Generally smooth transaction and very happy. Solicitor was supportive through the transaction. My only feedback for an online solicitor would be to use something like docusign or equivalent.. also at the start when the seller took ages to move forward, would have appreciated some communication on whats going on, rather than just notifying when something happens

There were lots of positives using Bird and Co for our house purchase. Instructing and tracking progress was easy through their online portal and I was given a named team to direct my queries to. Communication was efficient at the start, but we did have to do a lot of chasing in the middle to progress things along. Once an exchange and completion date were confirmed progress picked up again.
The costs were upfront and transparent, and the team were happy to answer my questions throughout the process

I had nothing but a smooth experience with Bird and Co in my first time house property experience. The key aspect I appreciated the most and commend them on is their communication. Often most people’s bad experiences with their conveyancers is the poor lack of communication. I did not experience this at all with Bird and Co and all my e-mails would often be responded to within the same day or next latest. I rarely ever had to chase up or call for updates and any queries I had was always kindly met with a supportive response. On the few times I did need to call to discuss matters getting through to my solicitor was never an issue. Therefore if you are looking for a stress free (as much as it can be) experience, I would no doubt recommend Bird and Co. The solicitor who handled my case, Lauretta was very supportive and always proactive in chasing the sellers when things got quiet. My dad was going through a house sale at the same time and having seen the terrible experience and slow movement he was having with the lawyers on the other side made me truly grateful and appreciative of the service I was receiving with Bird and Co.
