Is this a scam site? They have taken my money, not delivered the goods and are now not replying to my emails!

Paid for recycling and was told this morning that they had contacted the driver regarding installation for extra £30 which I paid and received email confirmation that it will be done. Driver took old machine and while I was in kitchen he drove off without installing new machine. Phoned AW customer support spoke to so called manager who told me they can’t come back until 26th!!! He was very rude and condescending with couldn’t care less attitude. Still waiting for refund so can find another installer, Not a good first time experience with them and definitely won’t buy anything else from this company.

I ordered a Haier integrated washer/dryer, paid for delivery and installation.
It took 6 weeks to arrive as someone forgot to order it.
Within a couple of weeks, it started to vibrate when spinning.
It turns out they’d fitted it Ona couple of old pieces of wood which were disintegrating.
They refused to come back to fix it, were rude on the phone.
I had to pay an engineer to fit it properly.
Over the years, I’ve bought several appliances from this company and recommended them to others.
I will never go near them again.

Terrible company, I ordered a dishwasher and it came damaged, they sent another one two weeks later and it was also damaged. I just received a third one, they installed it and it doesn’t work. They says they will send an engineer out to look at it. The customer service agents are rude. I hope to receive a refund as I du not want to deal with this company any longer. Avoid at all costs!!!!

The worst supplier. They lie and cheat. They sold me a used hob and despite myself informing them of this within 24hours. They are shifting the blame onto me saying I used the product. How on earth could I receive it, became an electrician, hook up the hob, use it and then packed it up and sent it off to them within 24hours is a remarkable statement.

Anyways the hob was sent back to them using my a third party delivery service. Apparently their manager’s inspected it and regarded it as used.

Now they are refusing to give me back my refund and have kept the product. AVOID this company. And to top it off they have very poor customer service.

Anyways I got my money back so I don’t really care what they have to say but this is a fair warning to all new potential buyers that intend to purchase from this crooked supplier. You’ve been warned. 🤷🏻‍♂️ AVOID THEM.

Don’t ever use this company. They sent me an item I didn’t order, took the one I ordered down from their web site and told me lies! I just hope they do collect Tuesday and issue me refund!

Ordered an integrated dishwasher online, but stupidly ordered the wrong size . Rang up customer services, mistake was dealt with quickly and was charged to new size early with no messing. Whole experience was so easy and quick.

Ordered. Bosch washing machine delivered the next day great delivery and service from A.W what a super machine and from past experience I know A.W will respond just as quick if there is a problem, they fitted a new boiler copper pipes and radiators one or two problems Appliance World were back the next day and this is ware there service to the customer as proved they pride them selves in customer satisfaction I have bought a neff oven and top why go any ware else they have been in buisiness over 30 years company’s like this are no ware to be found when the customer as a problem and concerned they respond and that’s all we ask they correct the fault.I also have my boiler serviced by them.

This afternoon I went into your Urmston showrooms I buy appliances for myself and also for rental properties and for several years now have ordered from a major online supplier who has always provided an excellent service . When I first went into the showrooms today the assistant was busy talking with a customer so naturally I waited quite a while until the assistant was free.I was asking about the cookers that were available and he said "I shall check stock for you now". At which point another customer walked through the door and this assistant immediately attended to his query despite the fact that the customer pointed out that he did not want to "queue jump" and was clearly embarrassed at the rudeness of this assistant. The assistant said "It's ok then totally ignored me and I was left waiting again. After waiting a considerable time without any communication whatsoever I decided to leave the store.Potentially, that rudeness has lost Appliance World the opportunity of my future business. I had wanted to "support local shops in these difficult times" but if this is the standard of customer care I shall certainly not be placing my future business with you.online

I ordered a candy washing machine....it was delivered yesterday 27.5.2024
By tw foreign men...i could not understand a word they said
after a about one hour i managed to get them to install and take the old one away. they semed not to know what or if they should have been doing this....I paid alliance world £96 to do this not peanuts
I would never have used them if i knew they were going to sub contract to people that dont speak english.....dont use this firm...i am just recovering from an heart operation...stress not good for me.
i told them this...its always the same with these firms in this country now a days....grab your money very poor service when delivering goods most of the call centres are in
cape town or some such place.

Integrated fridge-freezer ordered 19.1.24 & delivered at my convenience on 25.1.24. Great service & advice from both the Salford & Urmston staff - Steve in sales & Perry in Urmston shop. Appliance delivery was seamless with good notice. Great fitting team - Nick with assistant Ash. All staff helpful, friendly & polite. Very pleased with whole experience & would highly recommend Appliance World at these locations.

Ordered a dishwasher before i went on holiday after i got back and 3 odd weeks later attempting to fit it i realised it was an integrated one not the free standing that i had intended. I rang up and asked if i order the correct one from them could they have this one back still unopened in the box. I got one worded responses basically say no as it’s been longer than 14 days. The level of customer service is disgusting. I was willing to buy a more expensive machine and had intended to buy a washing machine, tumble dryer and American style fridge freezer. Needles to say i will never buy from Appliances World again. I had intended to buy from them for my refurb contracts but not any longer and have told all my friends in the trades and family of my experience. By being awkward over a £250 dish washer you’ve lost out on £1000s worth of future sales. Glad these decision making managers don’t work for me.

Went to Appliance World store in Urmston with my wife last week to purchase a Hotpoint Cooker. The service & advice from Perry & his team was excellent. Great in-store range to choose from competitive prices.
Delivered on Tuesday by installer very quick & efficient. Very pleased.

i was delighted with purchase it was the exact model i ordered and only had to wait a couple of days to come back in stock
But installation i found very poor
the engineers appeared to be clueless in a assembling item and they scuffed top of cooker taking up only one set of stairs
i paid out good money for the purchase i expected good service from them too
apart from that i was happy
but not ecstatic by any means

Excellent service from start to finish. Within ten minutes of placing the order, I had a call to arrange delivery, which was within two days. Divert driver was a happy foil and very polite. Well done to all A***

Shocking Service where the Regional Manager Dion makes excuses for incompetent staff and runs down the Defy company, blaming them fo poor service. We simply don’t get clear answers on technician appointments. We get told a technician has the parts and will be there on a certain date and they don’t pitch. When this happens they blame Defy for giving them wrong information. When we complain that it is has taken 2 weeks to get someone to us, they say that two weeks is not a long time in this day and age. We bake for orders and this is our livelihood. Note that this is a brand new oven - 6 months old. The service lady from the Hermanus stores keeps phoning with her “ follow up” to say she has no news. She delivers zero follow up and clearly has communication issues. No training? What’s even more scary is the complete apathy of the leader.

Initially got a competative price for our cooker. It was delivered within two weeks of order, fitted and the old unit removed. All work done in a first class manner.

Months after our complaint and their refusal to accept responsibility we received a cheque as compensation. There was no letter of apology or explanation which I found disgusting bearing in mind what had happened, a leaking gas cooker which could have blown up our house or killed us.
Just glad to have the matter finished and will never deal with them ever again.

Long wait for item to come into stock. Best price anywhere. Excellent delivery information. Delivery time updated on the day by driver. Driver pleasant and helpful.

I suddenly needed a particular model of Liebherr refrigerator on Friday18th December, which I thought what with Covid, Brexit & Christmas might be very difficult, but I found exactly what we needed on Appliance World, phoned them and spoke with an incredibly helpful young lady, who said that they had stock, so when I fearfully asked about delivery costs & gave her my post code, she said it was free, and could be delivered on the 22nd. And today it was indeed delivered exactly as promised, the the most extraordinarily helpful delivery driver, who actually brought into the house, and put it down exactly where i wanted it, and then he also gave me some good advice on when to switch it on!! Absolutely fabulous service!
