Appalling customer service, no accountability and even denial that they sold the vehicle in the first place. Unbelievable!

Look at the other negative reviews. They speak for themselves. Look at google they even tell the customers they are liars

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. AVOID

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Honest review of Aylesbury Trade…

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Honest review of Aylesbury Trade Centre / Drop Shop Limited

I recently purchased a Fiat Abarth 595 from Aylesbury Trade Centre, trading as Drop Shop Limited. I want to start by saying that the car itself was absolutely beautiful, and at the beginning of the buying process, I genuinely had nothing but good things to say about the dealership.

The initial communication was excellent. They were friendly, helpful, quick to respond and managed to arrange the finance I wanted without any problems. When we went to view the car, there were a few minor issues that we discussed, but nothing that would have put me off purchasing it, as I was more than happy to pay to have those things sorted myself.

There was, however, one important thing we specifically asked about — whether the car had been decatted. We were told that it shouldn’t be, as the car had only recently passed its MOT, so we took that as reassurance that everything was as it should be.

Unfortunately, on the journey home after collecting the car, the engine management light came on.

We took the car to a local garage, where it was plugged into diagnostics. The fault appeared to relate to the exhaust/decat setup, and we were advised that the vehicle was not something we were comfortable continuing to drive in that condition.

I contacted the finance company immediately, and I have to say that they were absolutely fantastic throughout the situation. I then contacted Aylesbury Trade Centre, but unfortunately the level of communication and helpfulness I experienced after the sale was very different from what I had experienced before purchasing the car.

What particularly concerned me was that, after I had raised the issue, I went back onto the original vehicle listing and noticed that information relating to the decat had subsequently been added to the advert. This was not something that had been disclosed to us in the advert when we purchased the vehicle, and despite us specifically asking about it beforehand, we had not been given that information.

Eventually, after some back and forth, the dealership agreed to take the car back. They did offer to rectify the decat/exhaust issue, which I do acknowledge, but after everything that had happened, I no longer felt comfortable keeping the vehicle and decided that returning it was the right decision for me.

The collection was another frustrating part of the experience. We were told the car would be collected on Saturday morning, so we arranged our entire day around this. The collection didn’t actually happen until around 1:30pm, which meant our plans were completely disrupted and we were left waiting around for a large part of the day.

I want to be fair because the gentlemen I dealt with at Aylesbury Trade Centre seemed like genuinely nice people, and I’m sure plenty of customers have had completely positive experiences with them. The car itself was also genuinely lovely, and the initial buying experience was very good.

Unfortunately, though, it’s how the situation was handled once there was a problem that has left me disappointed. The communication after the sale was nowhere near as good as it had been beforehand, and the experience has ultimately left me feeling very wary about buying another car on finance in the near future.

I don’t leave this review to be malicious, and I appreciate that the dealership did ultimately agree to the return and offered to put the issue right. But buying a car is a huge financial commitment, and when something goes wrong almost immediately after collection, you need to feel that the dealer is going to stand behind the vehicle and communicate properly with you.

Sadly, that wasn’t how I felt during this experience.

3/5 ⭐️ — Great initial service and a beautiful car, but unfortunately the issues with the vehicle and the way the situation was handled afterwards really let the experience down.

Easy and friendly experience

A good, honest experience for buying a car. The staff were all helpful and transparent and whole experience was relatively easy. The car needed body work done so this was carried out to a very high standard before the purchase.

AVOID at all costs

I would strongly advise caution before buying a vehicle from this dealership.

I purchased Audi A7 SC67 PXR from them in March 2025. Within around two months I was reporting significant faults. Diagnostic evidence subsequently identified evidence of a previous AdBlue leak, an unplugged AdBlue injector and concerns that the system had been mapped out.

An independent vehicle inspection later found evidence of physical emissions-system tampering and software manipulation, which it concluded had occurred before I purchased the vehicle. The finance company ultimately accepted rejection of the car and it was collected from me in April 2026.

After more than a year of dealing with this, my complaint was upheld through the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Documents I subsequently obtained through a Subject Access Request are particularly concerning. They show that the dealership offered an £11,500 buy-back, which CarMoney agreed to. Later correspondence from CarMoney records that the dealership had advised that they “have not, and do not intend to, refund the customer in accordance with the Financial Ombudsman Service’s decision.”

Most concerningly, as of August 2026, SC67 PXR is currently advertised for sale again on this dealership's website. Prospective purchasers can therefore make their own assessment of that in light of my experience and the independent findings above.

I also have serious concerns about the authenticity of some of the positive reviews for this dealership. I would encourage prospective customers to look carefully through the review history rather than relying simply on the overall rating.

This has taken well over a year to address and is yet to be resolved and involved the dealership, CarMoney, Redline Finance, an independent vehicle inspection and ultimately the Financial Ombudsman Service.

I would not buy a vehicle from this dealership again.

We strongly dispute the account given in this review, which is inaccurate and misleading.

The vehicle was purchased in March 2025 and the customer subsequently drove over 13,000 miles in it before the vehicle was eventually returned to us. When we received the vehicle back, we arranged for it to be inspected, and the inspection identified recent physical evidence of tampering with the emissions system. It is therefore completely misleading to present this as conclusive evidence that the vehicle had been tampered with before it was sold to the customer, particularly after more than 13,000 miles and over a year of use.

The customer was also seeking the return of her full deposit/contribution, despite having had extensive use of the vehicle.

The matter was ultimately dealt with between the relevant parties, CarMoney was paid and the case was closed. The suggestion that we simply refused to resolve the matter is therefore not an accurate representation of what happened.

We would encourage anyone reading this review to look at the wider picture and make their own assessment. We have nearly 1,000 genuine Google reviews from customers and have been trading as an established motor dealership for years.

We accept that customers are entitled to share genuine experiences, but we will not accept disputed allegations being presented as established facts. This review does not accurately reflect the full circumstances of this case or its eventual resolution.

⚠️ PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY FROM…

⚠️ PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY FROM THEM! ⚠️
I am absolutely gutted. I bought a car here after a quick 15-minute test drive and took it home the next day. Within just 3 days, the nightmare started: really strong carbon smell, thick while smoke, pound engine noise, none of the parking sensors worked, and I realized all four tires were completely different brands/sizes.
> I rang them immediately (again, within 3 days of buying it) and they completely refused to take ownership or help. I've since taken it to two independent garages for full inspection reports. They found massive carbon buildup, internal injector leaks, resprayed front bumpers to hide damage, and confirmed none of the sensors work. I honestly don't know how I missed all of this before buying, but I trusted them because they are a "dealer."
To make it worse, the finance company has been no help and doesn't seem to care. I am stuck paying every single month for a car that I can't even drive. It’s been 3 months now and the "investigation" is still dragging on. This place is a total scam and a trap. What is the point of buying from a dealership if you can't trust them? Do not go to them. You have been warned.

We strongly dispute this review, as it does not accurately reflect what happened.

The vehicle was taken to Mazda for inspection, and Mazda found no issues with the vehicle. That is an important fact which has been completely omitted from this review.

The customer states that the car had serious faults and was supposedly undriveable, yet when it was independently inspected by the manufacturer, no such issues were identified. It is therefore reasonable to ask why the finance company did not uphold the customer's complaint.

The fact that the finance company did not support the complaint should not simply be portrayed as them “not caring”. There is clearly more to this matter than the one-sided account presented here.

We are happy to deal with genuine faults and legitimate complaints, but describing an established dealership as a “scam” and a “trap” when the vehicle was inspected by Mazda and no issues were found is completely unjustified.

We have nearly 1,000 genuine Google reviews, and we encourage prospective customers to look at the wider customer feedback and make their own informed judgement.

Absolutely do not recommend this…

Absolutely do not recommend this dealership.

We initially called to arrange viewing a car and were told it was scheduled for an oil change, so we could see it in a few days. We were asked to pay a £250 holding deposit, which already felt excessive, especially since we later discovered on their website that their standard holding deposit is only £90.

We were promised a call once the vehicle was ready, but after nearly a week of no communication, we had to chase them ourselves. Only then were we told we could come in the next day.

When we finally saw the car, it was nothing like advertised. There were multiple visible issues that were not shown in any photos or mentioned beforehand. The car had bumps, a cracked side mirror, and one of the rear panels looked like it had been poorly repaired with silicone. It was clear the car had been damaged, but this was never disclosed.

On top of that, we were told the car had just been serviced. However, when we checked, the oil was very dark, clearly not recently changed, which raises serious concerns about honesty and transparency.

Due to all these issues, we decided not to go ahead with the purchase. Despite this, they refused to refund our £250 holding deposit.

Very disappointing experience, misleading information, poor communication, and refusal to take responsibility. Be extremely cautious.

We strongly disagree with the account given in this review.

Before the customer paid the £250 holding deposit, they were clearly informed that the deposit was non-refundable. They agreed to those terms and paid the deposit to reserve the vehicle.

The customer subsequently viewed the vehicle and simply decided they no longer wanted to proceed. There was nothing mechanically wrong with the vehicle, and no sale was forced upon them.

This was a used vehicle, not a brand-new showroom car. Used vehicles can have age-related cosmetic marks and imperfections, which is precisely why customers are encouraged to view and inspect them before purchasing.

It is therefore completely unfair to suggest that we were dishonest or misleading simply because the customer viewed a used car and decided it wasn't for them. They were fully informed of the deposit terms before paying it and chose to proceed with the reservation regardless.

We stand by our position and would encourage prospective customers to consider the facts rather than the exaggerated version presented in this review.

AVOID!

AVOID!! TOTAL SCAMMERS SELLING CARS WITH FRAUDULENT PAPERS!!!
They were very friendly over the phone. We asked if the timing chain had been done on the vehicle and was told it had. As it was a 4hr round trip to collect the vehicle we asked if we could see the paperwork beforehand which they reluctantly sent across. When we got there one salesman said the timing chain hadnt been done. We responded advising they had sent paperwork to us showing timing chain had been done. His response was "show me the paperwork" Surely if they had provided it to us they would have the paperwork! He then back tracked and said it was his mistake and the paper work was correct and timing chain had been done. Next red flag was he produced service paperwork which literally looked like something my 8 year old could of typed up on a word document! When we questioned it, the response was the service had been done that day and thats why there was no record of the work done or mileage. He produced pages of alleged service history and repair works all of which looked dodgy!!
The whole vibe there was uncomfortable! Multiple staff following you around and all whispering and signaling to eachother. We left without purchasing and had a lucky escape!!!
