I have had a really good experience…
I have had a really good experience with this company. From the sales man coming to my house to give me a quote to the communication received about the installation date. Lee the fitter who was professional, polite and tidy. It was overall a very good experience. I had a new back door and two new front windows, which looks really nice and are excellent quality. I will be using this company again to install new windows to the rest of my house in the near future.

Judge a company by how they respond when things go wrong
I’ve always believed you shouldn’t judge a company purely on whether something goes wrong — mistakes happen. You should judge them on how they put things right.
Unfortunately, my experience with 1st Glass UK has been incredibly disappointing.
My composite front door was originally installed in November 2025. From day one, I had issues with the fitting and finish.
To their credit, somebody came back the following day to try to rectify the installation. Unfortunately, this didn’t resolve the issue with the door.
What followed has been nine months of chasing, missed promises and frustration.
After speaking to numerous people, I was eventually passed to Andy, the Operations Director. At that point, I genuinely thought things would finally be dealt with properly.
A replacement door slab was ordered and a new installation date arranged.
That date came and went.
I had to chase repeatedly to find out what was happening. I was promised calls back on numerous occasions that simply never came.
Eventually, I managed to speak to Andy again and was told that the replacement door had somehow been “misplaced”, so another one had to be ordered.
Another installation date was agreed.
That date also came and went.
Eventually, in August 2026 — around nine months after the original installation — the replacement door was finally fitted.
You would hope that would be the end of it.
Unfortunately, I am now once again waiting for a promised call back from Andy, this time to discuss compensation for the considerable amount of my time that has been wasted dealing with an issue that should never have taken nine months to resolve.
My frustration isn't simply that there was a problem with the original installation. Things can go wrong.
It is the constant chasing, missed appointments, promised phone calls that never happened and the apparent lack of ownership that has made this experience so disappointing.
When an issue reaches the Operations Director of a company, you would expect communication and accountability to improve. Sadly, in my experience, it didn't.
After nine months, I shouldn't still be the person doing the chasing.
A company’s reputation isn’t built when everything goes perfectly. It’s built by how they treat their customers when something goes wrong.
Based on my experience, 1st Glass UK have fallen well short of the standard I would expect.

We are sorry to hear this especially as the first door we installed had the tiniest scratch on it but as promised we tried to fix the issue first with our service call engineer and then by ordering a new slab at your request.
You was kind enough to say to us that your happy for us to come install the slab when we are back in the area, unfortunately complications with the new slab arose so we wasn't able to install it as stated.
The phone call we just had off of you and in your own words was "how much are you going to pay me to go away" so i would suggest after numerous calls of trying to get the door sorted and missed calls it was always about the compensation, as you know we don't offer compensation we offer to not stop until the situation/issues has been put right which is exactly what we have done.
We are happy to hear you are now completely happy with the door and we would like to thank you for your patience throughout.

I had very old windows in bad shape
I had very old windows in bad shape, so I decided to go with 1st Glass, and the guys did an amazing job. They installed very nice, new windows of very high quality. Installation took about 5 hours or so and was fairly quick process.
Very good service and high quality form the staff and team on the installation day.

I found an advertisement on facebook . For 1st glass uk . So left my details . Then was contacted by the sales rep mo who was so helpful and explained everything to us in great detail . Which was reassuring . We had 3 windows and a door and side panel door fitted today by nassar and Qasim . They were both very friendly and got straight on with the job . They were very quick /efficient/ tidy . And the quality of finish was superb . Cant fault there efforts will definately use them again . Sharon .

Beautiful front door
This company is great, we had a couple other companies come out prior and we’re trying to sell us everything we didn’t want, first glass came and we told them exactly what we wanted and it was all straight forward and exactly what we wanted. Chris and Anthony were the men who installed our new front door and have done a wonderful job, they installed the door and cleaned everywhere when they were finished ensuring nothing was left behind for us to clean. They explained about what to do and what not to do with the front door once they were finished installing it. The front door is perfect, we are so grateful for the easy process, Thankyou so much!

This is are second dealing with 1st Glass and this installation of a new back door went just as smooth as our lsst window installation.Anthony the fitter arrived on time and was very pplite and prffessional throughout and did an exellect job.
