My daughter used to have her accomodation in Dover Street Leicester since 24 where there was a bed issuses my daughter has had reported concerns number of times and there mangers offered sweet talk and false promises , Due to there actions my daughter had to sleep on the floor and at her mates house so may I ask why were we paying you rent !! also two mangers left there postion very quickly it really shows how Homes for students operates . I had struggled to get answers from the management for answers and previously I was offered £100 its a joke and doctors reports were furnished I did ask for all infomation in SAR some infomation was not disclosed they really need to think what they are doing rather then fobbing students
They are worth ZERO stars I suggest everyone who had issus to raise complains with PRS or submit a national code complaint online with ANUK

Bad management ,
I was promised to get a cash back of 400£ and everyone who joined with me got the cashback and I didn’t receive any, even though my booking agent told they entered the code the forge management team is not giving cash back it’s an unfair situation and it affects me a lot

We went for a viewing of the flats and were treated so kindly. The lady who showed us around seemed happy to be there which made me feel happy to be there :) she didn’t miss out any details and answered any questions so well- you could tell she knew what she was talking about. We decided to book next year accommodation that day and they were so speedy and helpful. Me, my friend, and my boyfriend really look forward to staying here!! The facilities are great and everything is clean but the staff members are the best part, they are so kind.

I am writing to follow up on some maintenance issues in our dormitory that have remained unresolved for an extended period.
The washing machine in our dormitory has been out of service for over a month, despite having been reported for repair.
Additionally, the toilet in Room D has had a malfunctioning flush system for the same duration, and no repair has been conducted so far.
Both issues have caused inconvenience to residents and require urgent attention. We kindly request that the necessary repairs be arranged as soon as possible.

I’m really disappointed with my experience at Maltings. I booked my accommodation early because they promised an assured cashback offer, which was a big reason for my decision. But now they’re refusing to give me the cashback, even though I met all the conditions.
As a student, this has a real financial impact on me, and it feels unfair to be misled like this. I’ve tried reaching out, but nothing has been resolved.

I trusted Maltings to honor their promises, but this experience has left me feeling let down. I hope they reconsider and fix this issue.

Sent in my guarantor information and they lost it

There was a a slight issue due to miss communication at the start, but all the management and staff team at the Lightfoot Hall were brilliant in bringing light in to the situation and was sorted smoothly and very quickly.

I booked an apartment and was not given even my initial deposit has not been refunded back and am very sad. both with the treatment of the staff very very rood. I put Apoolo Works as my initial address from my country only for the staff to reject my baggage from the airport and i have lost it with my dress and everything.
am so so disappointed. let me stop here. am heartbroken.

The corridor light isn’t working,bathroom taps are rusted, mirror light isn’t working.

Decent enough after 1 month staying at The Maltings, Colchester.

Affordable student accommodation with good cash back incentives. Rooms are decent enough quality and Internet speed is very fast.

Though, my bathroom does have mould and I did see a couple silverfish in the room at the start of term.

The Locks on our doors were changed with a very vague time frame and rooms left unlocked and unattended for hours at a time and not to the tenants knowledge.

Lack of organisation and postal system is slow and unorganised.

Following my experience as a new resident with Homes for Students, I have awarded one star specifically to the INCENTIVE PROCESSING TEAM who are responsible for processing cashback payments to students. The Incentive Processing Team do not have a contact number and despite emailing the team 3 times, no one replies. I can only assume that due to the volume of cashback payments the team must action, they do not have the staff to do so or time to reply to any emails. I finally received my cashback payment 6 weeks after the Incentive Processing Team stated that it would be paid. I would have understood if the Incentive Processing Team COMMUNICATED to claimants that there would be a delay in making payments and informed when the payment will be made. Having received no communication simply frustrated the matter. Homes For Students, please do better and improve for future students!

I cancelled my booking with them during their cooldown period, and after months of back and forth emails, they still haven't refunded my £99 deposit. Worst of all, they refuse to give me a phone number to contact them directly on. Stay away from this company! Do not rent from them, especially if you value your money. They're liars and thieves.

Staying in a property run by HomesforStudents and due to a mix up with rent I've paid twice meaning they owe me a refund of over £4000. That was due to be paid back to me 21 days ago and still nothing has has come through. Now the company has completely stopped communicating with myself and the reception team at the property so I'm going to have to get solicitor involved. Absolute crooks.

This place is a s-hole, I’m paying 2.5k a term for a room that has water damage, no heating and the security here is the worst. Do not come to any wearehomes places , most of the time the neighbour above you will be stomping around keeping you up past 1am - 8am

there’s is absolutely no organisation here, constant problems like flats having no heating or electricity or other serious problems that take ages to be fixed, mould in flats, rubbish not emptied for weeks. it seems whoever is in change has absolutely no care about the responsibility they have to their tenants, honestly so disappointed and disgusted about the overall maintenance of the accommodation. has been going on since i arrived
