Bike Park Wales is an incredible place!! We absolutely loved it as a family of 4 and despite our youngest being 6 years old she loved the trails and did loads of the blues. Honestly cannot recommend this fantastic location enough and we will be showing how brilliant it is from the wonderful staff on the uplifts, to the helpful bike repair guys to the yummy food on our YouTube channel Hudson Ware Diaries @BuildTheDreamUK - thank you for an amazing holiday and for developing such a fantastic place that means everybody’s needs from my nine-year-old son begging to go down the blacks to your wonderful Kermit green run! We LOVED it!!!!

Always a great day at BPW, the morning is always a slow start as everyone is there early and can’t get an uplift until 10:00 which is annoying . But overall a great place to take your bike

Great trails, well maintained with a great friendly vibe. Riders are taken care of on and off the trails.

Bike park Wales is incredible, the trails are beautifully sculpted and the team who work here are awesome, they really make you feel good vibes throughout the day. So why am I not giving them a 5 on this review? Well like everything these days it’s down to cost, the price has been steadily increasing (and we know everything is) but sadly this means where we would usually ride here 2-3 times a year, with fuel costs chucked in we could now only do 1, maybe 2. We also noticed a lot more time was spent queuing this time, where we would usually do 7-8 full runs on this visit we only achieved 5 in the time we had on the uplift. So although we love BPW it is almost becoming a rare treat for us rather than a more regular visit. Having said that, go visit, you won’t regret it.

First the positives. Great variety of well maintained trails, super friendly staff and a great cafe.

For improvement. There needs to be a cover built for the uplift queue. Standing in the roasting sun for 20 mins with no shade is no fun. Also when normal Welsh weather returns a cover would help with not standing in the rain.

Lastly. Jumps. Why does BPW only build massive jumps that are really hard to clear. I was so excited to see that a new blue jump trail had been built. But after one roll down Double Barrel it was immediately clear that it's the same as all the other jumps in the park. They're bloody big and you need to be going pretty fast to have any chance of clearing them.

I've spoken with loads of other park users and lots of people say the same thing. There needs to be some jumps in the park that are small and easy to clear for the huge numbers of users that aren't big senders. If double barrel had been built with jumps half the size. It would get 4x the riders on it.

Address these two things and it's back to a 5 star rating from me.

Been coming here since 2013, it’s grown a whole heap since those days, a lot of people say it’s expensive etc, but look at the work gone into these trails, and they keep on expanding.
I love riding here and always have a great time, good staff great vibe.
I do have a few slight criticisms, I feel the policing of body protection and mandatory full faces need looking at, seen far to many people with no pads here lately, it’s a gravity park, serious injury can occur.

Gluten free options in the cafe would be nice

Had the best day

Had a great trip recently. Used to enjoy the trails here, now I love them. They've really turned a corner recently, fixed a lot of berms and made some fantastic jump trails. Hard shoulder is so much fun.

Only thing I'd suggest is a row of pre bookable trickle EV chargers to charge as you ride, as getting to South Wales from 4 hours away for those of us who have electric cars is a bit of a pain! Oh and a water fountain at the uplift queue!

Honestly never had a good day at BPW previously but the new tracks and facilities are brilliant. All the new jump tracks work great and the upgrades and trail maintenance is amazing to see. Will definitely be back as soon as I can.

The coffee was that good I decided to get another one rather than stand in the sun to sign on haha.

A470 and double barrel are my favourite trails, the trail team have done a good job of reworking the bottom of A470 making the jumps a bit bigger, double barrel is so much fun and a bit quirky with roller doubles into corners and tables that aren’t on straight lines also, without jumps being really big it’s just really good fun.

One thing I think they could do is some cover where we wait for the uplift.

I've been riding mtb for decades, however I live in the Chilterns so most of my riding has been all mountain/ cross country our local bike park closed 6 years ago and I've been to others within a 40 mile radius, that said I had the best day on a bike at bpw the trails are superb and all of the team were so friendly and helpful i will definitely be a returning rider and would highly recommend it to others.

A massive variety of trails and riding options

Great day out from the friendliness of the team in the centre to the advice of trails by the uplift drivers

Went on a Thursday. The place is awesome. A private Welsh mountain full of well maintained and technically challenging courses for all abilities, a riders dream! Facilities on site were first class, perhaps not particularly cheap in the cafe but you’re not going there for the food. Great picnic/rest area for a packed lunch and resting. Free CamelBak water station for refills all day. One rider in the party had an off, injured a hand and the on site medical were a great help.

Uplifts were always coming and going, the drivers professional and obviously care for the human and 2 wheeled cargo. Definitely worth it.

I can imagine it getting very busy on weekends; parking might be a struggle on peak days but after the initial morning rush it all calms down.

Don’t hesitate to go, just be aware of your limits, the red and blacks are serious trials!

Very efficiently ran. With somewhat near 50 trails you barely see a sole on the track in front of you. Food, shop, staff all 10/10, trails 11/10.

We had a great day at BikePark Wales. I think the new trail grading of the blue and red tech trails works well for people like me who are progressing to riding more difficult technical features. Staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly on the uplifts.

In the cafe, the current menu doesn't suit me well. I'd like to see more choice of food that can be turned around quickly - like normal sandwiches (instead of or as well as wraps) and jacket potatoes with fillings.

This was our first trip. Absolutely fantastic. Loved the mix of trails, and the grading is amazing. When they say it's a red trail they really mean it.
Even though we were there on a busy weekend the uplift ran really smoothly, we either didn't wait, or waited a maximum of a few minutes. No traffic on the trails at all as there are so many of them, and people spread out accordingly.

First time here and absolutely loved it 👌

This was on my bucket list and it was an amazing first visit!

Even with the heat still managed to have fun. I would definitely come back again, been thinking about it ever since. Money well spent!

Booked uplift for the weekend sat and Sunday. It was really busy but you could see it was organised, plenty of uplifts and not much waiting.
Staff we're really friendly despite being busy and in a heatwave.
Excellent park, trails and staff. Can't ask for more.
