I'm very sorry to say that I have been completely 'ghosted' by this firm (a senior partner, no less) since I asked if they would consider using Mercury signing for the conveyancing of my daughter's flat, as she resides in Australia.
I am taken back by this, as it is so unexpected from a so-called professional legal practice.

Tim, I find it almost impossible to believe that you were not aware of my emails sent to you at 5.23pm on the 24 March 2026 and 11.16am on the 31 March 2026. I copied in your colleague, William Parsons and my daughter, who received both emails. Neither of the emails came back to my Inbox as having failed to send.
I believe you are denying receiving my emails to try and save face here on Trustpilot.
I would not instruct your company, nor recommend it, regardless of whatever you have to say now. The damage done to any association we may have had is irrevocable.

Several properties we have sold now through Bonallack and Bishop. The service we received was very professional and most importantly proactive. Maria and Jen are very knowledgeable and brilliant problem solvers. Having been unfortunately entangled with other conveyancing services, we now truly recognise how efficient and effective both Maria and Jen are. The standard of work and level of communication, we were very impressed, and we set the bar high, our family having practiced in law. We definitely would recommend and will use again in the future. We chose Bonallack & Bishop for the conveyancing of our house sale and were allocated a solicitor at their Amesbury branch. As the property was in Salisbury we were slightly surprised. Initial contact by phone was prompt and helpful, particularly when we failed with the electronic ID checker.
We spotted a couple of errors in the contract terms, quickly resolved, but perhaps better proof reading would have avoided the problem.
The office staff and conveyancing team were very polite and courteous although they weren't always easy to contact by phone.
The conveyancing was completed swiftly, with no issues arising.

I have returned to her several times over the years and she always gives a superb service, is very easy to communicate with and is so knowledgeable.

Laura Pickett, acting for B & B is 3 years into dealing with my brother in laws estate.My wife and I were left the property and contents and other people have been left cash sums. The other beneficeries have now been informed that they will probably receive nothing the money has run out. I have had to employ solicitors to deal with B & B as they wont speak to me. My wife passed away new year 2025, when I questioned what was happening to the contents , I was told that my wife and I had plenty of time to clear the property whilst she was alive. How heartless is that. The property has now been cleared by B & B and even though I wanted photos of my Mum,Dad ,Sister and Brother in law ,they were all taken to the tip. I want the Property transferred into my name so I can sort this mess out. B & B say that there are liabilities on the property which I have said that I will cover , but they will not send the amounts. I have had to give them 1 star as I cant give a minus. Disgraceful ,heartless company

We have used Jacksons/Bonallack & Bishop three times for house sales and purchases over the last five years or so. This time our file seemed to move around the company a bit but once it landed on Anne Whitely’s desk in the Fordingbridge Office we knew we were in safe and competent hands. Matters were a little complicated with two parcels of land and the need for one transaction be expedited at the Land Registry consequent on another solicitor’s transaction. Anne navigated all this, answered enquiries and guided as through to exchange and completion on the same day. She is a real star of the company.

We used bonalack and bishop solicitors recently for the sale of our house and purchase of land, hollie and anita were amazing very efficient service, kept us upto date with everything along the way, if we emailed we would get a reply very quickly we completed quickly and would definitely recommend and we will be using them again in the future 😀

Jemma Latham and Sarah Stead worked hard for six months on the conveyancing for my property sale and managed to exchange and complete on the same day. Selling an apartment is not the most straightforward thing but they kept in regular contact with the buyers’ solicitor throughout.

They kept us informed of progress and were always polite to my daughter, who took on much of the process and contacted them a lot.

Bonallack and Bishop solicitors were very efficient and were always available even popping into their office in Fordingbridge was never too much trouble. I don’t think that our house move could have gone much better. A big thank you to them.

After buying a house almost 4 years ago we are still waiting for our Land Registry documentation on a new build property. AI says maximum of 2 years for Land Registry to issue the paperwork - this is in spite of chasing a number of times with B & B. Clearly not happy with their service as they have continually blamed Land Registry.

I have used Bonallack & Bishops Solicitors a number of times and have always found the staff to be courteous, friendly, honest and open. Those staff I have seen have always ensured that I am aware of the processes that were involved. They made sure that I was kept up to date with everything they were dealing with. No matter how odd my questions they listened to my concerns and always endeavoured to provide me with every thing I needed. I found Elizabeth, Webbe based at the main offices, to be, not only professional, but friendly and supportive. She kindly helped me with a number of different things I didn’t fully understand. She made things so easy for me. However, I was found that the Fording bridge branch of Bonallack & Bishop was different . It made you feel very welcome and had a relaxing if an old fashioned look. You really felt the staff were there for you. I met a number of different staff all of whom were very helpful and who listened to you. Often being prepared to go the extra mile. One example was Claudia. The needed some documents to be signed and having recently had an operation Inwas unable to get to the office. Claudia was kind enough to suggest that she come to me with the documents needing signatures. Lastly, the one person with whom I met or spoke to the most was Anne Whitely, she has been my rock over the last few months. Not just because of the work she does but for the support, explanations and understanding she has given me. She is tireless in her endeavours to help everyone who comes into the Fordingbridge office.i shall miss Anne. I would recommend Bonallack in the future should I need a solicitor.

I do not generally write reviews, and I do not like leaving negative comments, but I think this review is necessary.
There are quite a few bad reviews of this firm, and sadly this is yet another one. I chose them for conveyancing because they were local to my property and were on my agent's list of solicitors. Their fees are relatively high starting from £1,620 for domestic conveyancing. For this I got mistakes made at every stage of the process. From the start their automated software did not function correctly. I was then charged a fee in advance for letters they might have to write. After that I had to mostly prompt them to do anything at all, right through the whole process. This caused a crisis due to lack of time along the way.
Complex legal questions were forwarded to me with no help or explanation. When I questioned this, I got a tirade of self-justification from Hollie Jarvis. When pushed, they did apologize for each obvious mistake they made, but most ineptly, they even got the final transfer of completion funds wrong, again grudgingly admitting their error when pushed, but not offering a refund for overcharging me. Apparently, I have to initiate their complaints procedure to get any action on repayment. This is typical of the poor practice I encountered. As I diligently corrected all their errors going along, they did get the property conveyed, but it was a truly awful service. The only things they seem to be good at are overcharging and self-protection. Any normal business would refund automatically if they overcharged due to their own error. Not this lot. In one word: pathetic. They asked me to review them on Trustpilot and I have.
