After a great booking experience with World Wide Vets I came to South Africa for the Kruger Vet Project from Livingstone Experience. It was absolutely amazing and I fell in love with the beautiful country, the nature, people and animals. We had such a cool program and gained hands on experience with so many big wild life animals. Have learned so much and made magical memories that last a lifetime. Incredibly thankfull for this trip!

I and my daughter of 20 went together so we could work hands on with wild animals.

We had a once in a lifetime experience. The opportunity to work with wild animals like baby baboons, vulture, warthogs, Giraffes, zebras and so many more.

All this in a safe place that you end up getting a family away from your home.

Thanks to Numsa who truely cares and is always ready to make food and also help with any item you may want to cook.

Thanks to Trust is another volunteer helper how is just amazing. He will guide, support and help to onboard you into this completely new world of working and creating something sustainable.

There are many more volunteers and helpers that you will end up working with that will make u want to come back again and again

I went on the Vet Visions trip June 2025 and it was unforgettable. Our group of volunteers got so close so fast, and Dani was an awesome coordinator. Throughout the trip we traveled from Harare to Bulawayo on an epic road trip to different sanctuaries throughout Zimbabwe. One of the coolest things we got to participate in was a lion transport at Chipangali Wildlife Orphanage. This included watching the lion be darted and all of us volunteers having different jobs to do once it was down (vaccinations, respiration rate, temperature, heart rate, etc). I won't ever forget the adrenaline and excitement of the whole process. Other things we got to do included animal husbandry and enrichment at every sanctuary, bush walks, safaris, rhino tracking, a community day, and more. We also got to go on a ride at Drummond Ranch which was not in the itinerary but all of us enjoyed so much!! If you are hoping to learn about a broad scope of veterinary fields definitely go on this trip.

My experience on Vet Visions was incredible! Dani - the project manager from Worldwide Vets facilitated a comfortable and welcoming environment from day 1, which gave me the confidence to jump right in when meeting people on the project with me, as well as when learning new things. Each location we visited had incredible staff (Noelle, Echoe, Jordan, Mikayla, Ryan, Mr/Mrs. Wilson, Cindy, David, Dimitri, Olivia, Baye, etc.) which made for the perfect learning environment and encouraged/planned life-changing experiences for us volunteers!

Had an amazing time at each location in Zimbabwe. Gained unique animal experience, along with veterinary. The staff were hospitable, the accommodations were beautiful, and the food was delicious! However, the lodging situation in Harare was a bit of a stress for me. Other than that, a truly memorable experience :)

The Perú vet internship was AMAZING! The people are awesome, I met some great lifelong friends. The food is great, the place is beautiful, the work can be tiring because is veryyy hot, but so fun and rewarding (I was there for three weeks and you acclimate to the weather!).

Just a heads up that the head vet is not very good at teaching, he won’t really explain things to you so do not be afraid to ask the assistants. They taught us pretty much the entire time and were AMAZING and passionate. The owner was also rude to staff and that made me pretty uncomfortable.

But overall the trip was great and I would 100% go back! Worth every cent!

Had the most amazing time in South Africa on the Kruger Wildlife Project. The activities were varied and the trips out on days off from conservation work were great! I made lovely new friends and learnt so much during the experience. The accommodation and food were good and our guide Beryl was amazing and I can’t wait to hopefully go back someday!

I spent two weeks volunteering in west Ukraine with Worldwide Vets. We operated a high volume spay/neuter clinic to combat the ever-growing dog and cat population in the country. It was naturally a very fast-paced and full-on two weeks, but Gemma (head vet) and the team kept a cool head and lead from the front when we found ourselves in challenging and new clinical situations. We were given a thorough safety brief when we first arrived so I always felt safe and in good hands. Our time in Ukraine was stressful and tough - we knew that would be the case considering we were working in a war zone! But Gemma and the team understood this and made sure we had downtime in the evenings, that all our meals were sorted and we had regular trips to the local supermarket to stock up on snacks etc. Very much recommend Worldwide Vets as an organisation!

I volunteered for one week at Free To Be Wild in Zimbabwe. Though we didn't do a lot of fancy veterinary procedures, we helped numerous orphaned animals, updated the infrastructure of the sanctuary, and socialized with orphaned baboons daily. The people were amazing. The animals were well cared for and all have the goal of eventual release.

I had the best two weeks of my life volunteering with @volunteerinafrica. All logistics were handed very well! I’m excited to go back again as soon as possible!! Worldwide vets provided a lot of support and information :)

I booked a 2 week experience with the Reptile Vet Project + my only regret is not booking longer. This team really cares about reptile education and teaching volunteers how to safely handle venomous snakes. As a vet student, my experience was specifically teetered towards my interests - so I spent ample time with the veterinarian in charge discussing cases + medical scenarios. There were also break days where you could rest in the house or go into town, on safaris, or on waterfall hikes. I highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in learning about reptile handling, wildlife medicine, or seeking a memorable adventure.

I recomend this for any vet interested in wildlife! The professionals are great and very helpfull, we get to have a lot of contact with the animals and learn about their behaviours, needs and routines. Great overall.

Amazing experience as a volunteer at RESQ (Pune).
The center is very well organised. Everyone is welcoming and kind. The team of vets is helpful and ready to support. The number of cases handled in the clinic is unbelievable (birds, monkeys, cattle, felines and more). The overall experience is highly recommended.

I did a four-week internship in Peru (RAREC). I had heard a lot about Worldwide Vets and the Internship in RAREC for Vet Students, so I decided to do this internship. The stay in RAREC was pretty nice. Especially because there are a lot of different students and other volunteers from other countries there and it's easy to make new friends. Unfortunately, I had hoped that we would be taught more medical content during our stay. That wasn't the case. The tasks were mainly limited to feeding and cleaning the enclosures. Wild animals are medically examined once or twice a week. Depending on how many other students are there at the time, you can help a little more or less. The food was pretty simple. There was bread for breakfast (it's best to buy the rest yourself), lunch and dinner always consisted of rice and either chicken or vegetables.

I really enjoyed my stay there because I knew very little about wild animals and especially about keeping animals in captivity. Now and then there were interesting lectures on the subject of wild animals, animal trade and zoonoses etc.

I particularly liked the organization and especially the many lovely and funny employees who were there. We were always treated with respect and the cooperation was exceptionally good.

For me the four weeks were absolutely enough to get to know the internship and I was happy to go home and see my family again.

I booked the Safari Stables ride at Murenje Eco Safaris through WWV and had the best time there! They were very responsive and helpful to explore different options and dates.

Throughout the whole process, from booking, to being picked up at the airport and throughout my stay at the sanctuary, everyone that I came into contact with was absolutely great! So helpful and supportive😁 the program itself was lovely and I had a great experience spending time with the staff, the animals and the other volunteers. A very smooth and well organized project😊 The only thing that I would recommend to other volunteers that wasn’t mentioned before is to make sure that the dollars you bring are printed within the last couple years (can’t remember the exact date, maybe 2013?) as anything before then is not accepted in Zimbabwe 😌

Life changing.
I am honestly not sure how else to describe my time working with worldwide vets and wild spirit vet in Africa. This trip gave me to opportunity to live out my dreams and showed me how much i belong doing that work. The places we stayed were beautiful (even the tents) and the animals we got to work with were even better.
It is still hard to put into words how much i have changed from this trip. The conservation and education that came with it was great too.
It inspired me to pursue a masters in conservation!
I would go back every year if i could

My experience was amazing, I learn a lot and gave me a great motivation to work and get involved more in wild life conversation. I did the Kruger Wildlife Project and everyone involved was very supportive and helpful. I met some very interesting and amazing people. I would definitely would do it again. The only thing I was a little sad is that I did tag WWV on some pictures and videos hoping I could have been future in their IG since I was so excited to be part of the community and project but I never got a response. Needless to said I will definitely be doing it again.

I learned so many things and I opened part of my heart that daily life try to hide, thank you to EVERYONE involved in this !!
