Absolutely shocking service. Rude staff constant delays and misinformation. Made me jump through hoops when I already pay my mortgage to them and have done for several years. Didn't Staff advise me ways that they would let me borrow extra kept it from me had an independent broker not told me I would still be without a solution. Look down their nose on you and treat you like your nothing. As soon as my fixed term is up I'm leaving. Told me the Solicitor I wanted to use was fine to then tell me no they are notm have had to give them same information multiple times to then be asked for it again. Never leave bad reviews but I'm beyond annoyed.

In all my adult years and many mortgages and remortgages I’ve never had such a nightmare experience as we did with accord. 20 weeks it took to finalise our remortgage. What should have been straight forward was the most stressful. Asked for around 35 pieces of documentation. 7-14 days to review each piece, followed by another request. Sometimes duplicated. No direct communication, no reasoning. We went 2 months into our high interest because of their ridiculous requests.
I never defaulted, I earn well, had good loan to value, had used accord before but still put through the wringer. Don’t do it to yourself is my advice.

Awful service, I don’t recommend at all. I’ve been a customer for over 5 years and recently changed to a tracker mortgage. BOE cut rates 8th May this 0.25% was passed on 8th June, BOE cut rates 7th August this was passed on 14th September! I raise a complaint and after 2 months wait they denied my complaint, they said I have to request the change in rate? I said I don’t want to change the payment amount, just the rate should be changed at the start of the following month, e.g. 1st June & 1st September. They agreed that is there policy, I said can you back date then? They said no you have to request a recalculation, I said I’m talking about the interest rate, not the payment amount… the complaint handler Stacey said I feel like we are going round in circles, I’m going to deny your complaint?! But agreed that the policy is to implement the rate change at the beginning of the following month?! Clueless. I will be raising this with the financial ombudsman. You don’t know what you’re doing!

What concerns me is that every other lender applies this change from the 1st Day of the following month, as good practice. I also don’t accept that Accord have taken my complaint seriously, after I have been a good customer for a long period. To make this right, Accord could and should have just backdated each change to the 1st day of each month, I would have accepted that and financially it is not a large amount, it’s about fairness and good practice, on how to treat your customers. Enjoy the money, as soon as my fix is up I’ll be off to a decent lender. There is no consistency when one rate change take 1 Calendar month and another takes 5 weeks??

Completion date was missed, underwriting error. Blamed it on keying; however, we had the original application downloaded, and it was keyed correctly.

The telephone help desk is generally rude.

Common Sense lending at its best. After talking through the case with the BDM Jordan, it was quickly escalated to an Underwriter to get their view, giving the clients and I huge confidence that this is a case that can be considered. Once the application was in, Jordan once again supported with any questions and an Offer was produced. The clients have fulfilled a life time dream of owning their own home after years of renting and given them and their family the security they craved.

Accord were very responsive to changes for a Clients Mortgage as the rates had reduced and managed to turn things around very quickly to ensure the client was able to move in on the agreed date

As a New Build Broker, I need to be able to trust lenders that offer speed and flexibility for my clients. I get both of these from Accord and so I more than happy to keep using them for my clients that need their service. Well done.
