I have used 1st Movers several times now and each time they have been professional, efficient and courteous. Definitely recommend them!

I previously used 1st Movers for a work relocation from King's Lynn to Tain a few years ago (which went perfectly to plan), so when a new job opportunity required me to move to the Central Belt, i instantly got in touch.

1st Movers were able to book my move out date months in advance, and even change the final date to accomodate last minute changes with my notice periods. Communication was always swift and decisive!

The delivery driver (Joe) was highly professional, and was able to get my stuff out of the old house in record time (45 mins). He definitely made what should have been a highly stressful occasion, a much more relaxed one!

I'll definitely continue to use 1st Movers, for where ever my career locations take me, and i can't recommend them enough!

We moved from Danderhall to Edinburgh city centre, and despite the uncertainty in dates and many other details required, the agent was very accommodating and reassuring and was with us every step of the way to cater to our flexibility. They helped me move from Edinburgh to Cambridge. The company was able to pick up my belongings from a storage unit the night before, and I had my belongings the afternoon I moved in. The mover was super sweet, helpful, and time-efficient.

From booking our appointment to the day of moving I was extremely impressed with the good level of communication. The removal team were excellent and had to cope when the lift broke as we moved in, managing to carry everything up five flights without any damage at all.

Edna, who helped me through the entire moving process, was really friendly and responsive at all times. The two movers who came to help us made the moving process an ease up to a top floor flat with no lift! Would definitely recommend and use again if needed.

These guys were amazing! Such a smooth move with absolute gents. Had to deal with 3 flights down and 3 flights up (with no lift), moving the contents of our flat. They did it with style and with time to spare. We'll certainly be using you again. Cheers lads!

1st Movers have provided us with an excellent service for our move within Glasgow this week. This is the second time we have hired 1st Movers this year, having had an ideal experience with them in June when we moved from London to Glasgow. This time round was equally as good. Sarah and Marina were helpful and responsive with the initial booking and the subsequent changes we requested. The drivers did a good job of transporting our goods safely and quickly. We contacted 1st Movers to help move our daughter into her halls for first year at Edinburgh Uni. The driver went over and beyond our expectations. He was so helpful and navigated all other cars dropping off to ensure we were dropped off closeby and could access the right entrance. A brilliant experience and a total pleasure dealing with Sarah all the way through to drop off and follow up.

Hmm, maybe things go ok with 1st movers IF you are moving within Edinburgh or to that city.

We were moving Darlington to Aberdeen. Perhaps that is why we got the D team. The main mover showed up without door wedges or Allen keys, after I had asked 1st movers about this. I had to text him a reminder to bring Allen keys when we arrived in Aberdeen. The second mover, ironically more careful, was a young tourist.

This team was neither professional nor experienced though, and there was rough handling. Worst was when they took a 100 year old display cabinet through the front door, no cloths used, and glass side facing the door handle. The glass smashed and there was some wood damage. They replaced the glass but nothing was done about the notable damage to the wood; I can't use it now. This was a family heirloom that some years ago was moved from Canada without problems!

After complaining to them, their "trainee operator" Sarah said she would speak to the "relevant colleague". That was ten days ago and I haven't heard a word. The customer service stopped when they got my full payment.

Honestly, a man with a van could have done better for a much better price. I have moved a few times and this was the worst experience ever. It may be removal staff shortages; but in the end, you don't know who you will get with this company to move your possessions.
