First impressions matter, and unfortunately, 206 fell short in that regard with the account representative who handled the tour. She came across as impersonal and not very friendly, which made me hesitant to ask questions. At times, it even felt like I wasn’t being treated as a valued customer.

Looking back, I think I’m more disappointed about the customer service I received, and I wish it had felt more personal and supportive.

The trip itself was action-packed — as expected, there was a lot of walking. Since this was my first pilgrimage, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. While it was enriching to visit so many sacred sites, I didn’t feel I had enough quiet moments to truly pray or reflect. I don’t place that entirely on 206 Tours. October was close to the end of the Jubilee year, so there was a big influx of pilgrims from many different countries. With that many people, it’s understandable that things felt a bit rushed.

We also changed tour guides three times, which may have led to some miscommunication and a lack of consistency throughout the trip. It would’ve been nice to have one steady guide to provide continuity and spiritual leadership.

We stayed in four different hotels. The first one was fabulous, but the quality went downhill after that. At the second hotel, I was placed in an accessible room with a bathroom that was uncomfortably high, and since I shared a room, we were only given one key, which was inconvenient. The third hotel was extremely small — really cramped — though the fourth one was much better.

Overall, I’m grateful for the experience and the opportunity to visit so many sacred places.

I say buyer beware of their deposit and refund policy. If you cancel your trip with them even with months in advance, they will not refund your deposit of $500 per person. Worse yet, they will tell you that you should have bought a cancellation insurance at the cost of $500 per person also. So basically whatever your deposit they keep! That is such an illegal way of scamming people of their hard earned money. And to think this is a religious tour with little empty to their customers.

The other party who paid is my sister!! The tour was for our family of 3. This tour company very well know I’m part of their prospective traveler. Just because the payment came from my Sister doesn’t mean no one else in our family paid for it and we cannot complain. They offered another future trip - for additional funds also! Money money money!

Anyway, buyer beware of their dubious refund policy.

My husband and I were impressed with the organization, professionals, hotels (with one exception), and itinerary of our Pilgrimage. Fr. Victor, Sa'id, and Loreto went overboard in providing a fun and memorable experience in Italy. There was one older hotel in Assisi that was outdated with a poor breakfast buffet and less than average dinners. If we do another Pilgrimage we would definitely use 206 tours again. It was worth it!

My wife and I booked a tour in good faith and 206 cancelled it! Despite the cancellation on their end, they refused to refund our deposits. Worse yet, we spent an additional $356 on "cancellation insurance" only to find out that if the 206 Tours cancels, that this is not covered. So we've lost of deposit and the money we spent for "cancellation insurance"... all because of 206 blunders and through no fault of our own. Recommend you just do a tour on your own...at least you know what you are getting. At the very least, go with a reputable company. I know, of course, that some folks have had good experiences. That's easy when all goes well, but the real test of a company's reputation is when things get thorny. Do NOT trust 206 Tours to be honest, fair or transparent with you!

Update: Following this post, I was contacted by 206 Tours to say that my multiple interactions with their staff had consistently provided me with erroneous information and that I would be given a full refund. So glad I persevered!

A quality organization. Trip to Italy All Italian Shrines Pilgrimage was as advertised. Well planned, guides were knowledgeable. We felt safe and looked after. While days were all planned there was free time built in as well. All hotels, transportation was taken care of. Saw way more of Italy than we could have on our own. Our guide Federica was wonderful.

After much research by my children, we decided on 206 Tours #47 European Pilgrimage Oct. 16 - 28th 2022. I am 84 and we (3 adult children and myself) were hesitant about my being able to keep up. Though the trip was certainly challenging walking 2-3 miles daily, all was well. Our accommodations were excellent (bus rides, hotels, meals etc.). We knew the details of each day's Itinerary well in advance enabling up to prepare properly. Our guide, Leo, was available at all times, his directions were precise, he was truly knowledgeable, and always sure any needs we might have were met. This trip was truly "the best trip of my lifetime". Each day was full of beauty and adventure. Anne Houghton

We returned from a 10 day trip to the Holy Land and 206 Tours handled it fantastically! They are the Industry Standard!! Our tour guide, Giovanni, was knowledgeable, funny, caring, helpful, and flexible. Our hotels in Tel Aviv, Magdala and Jerusalem were beautiful, clean and close to all the sights. Our meals were so delicious. Our side excusions were varied and exciting: from riding camels to floating on the Dead Sea to being baptized again in the Jordan to walking the Via Dolorosa at dawn with high Holy Mass at the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre, the holiest place on earth. Daily Mass and the fellowship of other Catholics made this a truly memorable and spectacular once in a lifetime memory. Thank you 206 Tours!!!
