Bring a sandwich, or maybe some antibiotics

I like good food, but I’m not really a food snob. In a pinch a Mcdouble at McDonald’s is fine. Hartsfield Jackson stands out for having the most expensive, slow and gross food of any airport I’ve been to. I’ve been to multiple restaurants there and it’s all slop that a middle school cafeteria would be embarrassed to serve, and it’s expensive AF. In my experience, it has been so uniformly bad that it has to be a tacit collaboration because they know they have captive customers and don’t care if they come back.

Worse experience ever

Approaching passport control the person "responsible" started yelling at people. No answer to our "good morning". More yelling. At the security check, more yelling yet. At the international flight gate, at the speaker we got only pro glorious us army brain washing propaganda every 3 minutes. Delta overbooked, any moment risk of being refused to get on the plane, even if ticket payed and not chip at all. Strong young army men embarking first while families with small children and old people must wait till almost the end. "Nice" experience ! I would have rated 0 stars but have to check at least 1. So, the 1.8 general rating is well overrating.

A rare 5 stars for Hartsfield-Jackson!

Yeah, that’s right, I gave Hartsfield Jackson Airport 5 stars! Maybe that’s because I know exactly where I’m going. I don’t have to interact with employees that much but every time I did it was a positive experience. I’m not saying it was a jokefest, but they gave me the information that I needed with a smile, and I was on my way. No rudeness, no angry face just business. And I’ve flown through Hartsfield-Jackson in the last 10 years at least 20 to 25 times and I’ve flown all over the country. So I’ll be one of the rare birds that gives this airport a thumbs up. Hopefully those rude employees that everyone else runs into will either find a new job or improve their lives!

Atlanta Airport Managers need to…

Atlanta Airport Managers need to conduct an internal review about its operational implementation. Specifically, "Ride Share" Lyft/Uber Etc...it's difficult to find. And it has no structure or order whatsoever for drivers and riders to navigate/negotiate pickups. It has absolutely no thought process into keeping riders from the weather elements. 33 degrees outside on 10 November 2025, 8:30pm. Additionally, it took over 45 minutes to get from the ride share lot to Riverdale Rd. This has to be the World's M9st Largest Debacles along with the Airport. SMH!!!!

Angry airport worker

I got dropped off for a southwest flight and I havnt flown anywhere in years. I was nervous and anxious, scared I was in the wrong place. I thought i might miss my flight. It said i was in the international terminal . A nice man told me go to where some people that looked like it was tsa but I wasn't sure cause it wasn't what I was used to it was empty no line. The woman sitting down told me to go ahead and go I thought she ment walk through I thought maybe the real tsa was up ahead. Then she yell excuse me and I said oh I'm sorry I don't really know where I'm going I didn't mean to offend you cause she seemed really angry. She said no but I'm getting there. I was completely thrown off and confused by her reaction. The other tsa man directed me where to go. Now I'm sitting here with a bad impression and left wondering why that woman was so angry. I hope she has a better day.

Tablet she was rude talk to security they were rude talk to South west they were the worst and I’m flying them

Lost item with no response

Over the years, I've had many mediocre or bad experiences at ATL, so this is just the latest. I'm older and not as quick as I used to be, so it's irritating when TSA workers yell at you to hurry!

Anyway, this time I put my ID in the bin separate from my wallet, and it was lost. I called TSA and learned the only way to report it is online, so I did that. All I got was an automated email saying my report had been submitted and they would be in touch. After 10 days, I reported it to the airport and have not received ANYTHING, even an acknowledgement. First TSA in Atlanta fails, and then ATL airport.

Unbelievably Rude and Unhelpful…

Unbelievably Rude and Unhelpful Experience from the Moment We Arrived

From the moment we stepped into the airport, we were met with rudeness, disrespect, and a total lack of helpfulness. While going through customs and collecting our baggage, I approached the counter only to be stared at blankly. My husband gently pointed me in the right direction, and the staff member turned to him( not me) and said, “Thank you, sir.” When I apologized and said I hadn’t known where to go, hoping for a hint of understanding, he coldly responded, “Please go,” without a trace of courtesy or humor.

Then, unsure where to go next, we eventually located the baggage check area. There were no bins for small items, and when I paused to tuck my phone into my bag, the man at the conveyor belt snapped, “Yeah, and you’ve got people behind you, so get moving.” Completely uncalled for.

Trying to brush it off, I then approached a staff member to ask where the restroom was. She responded with a flat, “Good afternoon.” I replied, “Hi, sorry to bother you,” and again, she cut me off with, “Good afternoon.” I tried to ask my question, but she refused to let me speak until I repeated “Good afternoon” back to her like it was some sort of test. I was stunned.

I am absolutely flabbergasted by the level of disrespect, coldness, and uselessness we encountered. Traveling can be stressful enough; having to deal with staff who seem to go out of their way to be unkind makes it exponentially worse. This was not just one person having a bad day. This was a pattern of poor attitude and complete disregard for basic human decency. Completely unacceptable.

Avoid the food at the international…

Avoid the food at the international terminal.
it is not surprising that they have only screens to order and no real hosts.
I made the mistake of ordering the inedible foods at the supposedly Chinese bistro, truelly the worst I have had in a very long time.

The atlanta airport hates its…

The atlanta airport hates its travelers, vendors, and workers. Perpetual construction coupled with poor design and access to offsight parking shuttles is just the tip of the iceberg. I imagine the handicapped and elderly are miserable every step of their journey. It’s diabolical what its leadership has done to the busiest airport in the country.

Honestly the absolute WORST airport for…

Honestly the absolute WORST airport for international travellers PERIOD!!!
I've been through so many airports around the world & Atlanta is by far the worst!! Twice I've had to travel through this airport for connecting flights & each time was appallingly worse than the first!! The last time been the evening of May 2nd 2025.
Took approximately 35mins to get through boarder security with the long queues, not a problem, but nearly 2 hours to get through security? The staff are incredible rude, unhelpful, lazy & incompetent!! The queues were barely moving every 5mins! The TSA for US & Canadian citizens went through fast & then closed rather than staying open to help process the international ever growing queue! They only reopened after nearly an hour & still the queues were barely moving! When I got near the front I soon saw why! The staff were talking, playing around & watching videos on their phones! They were only allowing one person at a time to put their items on the belt, yes the belt NOT the bins because apparently that would be too much work for them to deal with having to replenishing the bins 🙄 each one was taking around 3mins because their items was either falling off the belt or getting stuck etc
I have never in my 45years came across airport staff so unprofessional, incompetent & lazy as I have at Atlanta, in the international security area!!
I had a 2hrs 15min layover & barely made my flight, unfortunately others weren't so lucky & missed theirs! The panic from people in that queue was overwhelming & then you see the staff, with not a care in the world, who obviously would rather be out partying than doing their job!
Atlanta NEEDS a complete staff overhaul done starting with management & working all the way down the ladder to ground staff that have no business been in the jobs their paid to do!!
I'd rather swim the Atlantic back home to Ireland than have to travel though Atlanta airport again!!!

Absolute Dump

This place is basically one notch above a total dump! The employees, gate agents, and / or staff are incompetent, rude, and truly have horrible attitudes. All the while the clueless mayor is coming over the intercom announcing the busiest and best airport. Avoid this place like the plague!!!

Absolutely worst airport I have ever…

Absolutely worst airport I have ever had the misfortune of travelling through in 55 years. Landed from Costa Rica at 1930hrs and thankfully had a 4 hour layover because it was totally disorganised took over 2 hours as a foreign visitor to get through security for my connecting flight. For some reason all us ‘foreigners had to remove shoes’ while TSA queue didn’t. We had all just arrived from the same flight!! Rude, young staff with not a care in the world for the multiple passengers who were desperate to get through for their connecting flights. One lady in front was unwell and asked for help to be told as she wasn’t in the TSA queue she couldn’t get help!! I mean come on WTF!!
I hope to never visit this airport ever again.

Went through North gate

Went through North gate. First pre-check only means stand in line with everyone else. But leave your shoes on so plan your time right. Clear is something different. They will send you down clear then turn you around and not honor pre-check. Unless you are a female and the two male clear guys think you’re cute! I counted 16 so it’s selective. More people standing around not participating in work than actually working. Lots of bosses no workers. I did seek out the department head of north gate. He plus 6 or more other higher level managers busy reviewing everything other than the job. I pointed out my observation of the lack of communication, the lack of people working to solve issues and inconsistency of the experience. I want to see who was at the top of such a poorly run department. Lack of leadership was the main display. now i was way early 4 hours early so no skin of my clock. its sad to watch people miss flights because of this incompetent or just don't care department head. reflects badly on the people who try. maybe its laziness, i don't know but Atlanta. you can do much better.

What Just Happened in the C34 Bathroom

I just had one of the most amazing experiences in the bathroom near gate C34 in the airport.

Hear me out: the attendant Marvina treated everyone walking in there like we are VIPs walking on the red carpet at the Oscars — or better.

Whoever hired this beautiful soul, thank you. She blessed my day and changed the atmosphere of the entire C terminal.

Decent as far as airports go

As far as airports go, food choices are pretty decent. Security lines move way faster than you'd expect, especially with TSA pre. Main con has got to be the crowded pick up.

Worst airport in the country!

Worst airport in the country! I have traveled to 54 countries and counting, and this airport is incredibly inefficient in processing international flights and connections. Staff extremely lazy and unhelpful. And they have an announcement saying they are committed to supporting the fight against human tracking. It goes on to say..."if you see something, call 911." Why the heck would I call local police in lieu of airport authority and security?!? Lazy! And this does not just apply to airport staff...this includes TSA, airline staff (such as Delta), and restaurant staff assigned to this airport. It's the absolute worst!
