Can't fault the service

Can't fault the service. The tracking information was a little sketchy and my delivery didn't arrive until quite late on, nearly 7pm, but the order process was smooth and delivery did occur on the chosen date. The delivery driver was the nicest guy as well, couldn't have been more polite and courteous. Would gladly deal with them again.

Great communications update with Appliance World in terms of confirmation of purchase, delivery schedule and timeslot update on the delivery day. Delivery driver was also very helpful and efficient.

Repeated address errors and £40 fee – very concerning experience

I had a very frustrating experience with this company.

I placed an order for a washing machine and carefully entered my correct delivery address at checkout. In the confirmation email, however, the address appeared incorrectly (wrong city/postcode), along with a warning that incorrect addresses would incur a £40 fee.

When I contacted customer service, I was told it was too late to amend and had to pay the fee. I did so, this time using PayPal to ensure my address was automatically correct and verified. Despite this, the confirmation again showed an incorrect city.

At this point, it’s difficult to understand how this can be attributed solely to customer error, especially as the issue occurred across different payment methods.

Customer service maintained that the fault was mine and declined to refund the fee.

I have since noticed similar experiences reported by other customers, which raises further concerns.

I would advise others to double-check their confirmation emails very carefully, as any discrepancy may result in additional charges.

Or avoid buying from them altogether!

We’re sorry to read your review, but we do need to clarify the facts.

As confirmed during our recorded call with you, the postcode on the order confirmation was not checked after the order was placed. The details we receive are exactly those submitted at checkout—our system does not alter or amend customer address information in any way.

In cases where Apple Pay or PayPal are used, the address is pulled directly from the payment method’s saved details. If incorrect information is stored there, it will be passed through to the order unless manually reviewed and amended before confirming the purchase. This can also be the case when using Shopify websites to make purchases.

We appreciate this situation has been frustrating; however, the failed delivery fee was applied in line with our policy, as the delivery could not be completed due to the incorrect address provided and at no fault of our own.

We always advise customers to carefully check their order confirmation details to ensure everything is correct prior to dispatch, and our team is available to assist before this stage if any amendments are needed.

Appalling service.

I ordered a washing machine and selected a delivery date. Waited all day at home for delivery and had several email and text notifications with delivery slot and time. Nothing arrived.
Called the shop the next day and they told me it was not in stock and was never going to be delivered. Absolutely appalling service.

From initial enquiry by phone and online very easy to deal with. Good communication from the company from order confirmation to delivery time and date. The delivery team were on time and delivered to where I wanted. As I was replacing a 33 year AEG freezer and it had to fit in the same built in cabinet , so dimensions were critical. It fitted 😀 . I didn’t know that AEG is part of the Electrolux group, will it be as good as the last one and run for 30+ years, who knows but 🤞🤞🤞. But I’d use Appliance Online again. Thanks

Not a great experience with my first Appliance World product

Appliance World were the cheapest price at the time who had a good TrustPilot score, so I choose to go with them for the first time. Unfortunately, my experience was not great from the perspective of the goods received. The appliance arrived on time and well packaged. Unfortunately the plastic and polyester wrapping were hiding two dints on the product. One quite bad one at the side and one at the front. As it was an integrated washing machine, I decided to persist with it, given the hassle that there may have been to exchange it. I managed to straighten the front dint out to allow mounting the furniture door and the dishwasher works OK. However, given I'd paid £650 and the flat spanner for installation was also missing, I think it's a poor effort. One pays good money to reduce, not increase, stress.

I’m sorry to hear you weren’t fully satisfied with your experience. That said, we’ve checked our records and we didn’t receive any contact from you regarding damage or missing parts. If we’re not made aware of an issue, we don’t have the opportunity to put things right.

All of our appliances are brand new and supplied in the manufacturer’s original packaging unless clearly stated otherwise, so this isn’t the standard we expect.

If damage is reported to us, we can look to resolve this—whether that’s a replacement, parts, or another suitable solution. The same applies to missing accessories like the spanner you mentioned. We would also advise that attempting to repair or modify the appliance yourself can invalidate the manufacturer’s warranty, so it’s always best to contact us first.

Although some time has now passed, if you’d still like us to look into this for you, please get in touch with your order details and we’ll see what we can do.

AW perform every time

Initial visit to the store was not successful. Although I made a mistake with the manufacturers name, the assistant was not able to help with an alternative even though I described exactly what I was looking for. As I have only ever had good experiences with Appliance World in the past I was not giving up and called back (phone) and spoke to another assistant who did help and I placed my order.

Good Service

Always a bit of a lottery ordering online but our experience with Appliance World Online was excellent. Ordering was easy enough for two oldies like us and we were kept informed by email and text about how our order was progressing. On delivery day we got regular texts on progress and the delivery driver arrived on time. He was courteous, helpful and friendly. Delivery was quick and efficient, and he installed the fridge-freezer for us, as well as taking away the old fridge, along with all of the packaging. An excellent experience and the unit is working well. Thank-you.

Appliance World is my 'go to' supplier!

I am a regular customer because the service, choice and prices are excellent. I ordered on a Sunday evening and was offered next day delivery. Every detail was taken into account for a flawless free delivery, including accurate delivery time. This started with a 2 hour window and was gradually narrowed down to a specific time on the day of delivery with accurate on-line tracking and push notifications by SMS and eMail. Old appliance removed for a very fare fee, likewise for unpacking and installation.

Absolutely brilliant service from ordering online to my delivery i love my new fridge freezer the delivery men was so helpful and so tidy and very quick delivery aswell they kept me updated with delivery and times they would arrive at a brilliant service this is the best place to shop that i have ever ordered from I have had a washing machine from here aswell years ago and it still working I have never had to have it fixed either and it 10 years old and still in good working order
