Barnet Council Opiniones 

Today we have tried to book to give Notice for a Civil Partnership. The Barnet Council website has been appalling at every single step of the way. Illiterate. Clunky. Incorrect. You can get halfway through a booking but then you hit a brick wall. I could go on and on. Booking the venue in Camden via the Camden Council website has been an absolute joy. There is no excuse for this incompetence.

Great at passing the buck. All working from home.
Roofer booked to go 3 times and never turned up.
Water coming in through the roof and nobody could care less.
The "TalkToUs" is NOT working.

Last year I made a complaint to Barnet Council about the care my brother was receiving in his last few months. The person I dealt with was Odeya Barr (Lead Practitioner, Multi Agency Safeguarding Team). I always had to remind them to answer me. In the end they accused me of lying, then in the same e-mail lied to me. When I replied I have just been ignored. Unbelievably rude behaviour. But after reading all the other reviews, it seems to be normal behaviour for Barnet Council.

Barnet homes is run by a bunch of clowns therefore they are officially a circus, none of them read each others reports and none care for peoples mental health in fact they disbelieve you even if you have evidence via doctors ect they are adamant they know best.

When i picture barnet homes i picture a tent with a bunch of red nosed clowns.
Stuck up staff who just doesnt care about anyone but themself.
Honest review given due to experience if your thinking barnet homes can help you with anything think again they will put you in temp accom and then try push you into private living due to the sheer fact that they can not be bothered!

A costly council website that is simply rubbish, it sends you round and round in loops with no real way of understanding what your codes are, or how to even pay things.
Their phone service has been an epic waste of time with no answer from anyone and leaving me listening to music then cutting me off.

Has to be the worst service I have ever encountered ...... Ever!

For a council this is starting to look like they are making it difficult so that we fall into arrears.

Everyone in Barnet Homes should be sacked for their poor attitude and lack of interest in actually providing the service they are paid to do. Sticking homeless people in overpriced temporary accommodation with mouldy mattresses, broken windows and non secure properties and then when property refused instruct UKSL (another cowboy operation) to chase for rent not owed. How they get away with it is mind blowing.

Barnet Council are are a bunch of lying fascist dictators. Having falsely accused me of not paying any council tax in a previous year, they conveniently hide any disclosure of who to report their false allegations to (they should have disclosed this earlier in the year of this incident), so that complaints against them are deliberately dropped. In fact, they are the ones that owe me money which they still have not paid out to me to this date. They have decided to not respond to any of my calls/emails following the mess they have made.

In future, I will not be giving the benefit of the doubt to Barnet Council when they make a blunder. They have taken advantage of the good nature of council tax payers that take the time to assist them to clear matters only to stab them in the back.

No telephone number to make contact. Links don't work regarding council tax. Delays in answering emails. What an earth are Barnet Council employees doing since the pandemic? We need a better service from the local council. Would give zero stars if I could!

Don’t expect any help from Labour Councillors

I contacted LABOUR Councillor Rishikesh Chakraborty, West Hendon Ward, Mobile: +447716092340, Twitter: @RishikeshChakr9, about the FRAUD committed against me, by the London Borough of Barnet (LBB)

I gave Chakroborty conclusive absolute documented evidence of Barnet Council’s criminal offences (FRAUD and PERVERTING the COURSE of JUSTICE). I thought, as a new Labour Councillor, Chakroborty might have at least a shred of honesty, but no.

Chakroborty sent a one-line email to LBB about this - unsurprisingly LBB said they’d deleted their files, and don’t want to discuss this any more.

Despite the absolute proof I had given Chakroborty, he evidently said to LBB “OK, thanks”.

THAT’S the sort of representation you can expect from the LABOUR Councillors. Even the TORY Councillors, duplicitous liars as they are, treated this matter a little bit more seriously. Even TORY MP Matthew Offord TORY tried to help a little bit (He was previously deputy Leader of LBB, so he can’t openly criticize his ex-colleagues.)

Chakroborty suggests, maybe I could make a formal complaint to Barnet Council - (Ha Ha Ha, I did that years ago) or write to the Local Government Ombudsman - (also did that years ago - they won’t get involved). And to cap it all, then Chakroborty says “I hope that this provides some closure on this long-running case”. No, It doesn't.

Barnet Council are Criminals and you can’t do anything about it !

My family have been mistreated and discriminated by Jorden Moffret, from Barnet Council, she or he illegally removed my son from a tenancy while he was at University so he or she could provide a dirty, filthy, unpainted, 2 bedroom property in Leighton, buzzard, away from family and friends. Barnet Council keep putting my family in debt, making a business enterprise while they deliberately create debt. Barnet Council are a disgusting and unprofessional council which should be shut down. The staff are rude and incompetent.

I would give 0, if possible.
The service was bad before but at least there was a slight chance of speaking with someone who was helpful.
Not anymore.
The phone service either disconnects or won't transfer to any department. The website is very slow, or crashes, and I couldn't access my account but could in the past.
The system seems designed to be unhelpful and make you not bother. The service was bad during Covid, which I could understand, but now seems even worse. Moving abroad anyway so will, hopefully, never deal with this council again.

Terrible service we tried calling no answer. We tried to appeal no response we spoke to cab they unfortunately can’t do anything so we will need to go to Barnet with our disabilities not that they care and we are going to make a huge fuss. Disgusting behaviour

This council is full of uneducated institutional backward thinking people, God help you !!! if you need their help!

My girlfriend had suddenly been admitted to A&E and I rushed out to meet her. Having not eaten all day, I stopped on a single yellow with my hazard lights on to pick her up some food. When I returned to the car two minutes later (I have a tracker which shows the length of time the car was stopped for), the warden had already printed the ticket. I appealed to Barnet Council with the above explanation and proof at the same time citing their codes that, whilst a warden does not have to, it is good practice to give a grace period of 5 minutes. The council replied refusing my appeal on the basis that, in spite of the circumstances, the rules are the rules and, although advised to by their own guidance notes, a warden does not have to grant a grace period and that they would give a ticket to a disabled person if they had done the same thing. This is not strictly correct as single yellows may be used to load and unload. I am new to Barnet and have been left with a very sour taste having experienced this unsympathetic behaviour for an extremely minor 'offence', if any.

No recycling collection for the second week in our road. Can't get hold of anyone, automatic phone system tells me to report it online, online it says that no-one at the council provided a collection day for it road in the system and I should call the number, which tells me... to report it online and again just hangs up.

Tried different council numbers, I never reach a person. Only the automated system. Ridiculous.

If so it's great work.
For the past month I have been trying, unsuccessfully to get Barnet refund an overpayment on my council tax as I have moved outside the borough.
I received a credit note that said I would need to apply for a refund.
Never heard of such nonsense!
Despite many attempts to contact Barnet online and by phone I have failed to get any answers on how I can get my money back.
Finally when I threatened to take them to court they replied that a refund will be paid in a week.
It's been 2 weeks now and no refund.
Why are Barnet not investigated over appalling customer service?
I won't even mention their illegal behaviour in granting questionable planning permissions and breaking the law by not carrying social care assessments I'm angry nothing is done about it. Should I mention how impossible to claim any council tax discount as Barnet have designed the system to make it IMPOSSIBLE. It's disgraceful but this scandal is kept largely out of view. Where is the press?
I'm relieved I'm out of the corrupt borough! Barnet, if you reading this you have lost many good people who volunteered for the community and contributed their time and resources for free. But we are all sick living in a incompetent, greedy and corrupt local authority.
Where is my refund?
Tomorrow I'm filing the court case online.

got a parking ticket with no street sign and lost the tribunal after sending evidence of no strret sign because they just dont care they wana steel ur money they are one big gang with badges who think they have authority

Place full of incompetent people who have no clue how to do their jobs. From stealing and lying managers (when caught they’re just let go with their own resignation, fraud with no court, no justice - one case with lots of money wasted on half a year investigation) to useless HR and payroll. I worked there, awaiting P45 (meant to receive it 2 weeks ago) and the delay is causing me problems in a different country as I need to provide the documents. Please, get rid of these government run institutions as they will never work. Each person just cares about how to hide from work and count minutes to reach the lunch breaks and go home. No one cares about anything and anyone here. Fake diversity, fake equal opportunities, fake interest in the residents. All just fake work wasting people’s tax money!!!
