two online orders over 6 months - two complete fails

Two online orders over 6 months, the first item had not been in stock for years but is STILL advertised as being stocked to this day. Second order was shown as being in stock but after 5 days I get a text to say "sorry, that was the last one and it's broken". I'm getting a refund but for a company that has a rep for being a great shop their online store is a joke. 1000% never shopping there again.

Not for fiddlers

I was looking to buy a higher quality violin. 2k budget. Did my research online and called the store to confirm if the instruments that caught my attention were in the store before going there and test them.
Answer: in store but can’t test them.
Reason: rosin would deposit on the violin ( I guess cleaning is a lot of effort )
Dropping 2k on an instrument based on thrust. C’mon guys seriously? 😕

Online Shopping

I shopped online from this company to buy an exam book for my daughter who plays the violin at grade 8 level. When the book arrived, we realised the violin part was missing in the book. I sent an e-mail to their customer service, but received no answer. Later, following me sending them a WhatsApp message, a lady rang me and told me they checked all the books in the shop but none of them had a violin part. --- By the way, on the book cover it says 'for violin and piano' --- We wanted to see this for ourselves, so we took the fourty-five minute long journey to Waltons' Blanchardstown shop. The shop assistant understood us immediately. He told us we were right and he would change the book. However, he couldn't find another copy, so he said he couldn't refund the money but he could give us a gift card. We said we didn't need a gift card, we shopped for an exam book not for anything else. He told us there was no other option, so we had to accept the gift card. After this, I WhatsApped the customer service again asking for my money back, but no one texted me back. ----- I bought a book, which was delivered to me with a missing part. My daughter's exam was delayed because of this. I shopped for a book, but now I have a gift card. I want my money back but no-one is replying to me. I went to Blanchardstown from far away, which takes time and I spent money to solve the problem but I couldn't. I shopped online, and I'm having to chase Waltons for a problem they caused. I don't recommend anyone this shop.

After getting the run around from other…

After getting the run around from other companies I rang waltons store in blancherstown, as i was under terrible pressure to get a wireless microphone, I spoke with the shop manager ( his name was Graham)...simply brilliant, could not have been more helpful....I know where I will be shopping in the future
