A very deceitful company , refused to refund over £200 worth of electricity credit , said it was company policy once it was not on the card ... however they can put credit back on card anytime they need to move a boat from it's mooring ...

The kings Bromley team were brilliant in accommodating a last minute, and emergence request to moor overnight, during the bank holiday weekend. Allowing us to charge our batteries after our domestic alternator failed.

Aquavista Boat Sales
Aquavista Boat Sales. It took two weeks to get a response after I first contacted them. And then only after calling their main office. Consistently unresponsive or they just send Docusign documents for signature without any explanation or discussion. Little advice on boat selling procedure. Due to the canal closures I had no option but to use them. Shop around - there are plenty better!

Kings bromley marina staff have been wonderful . They are very knowledgeable even about outside services so have been a pleasure to do business with. Nothing is too much trouble and they are very hardworking.

Substandard facilities, gaslighting and poor security
I paid up front for a year in Castle Marina. I feel ripped off.
While the residents were kind, decent people the marina itself had a lot of problems. Massive gulf between Aquavista's glossy marketing and what it delivered. The problems, while local, seem to be rooted in the overall culture of the business. I expect their other marinas will be affected too.
- Cold showers for weeks, even when it was -7 outside. People complained - the marina blamed its customers for showering too much. Possibly the first time in the 250-year history of canals that boaters were accused of being too clean.
- Inadequate "temporary" domestic washers that often stop mid-cycle until you go beg the office for an extra token. Manager declined to fix this as AV had subcontracted it to a third party (er no, that doesn't prevent responsibility to ensure your advertised service is supplied)
- Far from "tranquil" - it's been a noisy, mucky building site the last couple of months
- Boats rushed onto an unfinished new pontoon. No water supply on it for 5+ days, a floor panel left up and worryingly little safety gear
- ...and trapped on it for days because the manager thought submerged debris had been discovered (didn't they check first?!?). If someone fell off a boat onto debris or punctured their hull on it, that could have been lethal.
- AV's area manager had the nerve to tell me this was for our *benefit*. I assure you, the people whose boats were trapped on a pontoon with no running water don't feel like it.
- Moorers told to attend the office in person on Dec 23rd to collect letters - under the gaze of the manager - detailing for many a huge fee increase. Demeaning, insensitive and it must have ruined a few Christamases.
- Many narrowboats forced to moor on wobbly fingers designed for river cruisers half their length. I regularly dangled over open water to fill my water tank. Aquavista coned them off to leave only a few feet usable but wouldn't say why in writing. Moorings are charged by the foot of boat so does this mean I get a 75% refund? (not holding my breath...)
- Bit by bit the old pontoons got condemned as unsafe. Boats squeezed into the remaining, cramped spaces. The marina felt almost derelict.
- Staff blasted muck all over boats when jet washing their filthy pontoons. Some of it is still in my poor engine bay.
- Awful security. Motorbike theft, both successful and attempted. Parcel theft. CCTV broken for much of the time. Gate code leaks to non-moorers.
- Vehicle gate closes 20s after a vehicle goes through so anyone can tailgate in. At one point a masked gang (!!) did this and had to be chased away. The manager acknowledged the danger to customers but six months on it's still easy to do.
- Marina office was often closed during the advertised open hours, presumably due to understaffing
- My 12-month contract said I wouldn't need to give notice if I left at the end. Staff repeatedly pressured me to. Area Manager confirmed no notice was required, but tried to justify it by saying they wanted to "plan berth availability" (I think this means "make more money by reselling it immediately")
- If you sell your boat while it's in the marina, Aquavista's contract gives them the right to 7.5% + VAT of its value - even if you didn't use their brokerage service. Incredible.
- The marketing makes a lot of all the "Freedom!" you'll get if you base your boat here. With a 3-month notice period unless I left bang on the 12-month mark and that greedy sale-on-berth charge? Pull the other one.
Premium pricing for a substandard product. All in all, a dreadful experience.

Aquavista boat sales Sawley what a great team on the boat sales team and marina shop sales team just couldn't do enough for me a well organised team working for each others sales as one unit no selfishness just a commitment to match the buyer with right boat. Great feedback related between vendor and buyer During my purchase all follow up completed on time I worked with the complete team Kate, Paul and Mark the expression "you can't do enough for a good buyer" or client I guess just didn't cut the mustard unlike the Sawley Aquavista sales team top team Thank You

Great location
Great location. Really easy Park and Ride to Bath. Nice walks along the River and good pub 5 mins walk. Staff really friendly and helpful. Great site for city break.

Sold boat due to bereavement and part ownership to deceased, they knew what was going on but acted as if they didn’t, initially they wanted £1600 then tried to charge me £500 to get out of the contract then it was £274 then it was £500 again even at some point it was £1600 all while I’m trying to deal with the loss of a parent at the age of 31, I mean come on is there no compassion here at all? I was always paid up on my fees up front and there was no outstanding fees the boat left a week early so I guess I don’t get refunded that week my berth was empty? they even breached contract on failure to provide mooring services like electricity hook up and particularly berth that I was shown when I joined Aquavista. I’d avoid aquavista like the plague as life is full of uncertainty and we definitely don’t know what’s just around the corner and it seems aquavista are there ready to pounce with their card machine in hand no matter the circumstances, I had hoped to deal with the loss of my father and purchase a new boat in the coming year (2026) but the constant back and fourth via email which is beginning to fall under harassment. Almost worse than premier marinas. Long gone are the days you could actually speak to people and feel like the actually car, when I was explaining my situation to Royal Clarence marina’s (manager) about my father passing he’s response was we got told all sorts of stories. Come on what sick individual would make that up I nearly jumped up the point of him saying that. There’s absolutely no need to come out with things like that. Disgusted is an understatement..

Bath waterside marina and caravan park…
Bath waterside marina and caravan park is immaculately maintained, clean, pleasant and peaceful. It has a lovely situation next to the river Avon and is idealy placed for vists to Bath, via the park and ride service which stops just a few minutes away. There are two good pub/restaurants within easy walking distance along the river front.
The staff are all excellent. In every single interaction with them they were pleasant, courtious and efficient.
Unfortunatly our stay was cut short by an accidental injury, but the out of hours staff member on call could not have done more to help. Site management did everthing they could to ease our difficulty.
I thoroughly recommend this site, for its lovely location, high leval of maintainance and most of all it's excellant customer service. I look forward to returning.

Onze eerste camperervaring in GB was goed bij Aquavista. Mooie plek bij heuveltje. Hele aardige buren. Aks je toch kort bij elkaar staat, is dat fijn. Geweldige medewerking in het vinden van oplossing voor het onverhoopte parkeren van camper na ons vertrek.
Heel eenvoudig met PenR bus naar centrum Bath.
Paar tips: in oude sanitair gebouw spiegels hoger hangen. Afvalcontainers waren wel erg vol.
Enige minpunt is het verkeersgeluid en de krijsende meeuwen, maar dat is de camping niet te verwijten.
Kortom: voor ons een prima camperervaring

Aquavista Cowroast Marina
Jason, Tim and Berlinda make you feel welcome and are always happy to help out. Staying at Cowroast was a pleasure and we'll sadly miss the team. As for the rest of the boaters staying there, they were warm and friendly and always stopped for a chat. Great place to stay.

Mooie haven met modern sanitair op loopafstand van bruisend Hull
Mooie, grote jachthaven, beschut achter de sluis. De loopbrug over de A63 brengt je in no time in de stad en langs de kade zijn er veel restaurants en bars.
Het sanitair is modern en schoon, maar een aantal wc's en douches kunnen niet op slot

Arrived on the afternoon of Saturday 7th June to be greeted by super helpful and friendly staff Will and Pat. They really went the extra mile to accommodate the motorhome for my uncle (80) who is walking John O'Groats to Lands End (route: 1,200 miles over 90 days) to raise funds for Alzheimer's Research. Thanks again Will and Pat, you are awesome.
