Wood HR Recruitment doesn't understand talents CV's
I recently applied for the Data and Systems Coordinator position with Wood in Basra, Iraq, and I must say, my experience with their HR recruitment team was quite disappointing.
Initially, I was excited about the opportunity to join such a reputable company. However, after submitting my application, I received a generic rejection email that felt impersonal and lacked any constructive feedback. The message simply stated that my application did not meet the criteria for the position, but it offered no insights into what might have been lacking.
I understand that not every application can be successful, but a little more consideration in the communication would have gone a long way. It would have been helpful to know how my skills compared to their requirements or if there were specific areas I could improve upon for future applications.
Furthermore, the email mentioned that they would retain my details for future opportunities; however, I couldn't help but feel this was just a standard line with no real intent behind it. It would be more encouraging if there was a follow-up or a more personalized approach to candidates who were not selected.
Overall, my experience with Wood's recruitment process was lackluster and left me feeling undervalued as a candidate. I hope they can improve their communication and candidate engagement in the future.
