BIDDULPHS INTERNATIONAL damage your stuff and then are silent and frustrate you
I recently relocated from KZN to Johanesburg and we regret using Biddulphs International.We took out insurance for our goods and they are a fsp but did not explain.We insured our goods for higher amount but we were told to adjust it to a lower amount which was quoted.Their staff damaged several items and staff are unprofessional,staff member requested to use the toilet and urinated all over the seat and laughed,their staff member carries furniture in the rain with slippers,Staff wear environserve uniform.They did not collect my dog kennel and bird cage which I paid for and also insured,they now don't want to assist and pass the buck to the insurance, their staff member loaded shelves which they damaged and now their insurer confirms theu won't pay as the items was not on the inventory,they damaged my plastic storage containers and don't want to pay as the items were not noted in the inventory,but they damaged it.They damaged my stairway scrapping items on the stairway,their ceo is very quite and does not want to communicate,please do yourself a favor and stay away from Biddulphs International poor pathetic service!

Absolutely useless
Absolutely useless. Couldn't even get yourselves organized to come and quote. 2 Other large removal companies already been and quoted. Very glad I didn't start the process with you if this is the type of service you deliver. Imagine the disaster awaiting me if I had!!

Absolutely useless
We moved from Bloemfontein, South Africa, to Brisbane, Australia, in October 2021, and Biddulphs collected our things that same week.
Biddulphs was absolutely useless with our container.
Not only did it take more than a year for us to get our container, but there was a box missing and Biddulphs made it as inconvenient as possible to claim our insurance. Also, the insurance they sold us for R2200 was worthless, so it didn't even pay out.
Things were bad from the start because a few months into the process they asked for an additional R6000 because of 'unforeseen costs' - which should not be the customer's problem.
I hate them and would not recommend that anyone use them.

International removals from South Africa
Packed up my house in South Africa on 29th July last year……. STILL waiting for various items of furniture to arrive in UK, even though I paid for everything to go into the same container!! To add insult to injury, when I unpacked the boxes (sealed by “packers”) that did arrive, several valuable items were missing. Don’t trust them on any level…….

They simply don't value you or your goods!
Please understand that I can't find a sufficiently honest way to express how bad Biddulphs is! It may just be the consultant on the garden route but they do not have a clue about the importance of there cargo! Communication is key and one should not have to threaten to get a reasonable response and the planning of how they ship is shocking!
My suggestion.... If you are relocating and value having your household around you.... Look elsewhere!

Biddulphs assisted me with relocating to the Netherlands. From start till end they were extremely professional, friendly and patient as they understand that the move is very stressful. They worked efficiently, even with the shortage of containers, and I received my goods in perfect condition. They are affordable when compared to other companies. I would highly recommend them just based on the staff and kind assistance. Additionally, the company they used in the Netherlands (Gerson Relocation) were just as helpful and patient. The relocation of my goods was the easiest task I had to do throughout the entire process of immigrating.

5 star service from Biddulphs & Carlo Brown
I was due to move to the UK and Carlo Brown from Biddulphs was really super helpful and patient at this very stressful time. He patiently answered every email and query and called me back every time I asked him to - which was many times! He really provided the best of customer service and never made me feel as if I was bothering him at all. The moving team were super professional friendly and helpful and very considerate and tidied up everything after they left.
In a bizarre twist I ended up not leaving and Carlo was very helpful in getting the information to me to have my packed goods returned to my flat

A very satsified customer who was extremely stressed and worried about moving continent
We just moved from RSA to Italy.
Biddulphs door-to-door service was excellent.
From the first meeting to obtain a quotation, to the packing of our "lives" (done exceptionally carefully), to the shipment which arrived in Italy way, way earlier than what I anticipated - seen the state of turmoil in which the shipping world is presently and finally to the delivery of the goods at out new home, everything was done professionally and basically well.

Everyone at Biddulphs made this daunting task easier!
The people in the office, the team packing (in my absence) I was already in Australia. The follow-up documentation, every aspect of this move was handled professionally.

Horrible feeling when you are moving…
Horrible feeling when you are moving overseas and you put trust in people that will not even give you proper advice.
Very dissatisfied with the service from Biddulphs, would never recommend the Durban branch or trust them with packing and delivering overseas, no feedback from Kesh and her manager unless you call or email and that also a delayed response . Only received my goods because I complained to customer services and Suttaford's were willing to collect my items from the biddulphs warehouse and have my goods shipped to Australia. The packing process was a rush and one one staff member was sent to my premises, my goods were loaded on the back of a Toyota hilux and waited on the road side because the driver did not bring any restraining equipment. There were too many missed shipping opportunities but payments were were asked for and were made immediately when Kesh requested, when there are customer service skilled attained at the Durban branch, business might be better for Biddulphs

Disappointing and frustrating....
The collection team was on time and good. After that things went downhill fast. Having been told it would take 6-8 weeks to ship our goods it ended up taking 21 weeks. Updates were slow. One box and a bike rack never turned up and some goods were damaged. We had paid for insurance and filled in the claim form. Having been told our claim had been approved we are still waiting three months later for the settlement payment....it is 13 months since our goods were collected. Moving should not be like this.

We had our goods from UK and ended up with less…
We had our stuff moved from the UK to South Africa and could only verify all the boxes months later. Once verified, we have found 4 complete boxes are missing with expensive equipment in these boxes.
Having gone back and forth with the Biddulphs representative this side, we keep getting told they are verifying with the Office in George.
All boxes were properly numbered and recorded by the UK shipping company before leaving UK. On delivery in SA, the missing box numbers were shown on the delivery note as being delivered by Biddulphs in SA. Once we checked months later, as we could not move to the destination until later, we find 4 boxes non existent and get the run around from Biddulphs. Insurance claim is not possible as they cleverly only allow 7 days to claim. Who can check everything in 7 days anyway?
They even kept asking us if we had another customers 5 boxes in our shipment, yet all our items were apparently marked as delivered with the count being correct. They would have found a discrepency if the process was properly done.
Guess those boxes went elsewhere instead or were stolen. Either way, it's pointless dealing with a company who does not care for your goods.

Absolutely useless removal company….avoid!!!
Myself and my mother had our stuff moved by Biddulphs, her stuff went to Australia and my stuff to the uk. All my moms expensive silverware and a antique table never arrived in Australia. Some paintings and glassware was missing from my move. As both our belongings were stored due to covid, we couldn’t claim for missing/stolen stuff. Customer service stinks! Steer clear of this useless company!

Disappointed
We relocated from South Africa to UK and due to covid and the red list, our boxes arrived long before we were able to get to the UK which meant we were only able to check our contents much later. I later found that my very expensive pair or Jordan's were no where to be seen and were 100% there with the rest of my shoes at packing stage. I brought this this to Biddulphs attention and was told the window of time to raise a claim was passed to which I replied with understanding however covid delayed us getting here to check the boxes and regardless of whether or not we can claim im still very angry and disappointed that my shoes were gone. I was completely ignored after this and my next email was also completely ignored. Clearly they couldn't care less. So disappointed as the service I received in the beginning before the packing was great

Great service from Biddulphs
We recently relocated and made use of Biddulphs (Johannesburg) to do our move. I was extreme impressed at the service we got from them, the team that were loading were very bright and early (before the due time even) to start loading, their service was quick and effective, and they handled every piece of furniture they loaded, with such care like it was one of their own. Even every employee at the office itself, was friendly and helpful and really went out of our way to assist in every special need that we had, to made the move as easy for as as possible.
I am very impressed, as it is rare to find a company where everyone that you are in contact with, will go out of their way to give great service. I can just say WELL DONE BIDDULPHS!! And thank you so much!!
