We moved the management of our properties in Dorking from another agent to White and Sons.
So glad we did this - Nicky our Property Manager and the team are highly organised, professional, friendly, and always onto it. Our tenants are getting a much better service and are much happier - we know we are in good hands and that any issues will be dealt with very quickly.

Staff always attentive, good Lettings team and accompanied me as we saw potential tenants, viewing. Office efficient, good turnaround time to queries . We have used Whites for years and would not change.

Hello everyone, I just wanted to leave a big shout out to James, Stephanie and team, they are an absolute asset to this White & Sons in Horley town branch. They were both patient & absolutely relentless in trying to find our dream house as well as helping us navigating throughout all the process from being to end. Highly recommend this team as they go above and beyond on their mission to fulfil your dream house quest, without any flaws, conducting all process with responsibility, integrity, encapsulating all results in nothing short of excellence. I rented out my 2 bedroom flat through white and sons Oxted. All in all it was a pretty stressful experience.

I paid nearly 700 pounds for the choice of 2 Tenants. The chap I choose turned out to be
a real pain. One payment in 12 months was on time, every little detail of the flat he was unhappy
with. It cost me ridiculous amounts of money with trade people fixing minor problems. I’m surprised he didn’t request a tradesperson to change a light bulb for him!

Fortunately the chap requested a 6 month break clause in his contract. I activated this exactly 6 months to the day, giving him 2 months notice.

I was informed by the agent at this time the market was very slow and it was unlikely I would find a new tenant.

As the 2 month mark approached the tenant was still there and showing no signs of leaving. Again informed by the agent the market was slow and I should consider keeping him on.

Eventually I got rid of the tenant, 5 months after serving notice. After repeated warnings of a slow market.

I felt like I was being played by both the agent and the tenant.

I was returned the keys 3 weeks after his final rent . Finally after getting back my property I found out he had a cat (which I wouldn’t have minded had Ibeen asked), found opened mail addressed to me,was given one less set of keys, and had 2 chairs taken from the flat. But he was gone. Albeit with a good reference from the agent.

My next move was to find a new tenant. I used openrent.co.uk. I had 8 viewing requests in the first 24 hours. Not such a slow market after all!

A team I felt confident to trust. Marketing materials were high quality and a purchaser soon identified. Our first sale fell through but within a day a new offer was received.

(From March 2022) Philip and the team in Dorking gave excellent advice and were very respectful and considerate in selling the house in Dorking during the pandemic. We were dealing long distance and they provided superb communication at every stage and proved themselves to be trustworthy throughout the entire process. They also have excellent local knowledge and a wonderful 'house staging' and photography team. I would recommend this firm.

Cedric and his team, at White & Sons, Leatherhead were a joy to work with during the sale of our home. Nothing was too much trouble for Cedric, he is very easy to work with and his is communication was prompt and efficient. Cedric's work ethic was unquestionable. White and Sons Horley have been excellent -from my very first meeting with James through to final exchange. All the Managers and staff James, Stephanie, Lucy and Rachel have been courteous reliable and professional. Selling a house can be stressful and frustrating at times but the team at Whites guided me through it.
