My son had a great time at Hive. They provided top quality learning booklets and a range of fantastic activities from team building to arts and crafts. My child was really nervous beforehand but the staff were so supportive, kind and fun. He couldn’t wait to go back the next day!

Great communication from the start about how the sessions will work including an artinery with timings. Emails answered with all questions answered. Excellent supportive staff that really helped my child feel more confident before starting at their new secondary school. An amazing experience not to be missed at this vital transition period.

Like many parents, I was worried my child would not want to attend a tutor setting, particularly after a long week at school, but my son has enjoyed every single session. He is always happy to attend, and keen to show us what he has been learning. The tutors are energetic, friendly and engaging. They provide the perfect balance of learning and fun. I would highly recommend Hive.

My son had a wonderful experience at Hive, having attended both an Easter 11 plus camp and an 11 plus summer school over three weekends.

Rob and his team deliver a fun, engaging and professional experience to support and prep children for their 11 plus. As another review stated, you know it’s good when your children ask to go to a ‘holiday school’. When I asked my son what he liked so much, he said “Rob is really helpful and when you’re stuck, he helps you in a kind way” - out of the mouths of babes!

The Hive experience was an integral part of my son’s 11 plus journey and I would highly recommend them to future parents of year 5 children.

My son attended 11+ Final Prep sessions and loved every minute of it. Every time he would come out excited, motivated, more confident and eager to do more.

Absolutely great experience! My son loved it so much. I booked just for one day to see if he likes it. Ended up booking the whole week because he just kept talking about it all the time. Lots of brain activities followed by cricket, football and cross training outside. Highly recommend!

Over several days this summer our son attended all day sessions with Hive Education (Beths Summer School). It was an amazing introduction to Y7. He met and made new friends meaning that there will be many familiar faces on his first day of secondary school (quite a relief for us as parents). He told us that he enjoyed the lessons - particularly Geography and the many puzzles too. I can't recommend Hive Education's concept enough.

Our daughter really enjoyed her two days at Hive this Easter with Rob and the team. It was the perfect balance for us, something I wish we’d known about when our son was that age. Rob and his team gave it a really personal feel, seemed to engage with each child and were incredibly reassuring and welcoming. I was worried my daughter wouldn’t keep up with the academic material but she came home incredibly confident and proud of herself… Lucy (one of the tutors) obviously did a wonderful job. My daughter also really loved the canvas painting and clay modelling! We’ll certainly be back… thank you Rob, Lucy, Rob Senior and Liz!

A great start to Year 7!
From the first day to the last my son has throughly enjoyed attending Hive summer school. He loves the interactive classwork in the morning and the fun activities in the afternoon. The balance is just right. Rob and his team are wonderful teachers and my son has been coming home so happy that he can't wait to go back the next day

My son attended Hive Summer School throughout the summer holidays. We were thrilled with the quality of the resources and learning activities. It was so good to see him engaged and away from his screens in the holidays. The blend of learning and sports and crafts was perfect too!

You know something is good when your child asks to go back even when it’s related to school work! Huge thanks to Rob and the Hive team. My daughter attended twice and really enjoyed the combination of morning and afternoon activities. She’s been keen to share what she has learnt and further investigate topics in her own time especially one on the Enigma machine. Therefore a great concept and it definitely hit the right note for my daughter before she starts secondary school.
