Zero stars for customer service
If I could give their customer service zero stars I would. Our expensive Witt Etna Rotante pizza oven had a fault whereby it didn’t ignite easily, sometimes not at all. This seems to be a common fault having read up recently.
We contacted Witt via their website online form, they said we needed to complete a form for their services department. I did that, submitted it, and no sooner had I done that I got a text to say DPD would collect our parcel for Let me repair. We raced around getting a box and packaging together that’d make sure the oven was secure. The oven was well packaged and we took pictures of the oven before and once it was packaged. The condition of the oven was like new when it was picked up by DPD on the 3 Sept 24. We received nothing from Witt or Let me Repair to confirm next steps etc and just had the confirmed pick up from DPD. We felt a little concerned given the cost of the item but we hoped everything would be ok.
Fast forward a week and we got confirmation that DPD were awaiting our let me repair parcel and they’d send us details once they had the parcel. Well the parcel was delivered in the same box we packaged it up in on the 11 Sept, and to say the box was in a terrible condition doesn’t really come close to describing its state. It looked battered, dirty, barely taped up, the braces we’d put on hanging off etc. We opened the box and we instantly saw the oven was damaged, completely battered down one side and scratched. That was the side we could see, we have no idea what the rest is like, we have kept it as it was in the box as didn’t want to risk any accusations. Fortunately we have doorbell footage of the box going, showing a well package item and footage of it returning in the manner it was. We also have photos of the oven prior to going, photos of it packed up to prove condition and now photos of the badly damaged oven as it has been returned to us.
I have since emailed Witt with pictures, I have requested someone call me on their online form and I have tried numerous times on the UK telephone number provided to get hold of someone to no avail. This is shocking customer service, from what appears on the surface to be a very stylish reputable brand. Do not use this brand, no matter how good the pizza oven is, the aftercare and customer service is the worst I’ve ever come across.
