FINALLY FREE

One would think that investing in a timeshare would be a beautiful, however it was a nightmare. Promises made and not fulfilled, along with so many other things. Julie from the very beginning has been incredibly helpful and supportive. She took the time to listen to our frustration, explain the process and answer all our questions.

If you want to get out the nightmare of your timeshare I highly recommend Wesley Financial group, especially JULIE!!
Thank you Julie and WFG for the successful cancellation.

They Say "Cancelled" — They Don't Say Who Actually Got It Done

We paid Wesley Financial Group to handle the cancellation negotiation with Hilton on our behalf. Their fee alone was about as much as our actual timeshare mortgage loan — and that's not what we got for it. Over more than a year, we were the ones making the phone calls, drafting talking points, and pushing things forward — while Wesley mostly sent us letter templates to sign our own name to.

What really concerns me is that some of those letters, sent to Hilton under our name, contained things that were flat-out untrue — a fabricated relocation story and a claim about contacting a foreign consulate that never happened. When we caught it, their own staff admitted in writing it was an error on their end. That's not a small mistake when it's going out as an official letter representing us.

We eventually resolved the timeshare mostly through our own persistence, not theirs. Wesley likes to point to the fact that the timeshare is now cancelled, as if that settles the matter — but they conveniently leave out how it actually got cancelled. It wasn't their negotiation that closed it out, it was ours. Pointing at the outcome while staying silent on who actually did the work isn't the same as earning credit for it.

When we went back to ask for a fair refund given how little of the promised service was actually delivered, Wesley would not own any of it. No accountability, just a token offer nowhere near reasonable.

We've now filed complaints with the BBB, the Tennessee Attorney General's office, the Washington State Attorney General's office, and the FTC. Do your research before signing with this company — you may end up doing the advocacy work yourself.

The agreement explains the responsibilities of both the client and Wesley Financial Group, including the importance of client participation throughout the resolution process. After reviewing your file, we can confirm that your concerns regarding the content of certain correspondence were addressed with you, as there was a mix-up with intake information. We are pleased to confirm that your timeshare has officially been canceled. Additionally, a member of our management team recently sent you an email detailing the resolution and available next steps. They will continue to communicate with you regarding these concerns via email, as requested. If you would like to speak our client services department, please reach out to (615) 560-7422.

Concise and effective.

Wesley spelled everything out from the get-go. They evaluated my case according to their process and let me know what they could do for me and what I needed to do. It took a bit over 5 months to release me from my timeshare obligation. In that time, they updated me as needed, and with very little effort on my side, I found myself free. I did enjoy the staff.

Paid $6,295, did the negotiating myself

UPDATE — response to Wesley's reply:

Your reply doesn't match what actually happened. The enrollment agreement outlines your obligations too, and you didn't fulfill them — the actual negotiation with the timeshare company was done entirely by me, not your team.

You mention a "team-based approach" where different specialists assist at different stages. What that actually meant for me was that my specialist stopped handling my case partway through, and I had no consistent point of contact carrying my file forward.

The timeshare being cancelled is not something your team accomplished. I made the calls, sent the emails, and repeatedly rewrote the letters your team drafted before sending them. The resolution happened because I negotiated it directly with Hilton myself.

None of this is addressed in your reply — you're not acknowledging any of what actually happened on your end.

================================

Paid $6,295 expecting Wesley to negotiate my timeshare cancellation for me. In reality, I made every phone call and did all the negotiating myself — they just sent me email templates to copy and send under my own name, some of which contained fabricated information about my personal situation that I had to catch and correct myself.

My case was reassigned to three different specialists over 16 months, each time starting from scratch. When the timeshare was finally cancelled, it was because of a letter I wrote myself, not anything Wesley did.

When I asked for a refund and documented these issues in writing, they refused twice without ever addressing the actual problem — that they never negotiated anything on my behalf. $6,295 for a handful of email drafts is not a real service. I've since filed formal complaints with the CFPB, BBB, two state Attorneys General, and the FTC.

The process was very quick

The process was very quick. Joseph Baron and the other representatives that I worked with were very professional and great and following up and providing updates regarding status of process. The cost of the services is less than my lifetime of maintenance fees that I would have had to pay for something that was not useful

Successful cancellation

We had owned a time share for a few decades, and their programs kept morphing as well as the maintenance fees that were going up and up. Wesley helped us cancel the program we had, and we are very thankful to not be weighted down/tied to the time share. Each person from Wesley was understanding and helpful, and Kim G. (our resolution specialist), was great at keeping things moving. We are feeling relieved and grateful.

Wesley Financial did exactly what they…

Wesley Financial did exactly what they said they would do. From beginning to end it took about three months for Wesley Financial to get us released from our contract that we had been a part of for over twenty years. After us supplying all the pertinent information to Wesley, they formulated the perfect letter to send to our timeshare. A few days later the timeshare sent us a letter agreeing to release us from our contract. Something we had been trying to do for about ten years! Within a few days of the initial contact, we had signed documents completely releasing us from our contract.
Everyone we dealt with was kind, understanding, and knew how to handle the specific timeshare we were dealing with. It was an easy and quick transaction. We wish we would have contacted Wesley Financial years ago!

DONT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!

We worked with Wesley for over a year with absolutely no movement what so ever. When an option of resale came up, they wouldn't even consider that option. And I struggled with that response. We just wanted to get out from under the timeshare burden. Well, come to find out if a timeshare is sold to a second party, and not retained back by the original timeshare co. ( ours was Hilton Grand Vacations) if the 2nd owner reaches out to Wesley to get rid of their timeshare... Wesley can't help them. They can only help original deed owners. So they are not looking out for your or my best interest, they are hoping to get another customer down the road... by getting timeshare company to take it's own timeshare back for free and reselling it as an original deed owner. ( hope I'm making sense) This is as big a scam as the timeshare companies themselves.
So I did research on my own and found a company that would sell my timeshare. We basically gave it away cause all we wanted was to get out from underneath it, which was made clear to Wesley!! It sold almost immediately, and a nice surprise was they got our 2026 hoa dues reimbursed to us... something we didn't even ask for! I called Wesley to tell them it was sold, and ask for a portion of our money back. I thought it was fair as they did work ( kind of) for a year. Now...if they would have exhausted all options to get rid of it for me, I would not have expected that, but because on more than 1 occassion, when I asked about selling it, Wesley immediately poo poo'ed it and wouldn't even entertain that option. After i sold our timeshare, I talked to a few different people in the company asking for a partial refund ( half, which for what they actually did was very generous) one of the reps...which I know totally agreed with me, tho he of course wouldn't outright say that. Anyway needless to say they refused to refund me anything because they said I broke the contract by going outside of them and not waiting the full 36 months of the contract, ( which would have meant 2 more years of paying HGV the HOA dues) even tho they... wouldn't even explore any options other then us sending emails to, I don't know how many different email address, with absolutely no responses from HGV.
And for the record, they really don't do anything. They formulate an email and give you the email address and you actually copy it and send it. They also gave us a couple phone numbers that no one manages or calls people back!! All of which you can do yourself and get no responses with out paying Wesley $6500.00 for nothing!!! DONT FALL FOR THEIR SCAM!! Save your money and do it yourself. It's cheaper to basically give it away then the frustration of using Wesley.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, Robin. We understand that seeking a resolution to a timeshare obligation is an important and often difficult decision. For this reason, client participation, responsibilities, and expectations are discussed before enrollment and reviewed during onboarding to help ensure that clients have a clear understanding of our services and the resolution process from the outset. We also encourage individuals to carefully consider all options and resources available to them when determining the best course of action for their individual circumstances. Every timeshare ownership is different, and we do not buy, rent, or sell timeshares. Factors such as the type of ownership, resort, financial circumstances, and other individual considerations may affect the resolution options that are available. Accordingly, our ability to assist and the potential exit options that may be appropriate differ. Overall, we are glad you were ultimately able to resolve your timeshare obligation. Our records indicate that you signed and agreed to our Enrollment Agreement on February 26, 2025. That agreement outlined the terms and conditions governing the services provided, including the duration of the program and the circumstances under which the agreement could be concluded. We value your feedback, have located your file, and forwarded your concerns to upper management for further review. If you would like to speak to a member of our team, please reach out to us directly.

We are unable to travel and couldn’t Use our timeshare any longer.

We are unable to travel and couldn’t use our timeshare any longer. However, we still had to pay maintenance fees which were getting very expensive. We contacted Wesley and contacted with them to help us. They kept us informed along the way and just this week they called and told us of their success. We are now free! Thank you!

Very Professional

The professionalism of Wesley Financial was absolutely the best. I was apprehensive at first, knowing that I would be the one making contacts, writing letters, etc. But Lavonne Bower was the greatest at coaching, answering questions and stepping me through the whole process. She always returned my calls and answered my emails. I thought the cost was a little high, but when I think about the continuously rising maintenance fees, I'm still much better off
